Thanks for doing all these reviews and tutorials. I have learned much and am more comfortable attempting some some guitar maintenance and upgrades that take too much money and too much time at the guitar store with me not having enough knowledge to know if things were done correctly or at all for that matter. I have purchased a couple low price Amozan guitars based on your reviews and found the issues you note and address make the purchase worthwhile. I really enjoy listening to you noodle around once you're done, you have a great repetoire to suit the style guitar. In my mid fifties and been noodling since twenty. but never had a teacher or mentor to point out whats what. Purchased this IYV IP 350 in Canada where we vote to make everything more expensive so I was pleased to find the guitar as you noted, did basic maintenance and string change and found myself with a guitar that has a lovely rich tone and very comfortable to play. I certainly will continue check you for future purchases and check out your videos to further chip away my ignorance. All the best
Hi Markie…thanks so much for watching and commenting. So glad to hear you are finding the channel enjoyable and helpful! Congrats on your IYV!! Truly appreciate your stopping into the channel and sharing!! 🎸👍
I enjoyed your in-depth review here. There's a nice local pawn shop that I visit now'n'again. There it was, an IP-350 in a huge floor rack, it shone like a diamond among a bunch of rocks.A 2021, not even any strumming scratches on it. $130 Cdn. The Squiers around it in much poorer cond'n were priced way too high and lacked the finesse of the IYV. I'm guessing that it was priced low simply because of "IYV" brand. Well I have a lot of Squiers and Epiphones here and the IP-350 is a cut above with its set neck, binding, contoured top and better headstock design. It sounds like any Squier or Epiphone which is a compliment. I have 2 IYV's now, I have not one bad thing I can say about either. Cept maybe I can't coax them into fancy pickin' the way you do.
Hi Rutiger…thanks so much for watching and commenting. I like your story of how you came to find yours…congrats and enjoy it! Someone’s unfortunate loss..your fortunate gain! Thanks so much for stopping into the channel and sharing! Truly appreciated! 🎸👍
I bought one thinking the investment required was disposable funds. If nothing else, something for the kids to use for play. I have multiple high end “REAL” guitars. Mine was perfect out of the box. My new favorite guitar for sure
@@bryanhatch6688 Hi Bryan…thanks so much for watching and commenting. Surprisingly good, right? Thanks so much for stopping into the channel and sharing! 🎸👍
Jimmy you are spending my money! Might have to get one of those! Out of curiosity I put IYV address in Google Earth. Boom took me right to it. That is the city known as Saigon during the Vietnam war. Street view works on some major streets but not at the factory address.
Very nice demo Jimmy , i am shocked how clear and articulate the pickups sound. Also your playing has some Allman Brothers flavor , enjoyed it. Take care!✌👍🎸
Jimmy, Thanks for getting me back in touch with my Monoprice 15 watt. Sounds much better with the external speaker hooked up. And this new IYV looks superb for the money. Watch for my new channel starting soon. Going to be looking at builds, mods, budget guitars and amps and hopefully helping folks to not make the same.mistakes I did. Calling it the Woodstock Guitar Guy Show. See you soon!
My pleasure Michael…the amp opens up nicely with a external cab for sure! Look forward to seeing your channel! Good luck to you, and thanks again for stopping in to the channel and sharing! This IYV is very enjoyable…👍🎸
I am glad I waited until 5 o'clock Kansas City time. Your opening blues jam was so great that I grabbed my Friday beer and started again. 🍻! And rock on.
Thanks so much John! That’s very kind of you, and hope you enjoyed your beverage! You should grab another for the outtro as well…😎🍻 Thanks so very much for stopping in to the channel, much appreciated! 👍🎸
Nice review again sir. I love mine too, a paltry $169 at the time, $235cdn by the time it got to me. Mine is identical to yours with the frets a little scratchy but certainly playable out of the box. I think the binding is neat, I think its painted on with a grain effect, done real clean too. This one is bang on 8lbs, but overall super comfy to play. I much prefer it over the 2 Fireflys I have. I cant believe it has Alnicos! These ones read 13.6 & 9.4k. Cheers
Thanks so much for watching and commenting traileater!! Congrats on yours! The binding is unique..not sure if it’s actually painted. Seems more like they stopped the finish at the binding point, and either stained the binding portion? Hard to tell, but it is a good job! Truly appreciate your stopping in to the channel and sharing your thoughts! 👍🎸
@@traileater Thanks…Inyen Vina Guitars have stated in a number of forums that they use alnico magnets in ALL of their Destiny Wound CNC pickups which are not farmed out, but manufactured in their own plant as well.
Another excellent review. Much appreciated. The guitar looks so much better in your video than on the Amazon website. I saw this a week or so ago, and really had to discipline myself to not click the "Buy Now" button.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Mad Benjamin! Glad you enjoyed it! Guitar is much more handsome in person for sure! Fit and finish on mine is nearly flawless! I have been resisting the “buy now” button for over a year…finally gave in and glad I did! Truly appreciate your stopping in to the channel, and thanks again! 👍🎸
@@JimmyStewart1 I admit it - I have a weakness for really handsome guitars. I had to order one after all. Your review was too compelling to let this one get away.

