A+Start NOTE this is my favorite game of all time.
I've been casually speedrunning this game and I hit a glitch I've never seen before while doing an RTA. I got to Fryguy (the world 4 boss) and broke him down into the small Fryguys as usual, but when I hit one of them with an item, it didn't disappear in a puff of smoke like it was supposed to. Instead, it fell off the screen like a regular enemy. This caused some confusion within the program because when I killed off the other little Fryguys, the door didn't appear and I couldn't exit to the next world. Since there was no way for me to die, it essentially softlocked the game and killed the run.
Mr Meeseeks Glitch
It's a known glitch with the first version of SMB2. It was fixed in the revision or "PRG1" version.

wasnt there also a level where you rode one of birdo's eggs? probably intentional just incase you'd otherwise softlock yourself by killing birdo
Yup, I knew this
Birdos respawn when you get far enough away, just like any other enemy. However, on most birdos you can't do this because they're in small closed off rooms where you can't get the required distance away. From experience, it's also possible with the birdo in 1-1, should you use a super jump with Luigi to jump over the right wall, and then head back.
Good Night it happens to me with one of the green Birdos almost every time I play the game, the one on world 7-1 I think

0:36 it's because Luigi has a special jumping animation who gives you more frames to do a full hop. It also applies when jumping from stairs.

I don't get the point of low poly, AND I think it tool the place of for hacks sake, I watched the first episode of for hacks sake and loved it, I don't know why they didn't stick with that.

(3:17) Correction: Getting hit by an enemy doesn't make the fake item above your head turn real again. However, if you die (either through injuries, a bottomless pit, or the quick-kill code using controller 2), then the item will become real at the beginning of your next life.
(3:27) Actually, Birdo always respawns like any other regular enemy if you defeat him, scroll away from his spawn point, and then return. It's just that he won't have the crystal orb inside his body anymore. And, Birdo can respawn like that on any of the encounters with him in the game, not just in the 3-2 boss room (go ahead, try it in 1-1 or somewhere else). So, I believe this is intended behavior, and not a glitch.

"Respawning Birdo Glitch"
This actually happens everywhere. Birdo always re spawns if you beat him and leave the screen. I don't think it's a glitch, but it is weird to see him without the crystal ball.

3:41 I’ve encountered this on a lot of levels. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or not, but it is common. It’s on most of the levels with a Birdo boss fight, I believe.

Hey, A+ Start, I was digging though a box of old DS games, and I found one of my old favorites - Adventure Time: Hey Ice King Why Did You Steal Our Garbage. I actually found it to be quite glitchy and I recommend you to check it out. I have the DS version, not the 3DS version, so I recommend you to use that one. Andy I like the Son of a glitch and you should continue the series. Even if it's new or old, 2D or 3D, or Popular or not It's still fun to see all of the glitches in the game and will be sad if it's stopped

There’s a glitch that happened to me once and I’m guessing it’s those really really rare glitches. But anyways when you start the game on the very first screen when you land by the first red door of the game I threw a vegetable and opened the door at the same time and immediately ended the game and went to the ending animation. This must be one of those perfect timing glitches because I could never replicate it again...but you might be able to.

Nope I was 6 years old in my living room. But it was the original Nintendo which already was full of glitches when playing games.

There's a glitch (Also in NES) that if you are on a vine, and a (Bug thing) pushes you into the cloud, you'll... Be half in the cloud, while still climbing.

2:43 Actually, this glitch it's the most useful one for a speedrunner. Like you can quickly kill birdo in 1-2 with a extra hit with that plant on the character head. You win a bit of time by doing that.

This reminds me of AVGN's Glitch Gremlin episodes, where he showcased some of the glitches in this game, including the Shy Guy Fly, the Changed Gravity Log, and the Door Bomb.
