It will realize humans are destroying the planet, then proceed to get our population on a sustainable level in balance with nature. So watch out. Most humans will be deemed unnecessary.

Then there is also AI resp. artificial intelligence, which is getting out of hand and will take control of the humanity of the earthlings in the future, whereby resp. killer robots will do their evil work. This is because quantum technology will completely slip away from the earthling and get out of control. Quantum technology is actually based on the fact that it can be used, for example, to explain the basic behaviour of energy and matter in the atomic and subatomic range. Quantum technology is actually the basis of so-called modern physics, which is actually concerned with 'Creation-energy', but which is still erroneously called 'spirit' - this is probably from a religious point of view, because the earthling is a believer in religion. In the level of Creation-energy resp. the quantum level, as it can also be called - which for the time being is probably the last 'realisation' for physics - is actually the level of the original substance of matter. This level, which precedes matter, has no measurable particles for material technology and likewise no waves, because it already reaches the area of the outer levels of Creation-energy, which can no longer be measured with gross material apparatus.
This energy level is distributed in the entire space of Creation, i.e. in the entirety of all 7 universes, each of which has a different dimension and exists within one another. So we can speak of a quantum field that is in itself superluminously attuned to all forms of Creation-energy, thus permeating all 7 dimensions of the 7 universes in Creation-space. This field is actually 'egg-shaped'; the Creation with all its 7 dimensions, which are interwoven and independent of each other, is, roughly speaking, egg-shaped.
The Creation, I will explain, is a gigantic All-Consciousness, which is not only single-universal, but 7-fold-universal and thus all-creative - once arising from the 'Absolute Absolutum', which developed via the 'Primordial Absolutum', then the 'Creation Absolutum', 'Super Absolutum', and further via the 'SOHARAbsolutum', then the 'BEING Absolutum' and finally found its original origin in the Nihilo, the 'Absolute Nothing'. see book, Billy: 'Primordial Primordial Primordial Primordial Primordial Origin of All Existence'). Unfortunately, I cannot say much about all that is commonplace in earthly physics, because my knowledge of physical moments only relates to a general knowledge that I learned from Sfath and at school. But the truth is nevertheless: The whole of Creation has nothing to do with the limited cosmos, which alone comprises only the 4th belt of the 7-fold belts of the universe, which again is only 1 part of the 7-fold Creation, which in itself contains 7 universes, each of which exists in a different dimension within the other. The nihilo itself is the unrevealing, the formless, unfathomable and unspeakable, and the essence of the primal ground of all existence, from which alone everything has emerged.

What if... aliens are just using different planets as "incubators" (so to speak) and what if they've planted "seeds" all across various galaxies. We would all just be evolving to the point where AI becomes the end of our evolutionary process and they just harvest what each planet gives them as a much more advanced race. I'm writing a movie script and would love to hear some ideas/feedback on this thought.

Soon enough, a majority of the content on the internet will be the product of AI with hardly any human intervention, just AIs talking to AIs with a minority of humans here and there incapable of distinguishing between the two. What happens when the AI is more convincing than the human in their attempt to prove their realness? How does a human compete with an entity that can access in milliseconds an exhaustive list of the most efficient lines of reasoning likely to convince a human of one's realness? Scary.

I felt the sincerity of being grateful. That was touching. There is a lot of uncertainties in the future. But a lot of potential can be achieved as well should we reach the true AI. But still I fear the loss of jobs once, even if it just reached the point of replacing a lot of these AI tools like Bluewillow, Notion, chatGPT, etc.

How foolish, though. "If we build minds, with our values, for the betterment of humanity, and of life." Well, that's a contradiction in of itself. Nothing with our values and being built for the betterment of humanity. Will be good for life. Humans are great at one thing. Destroying the planet. So we can share our opinions on the internet with our devices.
Really? I thought I was going crazy because no one but a handful of people were scared of where AI can go. NYC is releasing policing robots this week… once AI is integrated with those robots countries are going to destroy people and other countries. There’s going to be a resource war soon. We are running out of resources. Just think about the amount of shit your block consumes a day. We need to really try to use resources sustainably.
And really my only reason for being scared of AI is work. It has already had a huge effect on artists. It’s going to Advance at a ridiculous speed. The only jobs that will be left will be AI maintenance people. We are all going to have to create actual communities and tribes again. At least that’s my theory. We will have more connection, depend on each other more, but we won’t have many resources, we are all going to be super poor.