Hi Lawrence…thanks so much for watching and commenting! Congrats on your new IYV IP-350 TBK! If you already have the green finish version, then you already know you made another good decision on picking this beauty up! The picture on Amazon really does not do it justice, and you should really enjoy this trans black version as well! Saw this a couple of days ago when I got mine, absolutely fabulous, my first IYV, has stayed very in tune right out of the box, the unplugged sound is great. I started all this with Firefly, their PRS copy went on sale yesterday at $160! Waiting with great interest to compare. Thank you for all these reviews of guitars I can actually afford, what a time to be a collector! (Hoarder? )
Hi Scott…thanks so much for watching and commenting! Congrats on your new IYV IP-350! Enjoy!! About one of the only FF models I don’t have…😎 Happy to hear you are enjoying the reviews/channel!! By the way, it’s not hoarding when it’s guitars…🤣
@@JimmyStewart1 Hi Jimmy, hope you are well. I got my FFPRS with the Rainbow top, which really looks better in person. The IYVPRS is just better all around, and has more carve on the top and a better fret board. I also got the FFLPS Rainbow, and that is all around better than the FFPR, including a full smooth transition from the neck to the body. A very pleasant surprise was that I ordered an FFLPS black, and it came as a Baritone! Fret board and action are very good, and also has the smooth transition from the neck to the back. Keep up the good work!
I just got this guitar last Sunday....and was pleasantly surprised Ok... for the price I've no complaints.....intonation didn't have to touch its sounds better than i thought it would...i did adjust p/u heights i think for shipping safety they lowered them way down...new strings after playing for 5 days and it sounds even better ! Frets are nice but as Jimmy here said they are a little gritty I just hit them with 2000 grit real quick and oiled the fret board when i changed strings all happy The finish on mine is not so good see little scratches and what seems to be a polishing compound in the cut aways and neck joint...$175..... I can live with it...wasn't expecting a Rembrandt or a PRS overall this is a great little guitar I'd buy again from IYV didn't want to bother them with the not so great finish when all else is above my expectations...thumbs up !
Hi J Gia…thanks so much for watching and commenting! Congrats on your new IP-350! I also think it’s a surprisingly good guitar that plays, looks and sounds better than the price point would have you believe. Truly appreciate your stopping in to the channel and sharing! 🎸👍
@@JimmyStewart1 Well us old timers have to keep moving the fingers otherwise the rust gets in there....no better way than a new addition...rock on P.s you got some tasty chops in there!
Great demo Jimmy. This to me is the best looking and sounding IYV yet. I don't need another guitar dual HB, but If I don't order one they'll sell out and I'll kick myself. Amazon still has them for $176, time to add one to the cart and away we go. The Monoprice 66SB will have to wait. Thank you for introducing this guitar to us.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Tim! I thought the exact same thing, so had to grab one and glad I did! The 66SB from Monoprice is also a killer guitar, but yeah…I get it!! 😎 Appreciate your stopping in and my congrats to you on your new IYV PRS..👍 Thanks again Tim, and enjoy👍🎸
Looks like another nice one, Jimmy! I'm waiting on Harley Benton to get this one's cousin back in stock. The CST-24 which is almost just like this one - but with the PRS shape (horns), and with P-90s. Same color is the one I want - the trans black flame. I actually had that (HB) guitar - but in sky blue (well was supposed to be sky blue but they screwed up the color in the batch I got). It was like it has a touch of brown in it by accident... didn't look right. Anyway - it was a KILLER guitar. I hated to trade it, but I just had too, b'c they messed the color up on that one. Anyway - I'll be picking the same axe up - but in the trans black flame. Should solve that problem! Basically the same guitar, and I think they are AWESOME I believe the Harley Bentons and IYVs are probably made in the same factory in Vietnam. Anyway - killer guitar, and cool jams, as always! You stole it at that price. Nice find.
Thanks for watching Jimmy Z….I know that IYV made a lot of the HB models in the past. Don’t know if they still do, but probably using the same plant anyway! Good luck on your CST-24. I have their XT-22…it’s a decent guitar, but did not arrive without a few issues. Thanks again for stopping in…much appreciated ! 👍🎸
@@JimmyStewart1 Thanks for the reply, Jimmy. A couple other guitars high on my wish list right now.... one from Guitar Fetish. The Earl Slick collection.... SL 55. Tele with Tron style buckers. Great review Jimmy as always! How's the intonation, you didn't mention it? It seems as though with the string through design there is not a lot of adjustment for the intonation. Thanks buddy
Thanks for stopping in…intonation seems fine, but will probably fine tune after changing strings! Adjustment easily done via the ToM style bridge like any other guitar. Once again, thanks so much for watching and commenting! Much appreciated! 👍🎸
Hi tiernanfoss…thanks so much for watching and commenting! Glad to hear you are enjoying your IP-350, and that you enjoyed the video! Truly appreciate your stopping in to the channel and sharing your thoughts as well! Much appreciated and keep pickin’ 👍🎸
IYV makes some of the better “budget” guitars out there IMHO….you really do get a lot of guitar for the $$. Beginner guitar? Sure…like any guitar bought online you MAY have to adjust or setup the guitar, change strings…you MAY find some small finish imperfections or not…I think it would make a fine guitar for a beginner and mine is holding up just fine…just like the day I took it out of the box!
@@TheBat_01 My pleasure…it easily compares/exceeds in fit/finish to the Affinity series of guitars or mid-tier Epiphone’s. This model is a PRS style clone, and very well done. The pickups are some of the best from any “budget” stock set. I think you would be pleasantly “surprised”.
Well pardner, I'm glad I gave Dan the day off Wednesday for his birthday, or I would have released the review of this same guitar two days ago. Lol I think you have spies watching me!

