The Brabus by performance comparison should be in the sub 9 second bracket quarter mile. Similar to a Ferrari SF90. Now can we have a test comparing Brabus with their normal counterparts and their competitors to get a true feel of the performance that Brabus offers
I was just about to comment this. I’ve definitely seen the turbo s do its best time of 10.1 on carwow as well. Although I think it was only one time, the rest of the times are 10.2 or 10.3 which is still impressive. But the brabus having a lot more power I was expecting 9s as well

Slow 1/4 mile times on carwow should not be a big surprise at this point, all their times are easily a half second slower than a perfect run on prepped drag surface.
Me: My Dacia city car has 1000NM of torque. Bloke down pub: No way, so why is it still the slowest car in town? Me: It's been limited to 70NM to protect the engine and gearbox.

Carwow really needs to check their cone positioning. If you guys remember, the Turbo S did the timing around 3 years back. Now Ig their cone positioning has changed, bcoz in the recent videos the 1/4 mile timings of all cars reduced by 0.2 seconds or even more. In the recent vids the best timing the Turbo S had was either 10.3 or 10.4 seconds. It's same with every other car, the model S and SF90 do 9.9 seconds instead of 9.6 seconds which they used to do earlier. They possibly changed the cone positioning and made it further apart which results in this. If u remember in the McLaren 750S vs McLaren 720S video, the 750S did a 10.4 or something and the 720S did a 10.6, and we clearly know that the 720S had done a 10.4 against Yianni's Aventador S Roadster. So it has do with the current cone psotions, if you compare the 1/4 timings of all recent drag races and compare them with old drag races then there's a big deviation in timing. So in accordance to that, the Porsche is shown 0.3 seconds slower as new Turbo S drag races show 10.4, so here it did 10.0 seconds means the actual timing according to the old metrics would be like 9.7 seconds. You can check if I'm wrong, cuz the last time we ever saw a Turbo S doing 10.1 was over 2.5 yrs ago, the most recent vids show 10.4 or max to max 10.3. And not just that, Carwow also removed the 1 mile rolling races, earlier we saw many races like Ferrari Roma, Aston Martin DBS and Bentley Conetinental GT drag race where the Roma was beaten by the Aston in the 1/2 mile but Roma came past by the time they reached 1 mile. So, it seriously has to do something with them. Nowadays we ain't getting all of those.
They do not measure the times based on the positioning of the cones. They have GPS units on board which measure the times. If you look at the start of the video you can see that they’re stuck on the passenger side of the car along with the cameras with suction cups. When Matt does his solo videos he actually shows you the unit he uses. Times vary when you run a car a different times because of different wind speed, air density, etc.
But it can't just reduce timings of all cars by the same margin. Like I said, it's not just the Turbo S, the SF90, the Model S Plaid, McLaren 720S and 750S, all these car's performance figures are deviated by this 0.2-0.3 seconds error. So, that's why I think it is. And their might be the timer at that place cuz in the F1cars and Moto GP bikes I don't think they can place the timing device like on normal cars. So, probably it has to do with the positioning of cones and cameras. Or, maybe their surface has become worse.
