New to the channel - love the gear and loving these "acoustasonics". Apparently, there is a trans red that I am loving the idea of for that offset style. But I am thinking and wondering to if a "lipstick" style pickup wired into the sound hole would give this another range of tones that this model can highlight in its arsenal. Thoughts?
Thanks for watching and commenting Tom! These Acoustasonic’s are nice! Well balanced tone’s between the piezo and the different pups installed in each. More twangy tones via the Tele and more rounded mids via the Jaguar. You could always mod any of them to your liking, switch out pickups, change caps and pots, even install a “lipstick” as you indicate. I think stock, they are pretty darn good! Both of these affordable acoustasonics are a great value. I do prefer the Jag style not solely on looks, but the piezo and humbucker give the player a lot of tone opportunities. Excellent shootout, Jimmy, and some snazzy (giving away my age) playing!
Thanks so much Cal B….the piezo and humbucker combo of the Jag certainly works well, plus I am a sucker for offsets…😎 Really appreciate your stopping in…thanks ever so much for the support to the channel! 👍🎸
Hi Matt…thanks so much for watching and commenting! The IGJAP is a matte finish body and neck. No heavy gloss! You can see the full review of this guitar here on the channel. th-cam.com/video/uWOEj0Gfvt0/w-d-xo.html Thanks again for stopping in! 🎸👍
Thanks for stopping in Chris…25.5 standard Tele scale on the ITAP…I can’t remember on the IJGAP…take a look at my full reviews of each here on the channel. I go through all the specs…👍🎸
Hey Jimmy, you discovered the best Amp for your videos. Yes, the p.a. Amp represents the real soud of a guitar without the 'everyone is different' guitar Amp sounds. Note separation is truer and the overall conclusion of mine would be to use this with your current equipment for videos. Now we can hear the instruments sounds as they really are in MHO. ?? Thanks!
Hey John! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I will normally use my PA for my acoustics and for back tracks when used in my videos. Truly appreciate your stopping in to the channel and sharing your thoughts! 🎸👍
Great video Jimmy. I think I made the right choice of the guitar that sounds more like an acoustic. The Jag is on the way. I can’t wait to hear it thru my little Ashdown Radiator amp.
That’s excellent montiac22..I think you are really going to enjoy it! Congrats and enjoy once you receive it! Be sure to update us once you get it as to what you think. Have fun, and congrats once again! 👍🎸👍
Thanks for watching and commenting EK2…as I state in the review video for the IJGAP, as far as I know, the only difference is the finish. I obviously don’t have the 200 to compare, but believe that to be true. You could email Inyen Vina Guitars via Reverb store front and ask them direct to be sure. Thanks so much for stopping in to the channel! 👍🎸
Yes they do…😎 I did find out that the IGJAP-200 also has the standard “flat” sound hole cutout as well…it does not have the “conical” sound hole like the IGJAP-300 does!
The tele is definitely brighter sounding , but i think the jag has an all around much fuller sound.Way more of an acoustic sound also IMO! Nice comparison demo Jimmy....👍✌
Hey Mike G…thanks so much for watching and commenting. The Tele has the twang and the Jag has the grunt…😎 A great combo of guitars…I can easily EQ the Tele for a fuller acoustic sound, but wanted to demo them without changing anything so you could hear the difference between the two…truly appreciate your stopping in and sharing with us!! 👍🎸
The IJGAP-200 is a stock sunburst. Different than the IJGAP-300. The 300 shown here has the “coned” sound hole, while the 200 sound hold is flat, and a sunburst finish. You can however, contact Inyen Vina and order a custom finish from them if you wish! 🎸👍
I love that IJGAP-300. I was intrigued by Fender’s Acoustisonic Strat and Tele but they seemed so big and awkward. IYV’s seem a bit smaller and more manageable. Love the sound of the IJGAP.
Hi Kim! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! The Jag is pretty sweet, yes! Not sure how they compare in size to the Fender, but would think it pretty close. It’s quite light as well, which makes it very manageable while playing. Appreciate your stopping in, always nice to see you here! 👍🎸
@@larrybeckham6652 So I just did a search myself, and it came up blank for me as well. Strange, as they did show some in stock a number of days ago when I checked…I guess they are currently sold out?
I didn't notice the first time I watched this vid you use a16 bar arrangement instead of 12. I like using them too, it just throws the other jam players
Just jammin’ throughout this video Troy…what part are you referring to? I use a “groove” in my head, and usually don’t consciously think of the number of bars when playing on my own…😎
@@JimmyStewart1 about in the middle of the jam, you were using a 1,4,5 pattern and stayed a full 8 beats in the 5, and 4, instead of the half bars most people use. It wouldn't bother me to watch it again if you would like the time
@@troythompson1621 It’s not that important to me, but if you would like to let me know, it would be of interest to me. Have not watched this since I uploaded it…😎
@@troythompson1621 Oh yeah…gotcha now…I actually do this quite often now that you mention it. Didn’t quite realize what you were referring to until I listened back to it. Not your standard 12 bar blues…😎. Good ears Troy….🙏👍