SPEAK OF THE DEVIL!!!!!!!!! I don’t know why, but I somehow had a feeling you’d end up getting this one, too! I literally just ordered the black and the green one myself today, just a few minutes before seeing this video pop up in my feed! The green one was only in stock today for about 10 minutes or so before disappearing again. I’ve really been wanting a green guitar, but I’ve heard from other TH-cam reviews of these models that the green one isn’t as consistent, so I’m planning to evaluate both colors and only keep the best one. Overall, it sounds like this model is slightly heavier than the semi-hollow version (which one would expect of a solid body), but in your video at least, it sounds like it has slightly more punchiness and articulation than the semi-hollow version, while the semi-hollow sounds a bit more airy. Would you say that’s about right? Those Destiny CNC pickups also really do seem to have a clarity that is sometimes lacking in some PAF-style pickups.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I resisted the PRS style models long enough…glad I picked up both. I saw the green version briefly myself…just got this delivered yesterday, so no way was I going to hit the “buy” button that soon…😎 I think your plan is solid…I do have to say, mine arrived pretty much flawless. The strings need replacement (as most do) and a quick cleaning/polishing of the fretboard and it’s good to go! Surprisingly, the pickups sound very, VERY good in my opinion. Yes, more “airy” in the semi-hollow and more “punchy” in this solid body. I will be doing a comparison video in the future of them both. Truly appreciate your stopping in and sharing your thoughts! 👍🎸
@@JimmyStewart1 Haha!!!!! The PRS-style really does grow on you after a while, doesn’t it?!? These clones probably don’t have nearly the fit and finish of a real PRS, and of course, they lack the BIRDS on the fretboard, but they’re darned good for the price! I really like the PRS design language-it seems like a perfect blend of Fender and Gibson, with a perfect sort of elegance and understatement that’s different, but somehow not too flashy either, and they REALLY play well compared to some others out there.
@@zuperdee Well, that’s honestly why I hesitated for so long. I played a number of real PRS models a few years ago, as I was looking to buy one. I just couldn’t find one I liked enough to cough up the price they were asking. I think these two IYV’s play just as nice as what I remember the PRS models playing like. Inyen Vina did a very good job on these, as they do with the majority of their guitars! 👍🎸
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Henry! Congrats on yours and glad to hear you are enjoying it. Truly appreciate your stopping in to the channel and sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated! 👍🎸
Jimmy - You do such a wonderful job helping future budget guitar buyers. Which guitar do you like better: The IYV ILS-300 (Les Paul) or the IYV IP-350? and why? I think they have the same humbuckers. Thank you - M
Hi Michael…thanks so much!! I have some personal preferences of course, but it’s hard to pick a “single” guitar over another. I am a fan of “offsets” however neither of the two guitars you asked about are offsets..😎. Between the two you mention, the IP-350 or the ILS-300 I think overall playability goes to the ILS- 300. I think it has more to do with scale than anything else. I like the light weight of the 350, but that is also an asset with the ILS-300 as it it one of the lighter LP styles that I own as well. Both very good guitars….🎸👍
@@michaelp8856 My pleasure…you can’t really go wrong with either choice. I do think however, the humbuckers tend to sound “tighter” in the LP…I prefer P90’s but that’s a personal preference.
Jimmy - Thanks for your help. I picked up the ILS-300 yesterday from a guy on Facebook who bought a bunch of these at an auction site. Brand new out of the box for $110. It's got good bones. Happy & Blessed New Year! @@JimmyStewart1
Howdy, Jimmy. Love your stuff on the Tube. Which one do you like better, the solid LYV 350 TBK or the semi-hollow 300 TSB? I know you had some setup problems with the latter, but how would you compare the two guitars now that they're both straightened out and playing. I lean towards the lighter one simply because I'm older, and I am intrigued by that wrap-around bridge. Thanks, Friend. Keep buying those guitars and shooting out the reviews.
Hey there Capt Rebel! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Strange, by sheer coincidence you caught me this evening as I was working on a video answering some of your questions (and more) on these two PRS style guitars from Inyen Vina. Yes, the setup on the IPF-300 TSB was nearly nonexistent, but I got it where it needed to be. The setup on the IP-350 TBK was on the other hand, nearly flawless! Both still need string changes, fretboard conditioning and final tweaking. Which one do I like better?? Tough question…both look/sound/play great…the video I am working on should be out by Friday…hope to see you around the channel more and I truly do appreciate your stopping in and sharing your thoughts! 👍🎸

