It can be hard if you are in a humid area, but mostly I would just say if you can keep them in a space with good ventilation and not too close together, that would be the best. I find that as long as they are in a dry and well ventilated space, they still smell fresh even years later. You can also buy those little silica gel bags to put inside and for smell, you can put dryer sheets in the pockets - of course that doesn't fix a humidity problem but it can sometimes mask minor unpleasant smells.
I would say that as long as they are not air tight (leather needs to be able to breathe) and you're keeping them out of direct sunlight, they should be fine in acrylic display boxes. Great way to keep the dust off while still being able to have them on display 😊
Hi, I got dustbags from Amazon. After I stored my handbags in them, the dustbag seemed so cold and sticky to touch. Is this a normal thing? I got cotton dustbags btw
That sounds very strange. Depending on what dustbags you bought, I guess they could have been treated with something. Maybe give them a wash before using again. Also, make sure the room you store your bags in is not damp.
Unfortunately a dustbag can't protect your bag from humidity, regardless of the type. The best thing would be if you could store them in a room that has good ventilation.
These are really good handbag tips!
Thank you! 🥰

Any recommendation on keeping them smelling fresh after storage and not old?

I got some acrylic plastic display boxes. Is it okay to store the bags in those boxes?

@EssexFashionHouse I live in a very humid place. I purchased now a bag with plastic bags that u showed on video. Hope it works. Thanks

Plastic container is out
As long as the leather can still breathe, the bags should be fine in a plastic container. But not if it is sealed or air tight of course.
