Tyra, good smoothed driving, looking confident, with a nice smile on her face! Be proactive, looking for potential hazard. awareness and observation. Well done.☺
This is really useful for me. I did my lessons and passed my test in a small town with no big roundabouts, no weird one way systems etc and have never driven in a big city or outside my town at all really! Passed with one minor first time. I did the Pass Plus scheme after passing my test so I did a bit of motorway driving - but after that, I just commute within my small town. I think the disadvantage of passing my test in a flat, small city has left me unprepared to deal with driving somewhere like London :( This learner seems to navigate these roads and roundabouts better than I would xD . This is really helpful for me to watch even though I passed years ago.
In the Netherlands it's nice to signal in the direction you are going on the roundabout to let the people approaching know you haven't reached your exit yet and are continuing on the roundabout, then signal the opposite way when taking your exit this is to stop unnecessary waiting for the people wanting to get on the roundabout
In fairness to Tyra, I hate driving around there. I've been driving for 10 years now and when I saw the Shell garage I'm pretty sure that was on the way to Greenford in west London. Probably one of the hardest places in the country to drive in.
Hi, do you have any advice on an instructor who cancels/changes last minute. 3 out of 3 times this has happened and I've bought bulk buy of 10, not sure what to do?
My instructor does the same. And I've come to the end of my patience with him. I'm literally at the point where I Coul do my test tomorrow and be ready for it, so I've cut down my lessons and my not go back to him...but I dunno
My instructor teaches me to change gear down into 1st and engaging 1st gear when approaching the give way line but only with closed or very closed junctions but I noticed you said about her approaching the junction, stopping at the give way line and then switching to 1st, was it an open junction?
It’s a preference thing, I just feel it can be overwhelming to try and stop and change at the same time. With more experience you can do it that way, when you first start driving focus on stopping when it’s a closed junction Even with junctions where you’re not completely sure if it’s safe, it’s better to stop and then look to go Hope this helps

You are set...welcome to the roads.
I passed with 2 minors a year ago. I had an embaressing moment, my instructor before the exam said if a light comes on its a service light that the examiner should ignore and told me to tell him... But when the light came on and I told the examiner, at the end of my driving test he said I'd actually not fully put the hand brake down and that's what the light was for 😅 make sure your hand brake is fully down folks. @@ClearviewDriving All Mercedes cars have been equipped with (Emergencey) Brake Assist for at least 15 years now.
