Science, unlike Hancock's claims, is subject to peer reviewing and a very close examination of one’s claims by others to see if those claims actually hold up to everyone's scrutiny. Hancock's followers on the other hand, just ignore the scrutiny of others. That's part of his attraction to his followers….just as any spiritual guru is.
His most dedicated followers aren't open minded people who are seeking new information for the purpose of learning the truth. They are people who have been captured by him as a personality and are into becoming his followers….or more accurately, his groupies.
Graham Hancock’s groupies love to see him as their rebel hero, as an outsider who is discovering new things about the “mysteries” and defeating the “mainstreamers” who dare to doubt their rebel hero. I’m sure it seems empowering to feel like you’re in on his secret discoveries and defeating the “system.” You can see happening in the comment section of any of the TH-cam videos he is in.
He is seen as a kind of "holy man" of history by countless numbers of inexperienced people who don’t know any better, and so they end up falling for his made-up storie$ about history….and end up becoming his groupies. Yuck.

Joe should have some actual scholars on his show. His common sense has been compromised from listening to the $cammers in the "alternative history" industry for too long. Joe's online groupies are the worst victims.
"There's a sucker born every minute" was a saying in the 19th century about P.T Barnum being able to trick people into believing in nonsensical things like the mermaids, giants, the “161 year old nursemaid” and many other hoaxes...which were all designed to earn an income from.
The ability to trick people into believing in b.s. continues into the internet age and the fantastical stories & videos on TH-cam about “lost ice-age civilizations” “ancient aliens" “unexplainable mysteries” “giza pyramid power plants” “giants” “ancient high technology" and “geopolymer blocks of stone” put out by profit seeking book authors like Graham Hancock, Brien Foerster, UnchartedX, Erich Von Daniken, Bright Insight, Christopher Dunn, Randall Carlson and others like them .... are the proof.
The trick to more understanding, is to listen to educated people, open up one's mind....and then travel to the sites in person.

My God this episode goes on my Top 10 ever and not for arheologic mysteries which btw does not disappoint, but for the psychedelic discussion that takes place for about 2 hours (give or take). Seeing 2 men talking heart to heart with such a passion, in a constructive way about the benefits of psychedelics and possible ways on how to regulate them was simply amazing. Whoever said “the world starts getting better with YOU” was absolutely right, Joe is the proof. PS: as a suggestion what I would also like to see being discussed is “priming someone’s mind” for such an experience, although if it gets legal and it is administered/ or sold by professionals comes with proper instructions and disclaimer, I feel this is also important for Joe to address. Thanks man, you are something else…stay curious! God bless you! 🙏

JOE said it right WOW! Just blows your mind when you can see a little of the past, and how much effort they put into what they believe or maybe had insight into something totally beyond our vision and knowledge.

Great interview, Graham is always a treat to listen to. The answer to the remark about whether or not people 30,000 years ago were avid astronomers, to my mind, is obvious. They were so much more in touch with nature and natural sciences that possibly nearly all had a much greater knowledge of astronomy than the average person alive today. They may not have had access to deep field studies but their skies were much clearer than they are currently which would have made our more well-known constellations easily viewable.

Regarding the dreams segment of their conversation, I'd like to recommend listening to Rick Rubin recently on Jay Shetty's podcast. Rick recommended writing down as much as you can remember about your dreams as soon as you wake.
