God Oscar Issac is phenomenal in this show. This is some of the best acting in the entire MCU. Even through the very slight changes in his facial expressions and body language you can tell the very clear difference between Marc and Steven. Also I feel so freaking bad for Steven, he really just wants to live a normal life without all this supernatural stuff, be a tour guide for a museum, meet a nice girl and settle down with her. And everyone thinks Peter Parker has the worst work/life balance in Marvel.
1. Marc is likely the original personality and Steven is a alternate personality. A lot of the information we get in this episode points to marc being the original. He has a wife, they went on adventures together. Had a life together. The police pulled up the records that showed he was a mercenary. Steven calls his mom, but never gets a answer. Layla mentions Marc has a bad relationship with his mother. Which may be why Steven never gets a answer from his mother, because her and Marc are estranged. Steven has a lot of similar qualities and interest Layla has. Based off Layla reaction, Marc does not. Making it seem like Steven was kinda created to mirror her in some way. Also the god saying that Marc was just a corpse when he found him. 2. As far as if the god is good? I don’t know too much about Egyptian gods, but if I’m going off of Greek and Norse mythology. Gods aren’t always known to treat humans the best since they are higher beings. So he could be good, but just don’t treat his avatars the nicest.
I think Marc created Steven to protect Layla. But he couldn't create an entirely separate personality from nothing, so he gave Steven traits that either Marc doesn't possess (like being a vegan) or borrowed traits from people he knows (like Layla's favorite French poet). And I think he created Steven to protect Layla from Khonshu. It seems like Marc wanted to divorce her not because he didn't love her, but to separate himself from her so she wouldn't become a target due to their relationship. Creating a separate personality that is completely unaware of Layla is probably another effort to protect her.
technically, it's both. yes, they're both in the mind but reflections offer a way to visually see each other and apparently make it easier for personalities to switch.
One mistake A LOT of reactors did with this series so far is they researched the character beforehand. A lot of reaction channels start off saying “we know nothing about the character so we’re going in blind but we did research the character beforehand…” lol so they end up knowing characters like Khonshu before the reveal. No idea why some reaction channels do this. The fact you 4 know absolutely nothing is what makes the reactions even better

Thing is Marc died in front of Konshu statue while he was on a mercenary mission, Konshu brought him back to live and since then Marc has been Moon Knight, now there’s not a mirror dimension, Marc is the holder of the body, Steven is another personality bc Marc suffers of Disorder of Personality, so that’s why the change is been made, Konshu is not a good God, he’s using and manipulating Marc to do his will, in the comics Marc already defeated Konshu and kept he’s Moon Knight identity without the protection of the God.
@@Tripppyyuh i think Marvel wanted to make a way were Marc And Steven connection is shown, make it more realistic by putting he’s own self in the mirror
@@Caseytify you’re wrong, late marvel comics stated that Konshu is a bad God, he manipulates Marc in order to do he’s will, read the 2016 comics and look up to one were Marc destroyed Konshu.
The most heartbreaking part is, Steven just want a normal life and think Marc is the one who ruined his life. But, the fact is, Steven is just Marc's another personality. Marc is the real one and if Marc doesn't have DID, Steven will not exist. Feel so bad to them especially Marc
Marc Spector has dissociative identity disorder and he is the main personality, and Steven is one of the other personalites he has. This new "suit" is actually another of his personalites called Mr. Knight, who in the comics is a detective consultant on crime scenes investigations. Marc was dying while doing a mercenary job, but was saved by Khonshu, who choosed Marc to be his avatar, to be his "knight", to be the "left fist of Khonshu". I'm pretty sure we will see that later in the show.
Always think it is strange how people seemed surprised that seven won't give his body to Marc. I mean, it's very u derstandable. From his perspective, he has just found out he has someone else living in his head, got him fired, dragging him all over the world, living a whole second life for how ever long, and that person also executed and murder tons of people. Being too scared to give your body to that person, who you don't know or trust, is perfectly normal reaction. If he gives it again, he may never get it back for all he knows.
You may remember Jason Isaac from the final Star Wars sequels as Cameron Poe. Note Marc's last name: Specter. In words a ghost or spirit. I always thought of Moon Knight as Batman + mysticism. Let's see how Marvel interprets him for this series.
When Marc chose to be Khonshu's avatar the strain of having a god take over his mind drove him insane and so as a defensive mechanism his mind split into two personality's and when Khonshu realized this needless to say he got pissed off and started threatening Marc that he would take his wife instead but knowing what will happen to her mind he promised Khonshu that he would keep Stephen in line but the problem is when Khonshu uses Marc the damage and strain causes Stephen to be able to manifest while Marc is out for the count. The constant use of the avatar by Khonshu will make anyone insane Having a a god in your brain would be like a nuclear reactor always on the brink of overload.
I don't believe it is as simple as "good or bad". Khonsu has a particular sense of justice, but is also willing to use and manipulate Marc into being his weapon to achieve that justice. Ammit, similarly, has a different sense of justice. One in which she is willing to kill people before they've even committed evil acts.
Gasps and cries all round from the Homies as the plot really thickens! When Marc's wife says that Ammut has an (u)shabti that might suggest that Ammut also has an avatar somehow - since that’s basically what a shabti is for (ie. a minion doing it’s master’s will). Steven also mentions his wife’s knowledge of “uniliteral” signs - the most common type of hieroglyph; the show’s researchers are putting in some hard work !!
I'm assuming his third personality showed up in the first episode. His most violent personality type, Jake Lockley. Why I believe this? because to turn into Marc Spector, Steven needs to give up control, while being fully conscious. In the first episode, the change happened only when he was in danger. Once Steven regained control, he realized at times that he had commit murder.
Steven never see wht marc seen bcoz the body is belong to marc..he is the core personality of tht body..btw in comic all of moonknight personality is 5 different person
Pretty much every god throughout every mythology is a dick if you really think about it, even the ones we usually think of as "good" on the surface. There's a saying that "absolute power corrupts absolutely," and with gods being projections of human nature with exceptional power, that holds true for them as well. Both Khonshu and Ammit are willing to kill and manipulate for justice, the only difference is that Ammit does it before justice is required. And whether that makes her better or worse than Khonshu is a matter of perspective. But trying to recruit people to worship her is futile regardless. If she truly knows what someone will do in the future, and she can't be wrong about it, then there's no free will and whether or not someone worships her is up to fate anyway. But if she *can* be wrong about her predictions, then there's a chance the people she sends her avatar to kill wouldn't turn out evil after all, meaning she's killing innocent people and not worthy of worship. TL;DR: Either Ammit can be wrong and she's cruel and evil, or she can't be wrong and there's no free will.
You should watch other Oscar Isaac films, like Dune, Ex Machina, Sucker Punch, and the Star Wars films (Viki, you need to watch Star Wars and catch up with everyone!)