Hey Jimmy, hope you are well. Did you feel that the tuning machines would need to be changed? I just ordered one of these guitars after watching numerous videos on them; so for $147 what the heck.
Hey Jimmy I got my IYV this afternoon. Wow am I impressed! This guitar is great! Right out of the box; no fret sprout, shiny frets, it’s amazing for $147. Plugged it into my Fender Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb it sounds real good clean and overdriven too. This guitar is better than my Squier Contemporary Jaguar; oh yeah! Easily a $600 guitar! Score!
Hi Ed…thanks for stopping in. No, I do not own the HB CST-24 so I have not personally compared the two. I do know that Thomann has in the past, had a number of their models made by IYV in Vietnam. I think they may have moved the production of these models to Indonesia recently as the are now offering this in the T version which supposedly has stainless frets. You will certainly pay a bit more for it however, as the guitar is around $259 plus another $70 to ship. The IYV comes with their in-house built “CNC Destiny Wound” pups, while the HB uses their “Roswell” brand of pickups. I actually like the IYV pups better (Alnico) over the Roswell, though HB tends to add coil splitting to theirs if that is important to you. Not a fan of coil splitting as it tends to sound a bit anemic to me splitting a humbucker…just get a nice single coil..😎. Other than that, I think they are probably quite close to each other, though more finish options are available through Thomann. Hope that helps…🎸👍
I've been considering this guitar, looks great, I love,24 frets which I don't have now. Nor do I have solid body with 2 HB pickups. Have 335 style Oscar Schmidt, Indio has strat which is ok but needed lots of setup work. Recently got the IYV p90 semi hollow tele style which I'm impressed with, only needs minor setup and will probably get locking tuners for but pickups sound very good. This is my 1st p90 guitar. I've watched a lot of your videos and like your demos that are honest and detailed. I'm playing through a Spark 40. I see you have one. Why don't you use it more? Did you demo it? Good work Jimmy! You gave me courage to try online guitars along with tutorials on guitar setup to experiment with low price guitars

