I absolutely love everything about this technique! Possibilities are endless. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. Hugs,GinaB💕💖😍🥰 You chose the perfect embossing folder to showcase.
Thank you so much, Gina!! I couldn’t agree more. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave this comment it means the world to me. Sending hugs and appreciation, my friend. ❤️❤️❤️
These cards are gorgeous! I’ve been an at home card maker for around 30 years, I’m old now 😂. When I was scrolling through TH-cam videos I was so surprised and happy to see another “Eastwick” card maker. And one that makes videos to boot! Of course your name isn’t Eastwick but I was excited anyway 😁. Yay and Yay! I’m looking forward to watching your old as well as new videos. ❤️
Thank you so much Jan!! I saw your name pop up and was so excited 🤗 I have loved the movie Witches of Eastwick since I was a kid and thats how I came up with the name. And how cool is it that thats your name, I love it! I appreciate you leaving this comment…my newer videos have gotten better so bear with the old ones 😉 and thanks so much for watching. ❤️ Katy
The Eastwick section where the movie took place was named after one of my husbands great something uncles. People want to call us Eastwoods but I tell them “no, not like Clint. EastWICK like the movie 😁.
Thank you, my friend. I turned on CC (closed captioning). When you play the video hit pause and then look to the right top corner for the screw icon, right next to CC. Once you hit the screw icon select Captions and then select auto translate and select your language. Hopefully then you will be able to watch and understand what I saying 😊 Appreciate you, my friend. Katy ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing this technique. I was feeling uninspired, then found this video, and ran up to my craft space to play. I got a great result! Thank you!!!
Fantastic that I could find this great video 11 months after you posted it. It was exactly what I was looking for. Bravo on sharing amazing techniques. Love your suggestions on alternatives.
This is such a great technique. I have several of the Delicata inks and now I have so many ideas running through my head. Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to try this!
WOW, I always need masculine ideas.... this is so perfect! Thanks so much for sharing this brilliant technique with us! AND also for suggesting other products if we don't have exactly the ones you used. SO helpful!
I just found you!! Love these so much! I have so many gorgeous embossing folders but didn't know how to make them look like this! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
I've had Delicata pads on my amazon wishlist for a while, so now I MUST get them asap. I'm thinking these backgrounds would make totally awesome journal covers! Thanks for the video Katy, Love It!!
Ohhhhhhh, I 😍 the effect before you put the cardstock through the embossing folder. I've tried something similar with paints, waxes and pastes, but never with ink over white. Adding to my list of new to me techniques to try. And of course, the end result with all that glorious texture is also gorgeous. TFS 🥰
Loving the final pieces, especially the one without the initial inks applied. With the Delicatas on top, it really reminded me of embossed ceiling tiles. So very cool. Thanks for sharing! Cheers from FL😺
absolutely stunning, i just had to give it a try, but not a bottle of ink in sight lol, so i used acrylic paint and gilding wax and they turned out stunning thank you so much for the inspiration
Thank you so much, Elaine!! I love love love that you used the gilding wax and acrylic paint, exactly what I would have done as well. Appreciate you, my friend. ❤️❤️❤️
@@KimFaith01 yes, Kim exactly the look you get when using gilding polish or wax. So either will work for this technique. Using your metallic inks is just a great alternative 😊 appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️
These are stunning. I especially like the one that you embossed first. And thank you for not covering them up. They are too great. I am going to try this.
WOW!!! Your cards are amazing!! I just found your channel!!! I have those inks and have not used them much but I will now!! I love that you says what other products you can use instead!!
These are INCREDIBLE!! I was searching for the right word the whole video and you got it- Gothic. They had straight-up medieval vibes. Im definitely adding that embossing folder to my wish list. Great job!
Beautiful and yet simple! I used navy blue background and my TH distress paints to create a card front. I also used the “ink it up” brand gold pad I had for years! It turned out pretty well. My embossing folder from Ann Griffin wasn’t 3D but I have some 3D folders I’ll now try. Thanks so much for the inspiration when I needed to make a quick/pretty card for someone! ❤
Thank you, my friend. I love that you used navy blue and the distress paints are perfect as well. Yes, yes, any metallic ink will work!! I’m so glad you used things you had on hand. Would love to see a pic if you have one. Thanks so much for commenting. I appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️
So pretty! I have that folder and love it too. I have made something similar, but not for a long time. Because I saw this, I will get it out and use it in the next couple of days. Thanks for the inspiration.
These are great Katy! I love to do this kind of 'magic' to common paper, but I can't regret let go of them!? Lol I haven't made anything this elaborate looking tho, but it's definitely speaking my love language! Lol Great job! Oh, and that also is a PERFECT embossing folder for the look, love it! Tyfs and the inspiration! 🤗💕
Thank you, Marguerite!! I want to say yes, you could use metallic acrylic paint. But…I don’t know if it would apply the same, try using the sponge (small square) and dab off the paint so you don’t have to much. And apply it the same as the “base” colors…just gliding over the raised areas. If you try it and it works, let me know. And I will do the same 😁 Thanks for watching and commenting. Appreciate you. ❤️
Hi Debbie, thanks for your question. Honestly, I have never tried it so I don’t really know. If I were to try it, I would use a make-up sponge to apply it so it would lightly coat the raised areas. If you use your finger, like I did in the video, it may glob up and not be easy to apply to the raised areas. You want to make sure you have a thin amount kind of like you’re dusting on the raised parts. Let me know if you try it and how it turns out. Appreciate you, my friend. ❤️
Hi friend, thanks for your question. You can get this embossing folder from several places like Amazon, Simon Says Stamp, Sizzix, A Cherry on Top, just to name a few. Just Google, Tim Holtz Engraved embossing folder and it will show all the places to get it. Thanks for watching. Have a great day! ❤️
I love that you didn't clutter the card front with embellishments and a large sentiment. Thelat beautiful treatment needs to be dominant.
Thank you friend 😊❤️
I love them too!
