I like that this one has a formal dining area and the little hideaway in the master closet…glad you figured out how to open it! It’s a stunning house!!

I'm OBSESSED with this floor plan, it's so spacious but not just for the sake of adding empty space - and it flows so well. The powder room in the garage is perfect for when the kids are playing outside and need to run in to use the restroom or for when someone is doing work on the exterior of the house. Of course, I have a very unique whimsical finishing style so I'd have to customize everything but the size of the space but every inch of it would be used as a wonderful family home and space for the holidays allowing everyone to have somewhere to hang out/play games. Decorating would be so much fun! I'd probably turn that extra little hideaway into a cat room and leave it open haha

Timothy, these new homes you have been touring in texas have some lovely landscaping! I truly believe that tasteful landscaping has a huge impact on the overall look of the home. Its not the same without it and its often overlooked. The house is the star of the show, but that landscaping shown here is definitely a supporting role. It would be nice to see a little more of what they planted there. It's more work for you and the wife, but I think it would be worth it to talk for a moment about what the designers did. The reason I ask, is we are about to finish our custom built home, and I'm racking my mind about what to do with landscaping.

Tim, all glass is glazed (glass guys are called glazers). The opaque effect is frosted. There’s also rain glass (over the toilet in the primary bathroom in this house, for instance). Excellent work, as usual. Please keep ‘em coming!

For that price they skimp on soft close doors and drawers? I love the house but that says to me they may have skimped out elsewhere. I did see what looked like mini split A/C’s in the garage, so that’s a bonus! You don’t need to sweat you butt off out there and it’s separate from the central air so you’re not wasting energy. I like that a lot!! How about the windows? Are they hurricane resistant?
A room, in this case an office, that you enter from the landing between two flights of stairs, is something I've never seen before. Usually you just see a wall where those double glass doors are. Interesting.
I think I would have developed the microwave area to be a full coffee and tea bar with its own small sink. I think you might want another inch or two but bringing the counter down to a servey counter would fix that. Lowering the countertop height to servery height which is about two inches lower to allow trays to be easily placed on or removed from by catering staff.
@@cocoabiscuits Yeah that had occurred to me but I figured someone else qwould come up with that. I also would have put a wine fridge in somewhere in the kitchen as well.

Nice home. The bathroom situation on the main floor is not really sufficient for such a grand home. Since the powder room in the garage is not suited to be accessed from inside the home, the remaining bathroom is the shared one by the smaller bedroom. So it serves as the bathroom for that bedroom (likely a guest bath - hey guest do you mind keeping this bathroom immaculate during your stay?), the pool and all of the main floor entertaining spaces.
