Passed with 2 minors today. I've had private practice and practice with an instructor but I never felt confident on the roads until I watched your videos. Huge thanks! I'll be recommending your channel!
Good luck Syed! I trained in Morden too for a full 50 hours in my training believe it or not. Get Rosehill roundabout perfect and you'll feel good to go. You have the confidence to drive so good luck on your test.
Lucky I found a good driving instructor, doing my test next Wednesday and I’ve done 26 hours total driving. Watching videos online helps some with remembering stuff but all the stuff I’ve learned from him. We do all the most difficult driving routes to make sure that we do easier stuff on test day and I’m fully confident. Feel sorry for the guy in your video and I also feel blessed I have a good instructor. Good video, hopefully if people are in the same situation as him then they will realise their driving instructor isn’t the best and will change.
Passed first time last week and I would like to say a big thank you, your videos helped me massively and I don’t think I could have passed without them. Thank you for spending the time to make them it means a lot to so many people!!! ❤️
Had this with my first instructor, driving quiet contry roads, doing the same things not making progress. Then with my second we drove hull city center doing dozens of mock tests and after 2 months I passed. Being thrown in the deep end really helps light a fire under you to drive better, and a instructor that has good lesson planning is a must.
Passed my driving test on the 28th with 1 minor (couldn't have done it without your videos so thank you) and I was so excited to stop watching driving videos now but I realised I need to drive independently now 😂 so I gotta keep watching. Plus, your videos are the absolute best!
Hi Francis. I was the learner on my test parked up behind you after the last crossroad there. Because Syed stalled at the junction, I didn’t expect a vehicle turning in from my right. Luckily, I saw the bright lemon car at the last minute at was able to hit the brakes. I waved at you when you came out the vehicle. I passed first time in Morden was one minor (clearance) and had never been to the area before. One time I would say is that I watched a lot of Morden test route videos, so I basically knew all the roads off the top of my head.
omdz i noticed there was a test coming from the left and i was like SHIIIIII that's why i jumped in and straight away told him to switch back on instead of letting him figure it out!! soon as i got out and saw the examiner writing you out a certificate i was like PHEWW YAAAZ. Syed, you've got the makings of a good driver, all you need now is a decent Instructor. That last junction, you should have gone further into the box and it was a hill start so you needed more gas and better clutch control, something else you should have been taught. Do get yourself a decent Instructor in Morden and you'll be able to pop back on here and wave that piece of paper and say "look what I've got". Good Luck with your driving.
Passed my test with 4 minors (that were silly mistakes) on the 29th, but I genuinely binged all of your mock test videos and they genuinely helped me. Thank you Francis!
Francis watching your videos a few years ago in Morden helped me pass my test 1st time in Morden I would love to shake your hand to say thank you!! As well as my own instructor but your guides to Morden were very on point!!!
Driving in the area is the best way to go, my instructor lent me her satnav with the routes on it, and my dad took me out on them (he was also very knowledgeable about our local area so he mixed and matched up the test routes once he knew them). Single-handedly the reason I went into test so confident, I already felt like I’d qualified because I got so much practice in every which way.
Safer to get in front of the Van and wait for the lights to change. If you start to peak and encroach into the left lane you could block traffic or have a collision. Obviously this depends on positioning but you got the idea.

Emergency stop isn't as difficult as people make out . The key thing is hit the brakes through the floor then observations after to leave. It's better to do just before so it's fresh in your head rather than 8 weeks before test and never do again

