    The exact comparison I was looking for, thank you brother

    I think ExtremeRate is actually better. its pretty much a build your on scuf, I've been using the edge for some time now, and I think the paddle designs are poor aswell as the half domes, neither allow you to fully grip the controller, paddles get in the way, half domes require you to stretch, when it comes to weight, Edge is heavier and the design is less ergonomic than the standard dualsense, I dualsense justs fits better slightly smaller, less hefty, customizable stick sensitivity jus meh, can never get it right, I ordered stick replacements, yet the deadzone was still better on the Dualsense standard. Triggers on the edge just irritate me, neither feels the same, one feels clicky one feels spongy, on any trigger lock setting. Bear in mind its still basically new 2 ish months old.

      Bro my dualsense edge back grip has start to peel off. I handle all my controllers with care and now it’s even more slippery than my 2 years old standard ps5 controller
      The edge feels like it’s melting off

      same here, i ordered the extreme rate paddles as well as the cliky kit , iklove how they give you all the stuff to build your controller and not an expensive prebuilt controller. i would say this would be a problem for the daily consumer that doesnt like taking things apart

    Great video! Thanks. I'm opting for the Extreme Rate because of the cost compared to the Edge (+ the risk of the latter one breaking).

      They do work really well and mine is still going strong. I'd strongly recommend the metal ones, my plastic back pedals got so slick with use I'm having to use rubber bands for grip on them, but they work great.

    thanks man, this was really useful. I have a ds edge and my brother made me a custom controller using extremerate parts and soon gulikit tmr's, I wanted to see if there would be a big difference and it seems it's not as much of a gap as I thought. My edge feels so good to me but now I am confident I will love my custom controller just as much!

      I really want to do the trigger mod now, can’t believe the trigger stops on edge leave so much travels.I was looking the back pedals of the hex controller, they look better to me, extremerate confirmed that those are hex exclusive and no chance they could sell those.Still have to say I’m a fan of extreme rate products, still playing with my plastic rise remap daily.

      @@thephototechy its good specially if you play fps games, on racing games tho i wouldt recommend it since its instant once you press, im also a fan of extremerate since they cost cheap and has good quality. how long have you been using the rise 4? coz im afraid 1 day the paddles would just snap.

      @@MobSayko hey so around 4 months now, I do have the foams underneath them and had to put on a small rubber band on the pedals, as they got real slick and slippery. No play or issues in the pedal and I think I do grip with some force. I was worried about the same thing, but so far they are doing very good. Still I want to get the metal ones and replace them.

      @thephototechy  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MobSayko hey you are most welcome bro. Yes the foam makes it harder but allows me to grip properly without pressing them. I kept on accidentally actuating the pedals and had to keep my fingers off them. I’m also thinking of getting the RMB, I read on Reddit they have more resistance. I think we can just buy the button module and install that, instead of the whole installation.

    • @thephototechy
      @thephototechy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey I haven’t tried the textured one. The rubber isn’t very soft but does help with the grip a lot, the texture does look like more grippy in images but I can’t say for sure.

    I have the dualsense edge and the inferno kontrolfreek(ur is galaxy)... my question is does it make sense to get the precision rings? I struggle with aiming tbh

    • @thephototechy
      @thephototechy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey bro I love precision rings, even though Im now playing without them, they helped me to go from 6-7 sensitivity to 14-15 now and thats without the rings. I'd say they are definitely worth it if you want to play at higher sensitiviy and improve accuracy. You can keep using them but they do work a bit differfently in different controllers. So my advice would be to get just one pack of soft green ones, coz putple ones will make you way more dependant on them and you'll always will need them, hope this helps bro.

    • @willy7968
      @willy7968 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thephototechy thanks bro, can I know the reason u now play without it?

    • @thephototechy
      @thephototechy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@willy7968 hey so their feel differ from controller to controller, so some controllers have a more space under the thumbsticks cap and some don’t, I realised I much preferred the ones with more space so the ring only affected the movement after 30-40% movement, where it’s a bit tight the restriction happens a lot sooner. So in my case using so many different controllers that consistency wasn’t there. When I started playing without them after I’d say 3 - 4 months use, I realised I still needed the high sensitivity and just couldn’t play with low sensitivity at all. In my case I really struggled to get to the high sensitivity and feel comfortable, using these changed that for me in all the games I play.