Hey Jimmy how much does this guitar weigh? I'm torn between the simi hollow version and this beauty, old guy back problems,I could handle 7-8 lbs anything over that is out.
@@2dazetake Was just going to say, I “thought” I weighed it and showed the weight in the video…🤣 Anyway…you got the answer…quite comfortable weight for this “old guy” as well…congrats and enjoy it 2Daze!! 🎸👍
Hey Jimmy I have a question do the pickups split I mean like coil tap like the PRS guitars do with the push-pull button I want one but how could I make it split or does it come like that
Hi jah…thanks for watching and commenting! These pickups in the IYV are not coil splitting. You could swap them out for 4-wire humbuckers and add the push/pull pots if so desired. I have not checked the stock pups to see if they are 4 wire or not. Either way, could be done fairly easily! Appreciate your stopping in to the channel! 🎸👍
I'm leaning towards the semi-hollow to complement my D'Angelico DC w/p90s, is there a reason why I should get this solid body instead? I'm a home hobbyist so stage volume feedback isn't a problem. Does this one have something the semi does not?
For me I got both.. and the action is able to get alot lower on the solid body. Also the inlays take away from the comfortable feel of the fretboard on the semi hollow. Alltho the semi hollow plays decent unplugged if u care for that
@@Cr8z13 Both are good guitars! I would agree with Aden and get both! The semi- hollow has a bit more “airy” sound to it while the solid body a bit more percussive. I don’t find issues with the neck inlay on the semi. It’s certainly lighter..the setup on each was like night and day, however after some work, I got the semi hollow corrected. Hope that helps a bit.. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 👍🎸
Ordered the hollow body, what a wreck! I think AMAZON sent me a return that some yahoo tried to lower the bridge with a small blade screwdriver and hacked up the heads to the point they might cut you. One side was stuck and wouldn't turn, don't know what they did, and they rsmed in the small allen locking screw. There was a noticeable ding on the binding. Sent it back to AMAZON. Think I am going to order a like model from All In One Guitars, about $220 more, but AIO does a professional set up how YOU want it and string it with the strings you want!!!! And AIO will email you and ask.
Hi lost sailor….not sure about a Stat case for the 350…never tried it! To be safe, I would take the guitar down to your local music shop or GC etc and see what case gives you the best fit if you are considering a hard shell case. My budget guitars pretty much “rotate” on racks for “use” and racks for “use later” and go into padded gig bags. Some have stated the Glarry Strat case has fit, but I can not personally confirm that.
Thanks so much for stopping in….Yes, I actually do! Though PRS style guitars are not my “favorite” (could be the 25” scale) this does feel and play great.
Hi John…thanks for stopping in and commenting. The top of this model is indeed a maple “cap”. I can also attest that my guitar looks different than others I have seen pics of, so all the tops are different in their “flame”. If it was a photo top, they would be identical. Direct from Inyen Vina the specs state: Top Material: Maple Cap with AAAA Flame Veneer Appreciate your stopping in to the channel! 👍🎸
@@thehonestguitarist6543 Yes…I have been grabbing them for quite some time now. I have a number of them at this point…a lot of guitar for the money and more than what the price points would have you believe. Also some of the better “stock” pickups for a budget brand. They use their own in house pickups, where as the builds they did for Thomann (Harley Benton) they used HB’s in house “Roswell” pickups. I have a couple HB’s as well made by IYV and much prefer the CNC Destiny pickups. More consistent …