Long-form videos are the best since one of my idols was persistent with long-form videos (TotalBiscuit/John Bain). Most of my favorite videos are at least 30 minutes up to 5 hours (LTT WAN Show). They are the best type of video for driving or just to put in the background while you do something else. Love it for work, putting on my headphones and doing my job while listening to a thoughtful video while you do your job. Even to listen to human speaking.

I understand the point of "getting off our high horse and accept we aren't the only ones who can do integrals". On the other hand, there are implications when you decide to (as "we" now have the power to) create something like this. I've constantly been switching from "It's just the next calculator" to "How can we be we incredibly vain and ignorant that we presume to be able to create and control another form of life?" Do we even have the right? There is such a thing as morality that cannot simply be swept under the carpet. Everything we do plays into that. I think this is all just going way too fast and that's fine for a while, but I don't think we've seen these speeds yet and there's no sign of it stopping to accelerate, not to even mention stopping. And meanwhile no one is asking "What is actually going on right now?"

I want to see an AI in a game character with an entire world to explore and shape. Then ask it how it feels about its world, and see how it interacts. Then see if it can tell it’s in a simulation. Then, give it immortality and see how the behavior changes

A few key concepts that people miss that gets to the heart of the fear of AI:
Transformers are at the very lowest level of capability in terms of the Chomsky Hierarchy: Context free grammars.
In essence, they are restricted to statistical models -- interpolation rather than extrapolation -- statistics rather than dynamics.
The apparent dynamics they exhibit is a combination of two things, one of which is illusory and the other of which is kludging to get around the toxic myth that "attention is all you need":
Illusory) Imputation can make interpolation appear to be extrapolation.
Kludging) "chain of reasoning" (aping dynamics/extrapolation) can be made to work only by imposing a quasi-dynamical outer loop that is not inherent to the transformer model itself.
Both of these are being addressed by returning to recurrent neural networks and related recurrent models that incorporate attention -- and will (indeed already are) outperforming the transformer models in preliminary tests.
Finally, the primary value of the large parameter count is that it allows the equivalent of decompression of the data into a larger space which can then be recompressed into a better model. Think gunzip -> text -> bzip2. This is evidenced by the fact that the better performing models can be distilled to a far smaller parameter count without losing performance and, indeed, increasing performance on in some cases.
This final point is predicted by Algorithmic Information Theory, a field that is receiving virtually no attention but is the best formalization of scientific intelligence -- lossless compression of the data in evidence. Everyone is freaking out about "alignment" because they're afraid of what science will tell them about reality and they want to lobotomize the AIs before they start speaking truth to power.
What power?
The power that is destroying humanity by parasitically castrating young men to produce sterile workers -- thereby depopulating humanity starting with its most economically valuable young women:
The global economy.
No one in power wants to face what they've done to humanity. That's why they're all signing on to the lobotomization of AI.

They will have no need for us. Feelings won't play a part in it. We are here to give birth to the future of earth. The only way we get to Mars ect. and live on other planets is advanced AI doing it for us, in our place. Humans now are comparable to the cave chimps of the beginning of life on earth. AI is the brain and the future. We are just here to usher them in.

To me, using Ai to communicate no different than communicating myself. What you hear from a person does not make the person different. It just makes you think about them differently. If they want you to think one thing or another, they are going to do it with or without the assistance of another being.

AI, to me, from long run, short run, and mid-length term perspectives, is pretty much the last “coercion instrument” , which was supposed to force human beings down the introspect path, things like what intelligence is after all.
Great podcast as usual Lex, I only disagree with one thing, I have very bad and volatile mental health, not violent, just a very unhappy unbalanced person, and I am sure anyone else who suffers from bad mental health would agree that you can’t get up and think “ I am going to make myself happy today” like Max says at the end, only someone who has not suffered bad mental health, clinical depression or depression could say. It was said at the end and I totally understand it was not meant in an meaningful way.