Oh no!!!! I see that IYV just posted a Mosrite clone (ISMR-200) and an “Acoustasonic” Les Paul-type guitar (ILAP-300) on their EBay page! I wonder which one Jimmy Stewart will choose to review next… That ILAP really looks absolutely GORGEOUS in their photos!!!!! It’s also interesting to see IYV cloning some of the more esoteric/boutique brands like Mosrite and Rickenbacker, though I wonder how well they’ll sell… Okay, so I can possibly picture the IRK model being used by some of the many Beatles impersonators and tribute bands out there, but it’s hard for me to imagine who would use a Mosrite clone, unless there are a bunch of Ventures tribute bands out there that I’m unaware of!
They are coming up with a LOT of new models. I was hoping they made the “Mosrite” style as a short scale with roller bridge (my suggestion) but….it still looks interesting. They are also changing the headstocks on their “Fender style” guitar models including the Mustang, and both thinline Tele styles. These will be the same as previous versions except for the headstock redesign and a different model number.
@@JimmyStewart1 You might be in luck-it COULD very well be a roller bridge! It’s difficult to tell from the photos, of course, but it doesn’t look like a standard ToM-style bridge either, so there may yet be hope!!!! It does look like they’re using P90-type pickups and a generic clone Bigsby-type vibrato in place of the original Mosrite design though. My guess is that it’s almost certainly a lot cheaper for them to use generic off-the-shelf parts than to design and manufacture entirely new ones specifically just for that one model. I still like that gorgeous-looking Acoustasonic LP-style one! What a shame they had to redesign the headstocks, though I do totally understand why. Hopefully it will at least be attractive like the Monoprice Indio headstocks!
@@zuperdee Either way, as the bridge is a pretty simple replacement, but better to have it come stock with a roller. Fender is giving them grief, so changes in headstock design is coming. They look similar to what Monoprice did, with a bit of a hook. Same issues with the Acoustasonic style Tele and Jag models, so body shapes are changing. They are also changing the model numbers. I am also hearing that the spalted maple tops on the ITF-300 could be changing to ash tops as the spalted maple tops are depleted.
ThE IJGAP-300 Jag Style Sounds fuller, but just sounds like any other normal acoustic guitar which I already have many of. The ITAP-200 Tele Style Sounds brighter and looks cooler. If you want a more fuller tone from the Tele Style guitar just play or strum it above the sound hole near the highest frets. The ITAP-200 Tele for me is much more versatile, quite unique looking, smaller in size with binding & sounds great. Both of them can be adjusted to ensure closer volume differences between both pickups from under the control back plate with the blue potentiometers. They only control the bridge saddle hidden piezo for bass, treble and volume. (9V Battery required)
Hi Joe…thanks so much for watching and commenting. I like them both of course, and both have their unique sound in my opinion. Yes, both can be adjusted for balance of volume and I did a video on that as well. Strings also make a big difference on both….truly appreciate your stopping into the channel and sharing your thoughts. Much thanks…🎸👍
I really like the tonal possibilities' of the itap but I fear when I pulled out of the drive in theater the whole thing would get ripped off of its power station, That grill over the sound hole is Bu** ugly. would it be sacrilege to saw off the grill.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Bob…I agree with you that you can’t go wrong with either 😎 Appreciate your stopping in and sharing your thoughts! 👍🎸
i like the sound of the IJGAP better than the ITAP. The IJGAP is such a cool looking guitar. I don't hear much difference between the ITAP and a Semi Acoustic Tele. I have two Semi Acoustic Tele's. I feel like I would just be getting another one getting the ITAP.
Hi Bill…Yes, both are pretty unique in their voicing but if you already have a semi-hollow Tele then the IJGAP would be the way to go. I enjoy them both…thanks so much for stopping in…greatly appreciated! 🎸👍
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Rutiger. I would contact Inyen Vina via the email on their Ebay storefront and ask about shipping to Canada. I know they have shipped some items direct from Vietnam before. Appreciate it stopping in to the channel!
Agree…they are not Fender Acoustasonic’s. The Fender’s are nice no doubt, but overly expensive for what they are. IYV did a good job on these and kept the price down to where the average player could afford one if they were looking for a “no frills” good playing/sounding acoustic/electric. That of course is just my opinion and apparently, different from yours. It’s all good…thanks for stopping in.
@@JimmyStewart1 I don’t think the Fenders are expensive at all. You absolutely get what you pay for! The issue I have with these is that they are just a blatant rip off of fenders design!
@@officialWWM Well, I guess I will just have to agree to disagree with you on this. If you want to spend over $1k on what I consider a “niche” type of guitar with Fender on the headstock, by all means, enjoy!! As far as “getting what you pay for” again…highly debatable in today’s guitar manufacturing market. You are paying for the name, advertising and promotion, distribution and middle men, dealers and huge markups associated with all those. Guitar manufacturers have been “ripping off”guitar design since the 1st dreadnought acoustics started rolling out from Martin in the 1800’s…How many guitar manufacturers make a Tele style guitar? A Les Paul style? Not saying Fender, Gibson, Martin don’t make good instruments… I own a number of each. Just giving alternatives geared to the more “budget” minded player out there that’s looking for a affordable alternative.
Great review Jimmy! You heavily influenced my decision to order the 300 yesterday. Don't feed the trolls by the way. A Fender owner will always try to defend spending two to nearly ten times as much for the Fender headstock and logo. No, the IYV isn't a REAL Acoustisonic, but those of us who are buying them and happy with them appreciate that they are an affordable alternative that gives us what we want at a very reasonable price.
Love the “shootouts”, all of ‘em! They’re really informative and FUN! Keep ‘em comin’! Thanks 🙂