Hi Chris…yes I have played a number of them but could never pull the trigger on one as I found the price to be too high for what was offered. Obviously, fit and finish on the true PRS was higher quality, but for playability these IYV’s are tough to beat for the price point.
I enjoy your reviews but I have to say that you are either extremely lucky or you are receiving hand picked guitars. I purchased a IYV ITF-400 mostly out of curiosity. It was the worst guitar that I ever purchased, I currently own over 30 guitars. I have never seen a guitar that was this bad. The workmanship was absolutely TERRIBLE! There were so many things that were wrong with it that it should not have been sold even as a second. Example, there were gaps in both sides of the neck pocket between the neck and the body. I removed the neck and there were 7 separate holes drilled into the neck, one single hole and three others that were overlapping. The pickup routes were crooked and quite a bit larger than pickups. The bit that was used in the CNC machine must have been very dull as there were numerous places where the veneer was chipped along the neck pocket and pickup routes. The nut was the worst that I have ever seen. The low e string cut was at least 40 percent wider than the string itself and all were cut very deep. These are just some of the issues. There were many more. I have pictures of many of these flaws and was planning on doing a review on Amazon, where I purchased it, but before I got to it the guitar was removed from Amazon. Needless to say it was returned. Worst guitar EVER!!! I will never purchase another IYV.
Thanks so much for stopping in Shooter44…sorry to hear of the issues you had with your ITF-400. I have bought my IYV guitars just like everyone else from Amazon. I can pretty much assure you that no one at the Amazon warehouse is picking through boxes of guitars to be sure the one they send to me is perfect…😎 Guess I have (and many, many others as well) been lucky! Out of the 7 or 8 IYV guitars I have bought, some came with some finish flaws, dry fretboards, setup issues, ect but nothing requiring me to send it back. Just about any guitar you buy online is going to require a setup, so no big deal there, but what you described would certainly warrant sending it back in my book! Any manufacturer can have a “bad apple” of two in any given batch of guitars! Happens with the expensive and mid-tier manufacturers as well! Again, sorry to hear you ended up receiving a bad one, but honestly the vast majority of the IYV’s received are quite good and tend to be very consistent in build. Appreciate your stopping in and sharing your thoughts. Just about everyone that has purchased the ITF-400 really enjoys it.
@@JimmyStewart1 I agree that there can be issues with many manufacturers. I returned a beautiful Les Paul Studio earlier this year that had a couple of issues. I don't expect perfection from a sub $200 guitar. I have a number of low priced guitars and they are good but far from perfect but the IYV ITF-400 was so flawed it amazed me, it should have been rejected at the factory. If I could I would share some of the pictures with you. There was just too many unfixable flaws. Thanks for the reply. I do enjoy watching your post's.
Thanks Shooter44…sometimes it just slips by and gets boxed up at the factory. Then no one sees it again until it arrives at the purchaser’s destination. Once again, I do appreciate your stopping in to the channel and sharing! 👍🎸

