      I broke my pcb for the bdm 30 and now the stores only sell 40 is there anyway for me to find a bdm-30 pcb board or controller. I cant find it anywhere. Now I have all these extremerate parts and stuff and no bdm30 controller pcb board. If I can just buy a bdm30 that’s fine too. I just bought like 5 controllers and had to return them all bc there bdm 40

    You save so much money by going with Extremerate.
    The PS5 regular controller is £60. I bought their clicky triggers (£25), the metal back paddles (£50) and a cool front shell (£20).
    ~£150 is still way cheaper than the base scuff models starting price of £250

    The custom controller is nice but I like my dual sense edge controller simply because of of the fact that most gamers don’t only play shooter games so to be able to switch the trigger points on the edge controller is what makes this controller amazing and the fact that if the controller does start to drift you can just switch out the modules and go plus I just ordered a smoke clear case for my edge controller

    I have both. The quality control of eXtremeRate is not good. I had to return and buy again twice on Amazon because of the material defects. Even the final one I got the back buttons gets loose overtime and needs to retighten with screw driver often. The fit of the back plate is not as good as original PS5 one. If you calculate the price of ps5 controller + mods, and it's not far from Dualsense Edge. Not to mention the time wasted on installation. I only bought eXtremeRate last year because I play COD and PS5 didn't announce their Pro controller yet. Now I have Dualsense Edge, i want to restore the eXtremeRate one back to original PS5 controller.

      We're sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced. Ours honestly works and feels very high quality. Note they have many different triggers and parts, but at least the ones we've purchased, we have zero complaints about. We of course still like our Edge but we do think the extremeRate build has its own advantages, same with the Edge. Regardless the point here is to show that someone can build their own pro style controller for $70 if they don't have $200 to spend or don't want to spend $200. That's because they will already have a controller that came with the PS5. Definitely not for everyone but a good option for those that can't or don't want to spend the money on the Edge or competitors like Scuf, AIM, and Hex. Thanks for your comment and feedback. When we have a company asking us to review a product, we don't do it unless we have interest in the product. We get asked often about reviews and ignore almost all. We buy 99% of everything we review. This one had our interest as we already had a product we purchased from them and we love the performance from their included parts. So we wanted to test a build using more of their parts to see what we thought. We both love it and think it's a great option for people that either don't have the money or don't want to spend the money on something like the Edge. Sorry if you thought one of us was talking over the other or one doesn't like it but we are both fans and only make videos like this to help people that might not know of an option or product. 2:12 - Metal sticks is a BAD idea.. If you want to get familiar with Stick snapback, then.. by all means.. use metal ones. Otherwise, if you don't want to curse every other 10 seconds, you'd use the lightest ones that you can find, ex, the plastic ones.. It's one of the reasons I prefer the Edge's interchangeable sticks to the Elite's metal/magnetic ones.. (nearly had that Elite S2 to meet the wall because of the stupid stick snapback making my character face the wrong direction or falling off a ledge for 1mm of movement when I let go of the stick.. )

But let’s see 70$ controller plus 70$ mod kit and you have to mod the controller yourself and hope you don’t mess up vs something that’s already done ? Yes it comes out 40$ cheaper but you don’t get everything the dual sense edge comes with and you better hope you never get stuck drift because you can’t replace them like the dual sense edge.

    • @CompleteGeekTV
      @CompleteGeekTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. A controller comes with the PS5, so that is why we took it out of the equation. If someone was trying to save money, buying another controller to mod it wouldn't exactly be the smart way to do it. We do cover this in the video. The point of this isn't to say one option is better than the other but to show that options are available if someone doesn't have $200 to spend or doesn't want to spend $200. There are also a couple of advantages as well, same with the Edge having advantages. This is to only show that this option is available, but it's not for everyone. We still enjoy love our Edge, but we think this option is great for those who need or want to save money and want a pro experience.

      you also get a way longer battery life with the og controller lol

      @@who_else_but_dee2821 yes the og controller does last a little longer but not by as much as people are led to believe. Back when we first got the Edge we did a battery test of both a stress test and a normal gameplay test and they weren’t as big of a difference as we expected. Plus the Edge easily lasted long enough in both tests to cover just about any gaming session I’ve ever done.

      @@who_else_but_dee2821 not to give to much away but we just filmed a controller test today with some very specific measuring tools to test the response time of triggers sticks and overall gameplay accuracy in FPS games. We did this with the Scuff Reflex FPS, Dualsense Edge, hex Rival Pro, Victrix Pro BFG, EXtremeRate build, and the original PS5 controller and depending on your play style the edge may not be the best controller. I still think it’s a good all around option though! Hoping to have that video up early next week. We did a lot of tests that I haven’t seen anyone else do before and are hoping to name an overall tactical controller winner.

    That’s not 70 by any stretch of imagination. More like 70 for the controller and 70 for the upgrades making it a 140 dollars controller. At best 120 dollars controller but then you miss so much, no case, no cable lock, no long cable, no trigger locks. No removable back paddles. No replaceable sticks. No software etc etc

    • @CompleteGeekTV
      @CompleteGeekTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We do mention in the video that we are not including the cost of the controller because we think this option is best only if you already have an extra one. We also say it doesn’t include every feature of a Dualsense, specific some that you mentioned. But if someone uses the CGTV discount code on their site when buying the parts then it actually comes out to less than $70.

      Their point is that you don't need to spend $70 on a controller because the PS5 comes with one. I also think the point is that it can be an alternative to it for people looking for a cheaper option. Especially only ones that want the back buttons and click triggers. The point isn't to say one is better than the other but to let people know it's an option.

      All I want is 4 back buttons, no need for anything else personally. I have the Xbox elite v2 and never use anything but the initial stick tension adjustment and back buttons. The rest could be there or not, no difference to me.
      The official Sony version dropped the ball on only having two back buttons/paddles and poor battery life. Having all 4 face buttons on the rear paddles makes gaming so much smoother almost never having to take thumbs off sticks.

      @@spud69g yeah 4 would have been nice. As far as battery goes the Dualsense Edge is not nearly as bad as some reviewers are saying it is! We actually did a pretty extensive test with normal gameplay and even a stress test to see how long the battery lasts compared to a standard Dualsense and it was pretty close! We made a video on that if you’re interested.

      Just installed mine; did basically the same setup as this video, except I got the real metal button version of the back paddles. Pretty pleased with it. I also like the increase in weight it adds.