Glad you enjoyed the review/demo on the IYV acoustasonics. Have a look around the channel as you get a chance, and hopefully you will find other videos that you will enjoy!
Truly appreciate your stopping in and look forward to seeing you around the channel! Much thanks…and welcome aboard! 🙏👍
Can u buy these guitars currently? I cannot find them, even on reverb?
As I state in the new update “Changes” video released yesterday, they have pulled down there Reverb store. You may still be able to find them on EBay at least for right now. Thanks for watching and commenting…please watch them”IYV Changes” video I posted yesterday 6-4-2022 for the latest news.
Thanks so much for stopping in to the channel…much appreciated! 👍🎸
Where can I buy the IYV IJGAP-300 and how much does it cost ?
Hi Bill…thanks for watching and commenting. You can get the IJGAP directly from Inyen Vina Guitars. Look on their EBay storefront. From there you can contact them directly. They ship FedEx International and shipping is very quick. If you are in the US than pricing will be right around $300 with shipping. Tell them Jimmy sent ya!! 👍. Thanks so much for stopping in to the channel and enjoy your IJGAP should you decide to order one! 🎸👍
Both of these affordable acoustasonics are a great value. I do prefer the Jag style not solely on looks, but the piezo and humbucker give the player a lot of tone opportunities. Excellent shootout, Jimmy, and some snazzy (giving away my age) playing!
Thanks so much Cal B….the piezo and humbucker combo of the Jag certainly works well, plus I am a sucker for offsets…😎
Really appreciate your stopping in…thanks ever so much for the support to the channel! 👍🎸
Does this guitar have any gloss on the neck? Or more natural matte finish?
The Jazz copy is the one I’m questioning
Hi Matt…thanks so much for watching and commenting! The IGJAP is a matte finish body and neck. No heavy gloss!
You can see the full review of this guitar here on the channel.

