That rainbow cake reminds me of the food they imagined in never-never land in the movie that starred Robin Williams known as Hook. One of my favorite movies of all time.
The buffet looked great and 7-11 never disappoints. Mike, if you're ever in Japan again please go check out the yatai culture in Fukuoka! It's like a night market on the sidewalks and each stall is assembled daily by the chefs and they're all individual designs with a wide variety of foods!

"West" is not limited to US or UK...so there is no "unique" western mayo. Kewpie mayo is basically the same as the industrial ones you get in France and Sweden, but sweeter. In some countries like France and Spain, it is common to make your own mayo, where the choice of oil will impact the taste.

Mayo is such a rich, calorie dense food that if I’m going to eat that many calories in a spoonful, I’d better be eating something extremely delicious.
The unnecessary color additives are freaking me out along with the decor. How about simply bake great cakes. The whole vibe could've been far more chill than their choice of palate.

Is Asian mayo the same as western mayo or is there a difference? I've seen mayo used on numerous Asian dishes and looks great
It’s a little sweeter in my opinion.
