    These are about as good as bike checks can be. Super in-depth measurements with good rider questions being asked. Well done Doddy! Please keep these coming.

    Jesse' setup is ace, love his videos on the MGM alternative channel where they go into depth of the choices they make for bike setup and the way they measure them and test. inspired me to do some tinkering on my own bike with great affect, amazing what a few little tweaks to to bar height, bar roll can do

    I do like the fact that they try to bring back the go on these monster slack/long bike, it kinda shows we are getting too far with that.

    Allways intresting to hear and see how the pros set up their bikes. It looks like the pros are comming back from the industries push to turn enduro bikes into dh boundries. Not longer than 170 front, not slacker than 63.5, no wider bars than 770mm.... Makes me think.

    a brake thing i'm thinking off is running shimano levers and hope E4 callipers. play some mix and match
    (edit)
    before anyone say's can't due to fluid, hope released the RX4 calliper for road bikes in versions for both sram (dot) and shimano (mineral oil). and being that hope never like to change anything the RX4 uses the same odd sized pistons and bore caps as the E4 and M4 callipers, even the dot seals have the same part codes on the PDF's. which means the Shimano seals for the RX4 callipers will work in the E4/M4 callipers even going back to the 2001 versions with 4 pads per calliper.
    the newer E4 with Equal pistons use the large seals from the rx4 calliper so you'd just need 2 sets of seals to convert them
    should allow use of hope and the small 1finger shimano lever.

    Great bike check video! This is how they should all be. Very interesting to see how pros setup their bikes and why. I think Richie’s brake component mix is pretty interesting. Given he uses CC Pro, DH casing tires and Saint SPDs he obviously places a premium on a hard use enduro rig.

  • @ianfurqueron5850
    @ianfurqueron5850 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Definitely neat to see how the pros set up their bikes. Also interesting how all three are running almost the same bar width despite the height disparities. It also has me considering narrower bars on my own bikes (currently 760, 780 and 800 for trail, enduro and hardtail respectively). I also run my Shimano levers fairly inboard so I can only grab the end of the lever with my index finger and with an engagement pretty close to the grip.
    Folks should definitely check out Jesse's MGM Alternative channel. Lots of fun videos with him, Miranda Miller and Remi Gauvin.