Thanks again for stopping in! 🎸👍
Do these have the respective traditional Jag and Tele scale lengths?
Thanks for stopping in Chris…25.5 standard Tele scale on the ITAP…I can’t remember on the IJGAP…take a look at my full reviews of each here on the channel. I go through all the specs…👍🎸
So yeah, the scale is also 25.5 on the IJGAP-300 as well, so NOT a “true Jaguar” 24” scale like a solid body Jag…
@@JimmyStewart1 so more like a Jazzmaster I guess.
Yes, indeed! Same body shapes anyway. It’s a very comfortable and nice sounding guitar!
Hey Jimmy, would you happen to know what the difference is between the ijgap 200 and the ijgap 300 other than the color?
Thanks for watching and commenting EK2…as I state in the review video for the IJGAP, as far as I know, the only difference is the finish. I obviously don’t have the 200 to compare, but believe that to be true. You could email Inyen Vina Guitars via Reverb store front and ask them direct to be sure. Thanks so much for stopping in to the channel! 👍🎸
@@JimmyStewart1 thanks for your response. I wish they would name their guitars with simple names. 🙂
@@ek2thehands
They are not the only ones…seems every brand has a infinity for adding more numbers and letters and name designations….😎
Yes they do…😎
I did find out that the IGJAP-200 also has the standard “flat” sound hole cutout as well…it does not have the “conical” sound hole like the IGJAP-300 does!
The tele is definitely brighter sounding , but i think the jag has an all around much fuller sound.Way more of an acoustic sound also IMO! Nice comparison demo Jimmy....👍✌
Hey Mike G…thanks so much for watching and commenting. The Tele has the twang and the Jag has the grunt…😎
A great combo of guitars…I can easily EQ the Tele for a fuller acoustic sound, but wanted to demo them without changing anything so you could hear the difference between the two…truly appreciate your stopping in and sharing with us!! 👍🎸
@@JimmyStewart1 That's a perfect way to describe the differences! Have a good night....

👍🙏🎸
I hear they have the IVY IJGAP-200 in Sun Burst Colors.
Big and awkward? They are the same size as an electric Strat or Tele! 😂
@@officialWWM now that I’ve seen them in real life I agree with you. I now own an Acoustasonic strat! Love it!
I like the jaguar style better than the telecaster. The jag sounds fuller than the tele

So I just did a search myself, and it came up blank for me as well.
It wouldn't bother me to watch it again if you would like the time
@@troythompson1621
It’s not that important to me, but if you would like to let me know, it would be of interest to me. Have not watched this since I uploaded it…😎
@@JimmyStewart1at 19 minutes with the Tele. Most people won't give a flip, but it's something I like to do and thought it was cool to hear.
@@troythompson1621
Oh yeah…gotcha now…I actually do this quite often now that you mention it. Didn’t quite realize what you were referring to until I listened back to it. Not your standard 12 bar blues…😎. Good ears Troy….🙏👍
Awesome video. I liked the crispness of the Tele style better
Thanks so much for watching and commenting MichaelRosa Watkins…so glad you enjoyed! Both are wonderful, but yes the Tele has a ton of sparkle!!
Truly appreciate your stopping in to the channel and hope to see you here more! 👍🎸
@@zuperdee
Either way, as the bridge is a pretty simple replacement, but better to have it come stock with a roller.
Great content cheif!
Hey…thanks so much Victor! Really appreciate your stopping in to the channel! 👍🎸
I really like the tonal possibilities' of the itap but I fear when I pulled out of the drive in theater the whole thing would get ripped off of its power station, That grill over the sound hole is Bu** ugly. would it be sacrilege to saw off the grill.
If you bought one, you could do whatever you want with it!!
Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍🎸
I like the sound and the color of the Jag, but prefer Tele style guitars over The Jag. Can’t go wrong with either.
Bob
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Bob…I agree with you that you can’t go wrong with either 😎

i like the sound of the IJGAP better than the ITAP.
They're both nice guitars for sure but it's the IJGAP 300 that I must have. But I'm Canada so forget it.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Rutiger. I would contact Inyen Vina via the email on their Ebay storefront and ask about shipping to Canada. I know they have shipped some items direct from Vietnam before.

Those are NOT Acoustasonics!
@@officialWWM
Well, I guess I will just have to agree to disagree with you on this.