Excellent!!

@@JimmyStewart1 No problem, keep up the good work. Btw, how do you know these are alnico pickups? I cant find specs like that anywhere?

I just got this guitar last Sunday....and was pleasantly surprised
Ok... for the price I've no complaints.....intonation didn't have to touch its sounds better than i thought it would...i did adjust p/u heights i think for shipping safety they lowered them way down...new strings after playing for 5 days and it sounds even better ! Frets are nice but as Jimmy here said they are a little gritty I just hit them with 2000 grit real quick and oiled the fret board when i changed strings all happy
The finish on mine is not so good see little scratches and what seems to be a polishing compound in the cut aways and neck joint...$175..... I can live with it...wasn't expecting a Rembrandt or a PRS overall this is a great little guitar I'd buy again from IYV didn't want to bother them with the not so great finish when all else is above my expectations...thumbs up !

Do you recommend as a beginner guitar? Does it hold up well?
IYV makes some of the better “budget” guitars out there IMHO….you really do get a lot of guitar for the $$. Beginner guitar? Sure…like any guitar bought online you MAY have to adjust or setup the guitar, change strings…you MAY find some small finish imperfections or not…I think it would make a fine guitar for a beginner and mine is holding up just fine…just like the day I took it out of the box!
@@JimmyStewart1 tysm, would you able to tell how it compares to guitars like Squier bullet to affinity series, or Epiphone Lp special I-II?

I saw the green version briefly myself…just got this delivered yesterday, so no way was I going to hit the “buy” button that soon…😎
I think your plan is solid…I do have to say, mine arrived pretty much flawless.
@@zuperdee
Well, that’s honestly why I hesitated for so long. I played a number of real PRS models a few years ago, as I was looking to buy one. I just couldn’t find one I liked enough to cough up the price they were asking. I think these two IYV’s play just as nice as what I remember the PRS models playing like.

Jimmy have you had a chance to compare this guitar with the Harley Benton CST 24?
Alltho the semi hollow plays decent unplugged if u care for that
Another thing to mention is the solid body bridge is fully adjustable intonation and the semi hollow had a tunomatic with compensated g and b strings.
@@bluesguy Very helpful, thanks.
@@Cr8z13
Both are good guitars!

Does this fit in a Strat case?
Hi lost sailor….not sure about a Stat case for the 350…never tried it! To be safe, I would take the guitar down to your local music shop or GC etc and see what case gives you the best fit if you are considering a hard shell case. My budget guitars pretty much “rotate” on racks for “use” and racks for “use later” and go into padded gig bags. Some have stated the Glarry Strat case has fit, but I can not personally confirm that.
Do you still like IYV IP 350?
Thanks so much for stopping in….Yes, I actually do! Though PRS style guitars are not my “favorite” (could be the 25” scale) this does feel and play great.
i think the grain wood pattern on face of guitar is photo print,,,,,,,
Hi John…thanks for stopping in and commenting. The top of this model is indeed a maple “cap”. I can also attest that my guitar looks different than others I have seen pics of, so all the tops are different in their “flame”. If it was a photo top, they would be identical. Appreciate your stopping in to the channel! 👍🎸
Looks like a Harley Benton to me. CST-24. Vietnam
Thanks for watching and commenting! Good eye…the HB was also made by IYV…and yes, Vietnam. Appreciate your stopping into the channel! 🎸👍
@@JimmyStewart1 my pleasure, Mr Stewart and I thought you were one of our finest actors. Now I know you're multitalented!😁
🤣
I will say hi to “Mary” for you….😎
@@JimmyStewart1 Good one, Jimmy. I've been looking At IYV guitars online. In particular, Fender and Gibson- styled ones. Interesting and affordable.

Yes…I have been grabbing them for quite some time now.
Have you ever played a real PRS guitar? How does this compare?
I can pretty much assure you that no one at the Amazon warehouse is picking through boxes of guitars to be sure the one they send to me is perfect…😎
Guess I have (and many, many others as well) been lucky!
Sounds like you got a trainee guitar that never should have left the building

Anything is possible I suppose. Agree that it should NOT have left the plant. Thanks for stopping in and sharing your thoughts! 👍🎸
