I'm not a doctor or nothin' but from what I've seen, the concern of HSA is the difference between a 6 month shelf life in pack or a 12-18 month shelf life in pack. I've had brewers ask about their short shelf lives and generally their cold side process is pretty tight, then I watch a brew day with them and they're beating the shit out of the grain during the mash and really spinning the vorlauf. Fix your wort handling, go more gentle, and make sure your cold side process is tight, and you'll get awesome shelf life even with heavily dry hopped beers
Grain could plug your holes on your sparge ring. I’ve done it. It can be difficult to unclog it when it happens
A++ thumbnails per usual
Wouldn't the concern with using the sparge ring for vorlauf be that the small grain bits in the initial recirc could clog the spray holes in the ring?

It about efficiency at the end of the day. This wouldn’t help you at all basically on a large scale. Just make cleaning a total bitch haha