Syed explained, that the traffic in London means you cannot get to other destinations all within the driving lesson. So like Francis, advised Syed, needs to meet up with an instructor in Morden, as this will give him more time to practice in the area of the test centre
@magsarellaja6715 yes but you can go out of Brixton say 35 to 40 minutes then 35 to 40 minutes lesson in a new area then 40 minutes drive back and cover a wide variety of roads and junction outside of Brixton
@@wrightwoodwork The problem is, Syed says that he has his lessons after college, everywhere is gridlocked in South London when it comes to rush hour. Do you live in South London? You spend most of the time getting to the destination, only to spend 15 minutes driving before you have to turn back. Syed, for his benefit must find an instructor near the test centre area ASAP. However, I do agree that he should have experienced a Sat Nav, by now, South London or not
I feel sorry for this learner. This has happened to me before when I was learning. Driving in an area you know makes you feel really confident and gives you the impression your doing well which you are; until you find yourself in a different area and don’t know the route for your driving test. All of a sudden all the confidence and driving ability goes out the window. But also just to become a better driver you need to learn the challenging roads and experience driving in different situations. And if you’ve never used a sat nav before that’s even worse. This learner has been poorly prepared by his instructor. Kudos to Francis for helping to teach this learner something new, challenging and testing. Comfort zones in driving should never exist!
@ Thankfully not, I really enjoy watching your videos now I’ve passed. I’m still learning as a new driver even now. I think it can honestly be quite challenging to find an experienced instructor who is an expert in their craft. Very few instructors out there in my opinion that will teach you the importance of reading the road signs and explain everything step by step. Problem is there are plenty of good instructors but most the good ones tend to be fully booked which can make it hard for learners to find a good instructor. The last instructor I had was brilliant, explained everything in detail and was always asking me what I was seeing. But I had been through about 3 instructors and most of the ones I seemed to have were not able to help me. I only passed in automatic because of this but I will take it gladly. Perhaps it was bad luck. I just don’t want those learning to drive to have the same bad experiences I had with instructors. So I say to anyone learning to follow your advice and make sure you’re learning something and your instructor is calm under pressure. If you aren’t and it don’t feel right don’t be scared to try someone new.

If I was doing that junction for the very first time I would actually let the car in the opposite direction play it's hand first and not rush to turn into the refuse area as I would prefer to do an offside turn as it gives the best visibility. I'm guessing both right lanes are for going right and straight on anyone going straight will try to move left to go straight on. If possible always try to do a junction like that offside the only time you need to do nearside is if the cars in the opposite direction are directly in front and you have to turn right so you dont crash or it's a small junction. @ I think it’s more the variable of 2 options being correct and having little control over which one is used on any crossroads because they’re unlikely to set off as quick as the opposing traffic!
It's the 2020s not the 1990s when I passed and sat navs weren't really a thing. Now everyone uses during some point when driving. I don't use every journey but if I drive somewhere new then I'm using or if I have to go to new address for work I use . Even though I may know the area I might not know the street names etc
He is making 1 driving fault before junctions which is leading to stalls and that is not preparing the gear to be in the correct gear for the turn and moving off
Hello , hope you are doing well. I had 17 driving lessons modern test route .I would like to mock test with you .Could you please let me know if you have any slot for mock test next week Tuesday.
We cannot stay in a yellow box so I'd say have to move forward-right a bit more, to avoid blocking the road. What I always feel tricky on junctions turning right is, it's a bit difficult to decide should I go offside or onside (when no road marking is written), when you're not familiar with that junction. Some junctions are large enough to go offside but other road user tends to go onside (maybe because it’s safer in some way). So when there’s an “irregular” driver does an offside turn, the others might think what’s this guy messing up with, even if actually nothing done wrong. 😂 But if it’s a test, then observe the opposite side driver’s action before going, might be nice.
ngl, I feel it's also partially the student's fault, they should know the instructor need to be teaching sat nav and emergency stop, if that doesn't happen after 40 hours you should be questioning why. And it also mean the student has never watched any mock test videos to know what is included
I meaaaan. If you're 17 and paying a professional driving teacher to teach you how to drive you kind of assume they're gonna teach you how to drive 🤷♂️

Hello , hope you are doing well. I had 17 driving lessons modern test route .I would like to mock test with you .Could you please let me know if you have any slot for mock test next week Tuesday.
Nahhhh I’m proud of him😂😂😂😂
We dont use sat navs here. Can i ask why you do this over there?
Everyone uses them for getting around so I guess it’s good to be trained on them! Where are you from?
What’s with this click bait? Good video anyway. You seem like a really good instructor, anyone who has you is extremely lucky.
ive only used the sat nav once and ive done 60 hours failed 1 test on november the 1st im not doing anymore lessons till january
But if it’s a test, then observe the opposite side driver’s action before going, might be nice.
really good points!! but you can and should stop in a yellow box if you need to for correct positioning, you're turning right and your exit is clear
Can you explain what he should have done please
ngl, I feel it's also partially the student's fault, they should know the instructor need to be teaching sat nav and emergency stop, if that doesn't happen after 40 hours you should be questioning why. And it also mean the student has never watched any mock test videos to know what is included
I meaaaan. If you're 17 and paying a professional driving teacher to teach you how to drive you kind of assume they're gonna teach you how to drive 🤷♂️
usual suspect
