One day I was deadlifting at my gym and some kid bumped into my knee mid lift. I yelled at him and told him to piss off. He ran to his mum and told him I was scary and she called me a dickhead. The next day I was about to bench and the same kid runs into my elbow and I almost lose my grip. I yelled at him even more and he ran off and told his mum again. She yelled back at me and said they will be leaving and never come back. Never saw them again since. Homegym masterrace!

Ah, we have a place like that around here. It’s basically the city version of a country club. There’s sports and fitness stuff there and people do use it, but it’s also a community center for certain definitions of “community.”

I guess what he's saying is that working out at the gym is motivating in the sense that people see you making progress and that gives you confidence. In return seeing other people push themselves also pushes you to work out. Basically, it causes a chain reaction of motivation.

Use to work out at Gold's Gym, bit expensive so I moved to planet fitness. The Lunk alarms and Smith machines are a down side, but I get creative to build gains there.
I'm an Asian who had a one-year Gold's Gym membership and discontinued it because I was so broke that I went to a no-name local gym instead because my university gym is reserved round the clock for the varsity teams who go there to check facebook instead of lifting.

Liberty university gym is one of the biggest and state of the arch equipment. Going at 5am you have literally everything and anything you’ll ever want or need. Indoor track field. Aerobics and yoga center and you got immense machines for cardio and endurance. Machines for muscle endurance and multiple incline and regularly bench press. Which is what I love. Even if it’s packed, you have a better chance of utilizing the equipment. Then they have many sports fields indoor and outdoor. Always expanding and updating. Then you have multiple spots for core and mobility. What blows my mind is people there treat it like a regular gym and don’t take it seriously. You have state of the arch equipment and setting, yet you just do cardio. Fine. But still can’t wrap my head around that.

The Golds Gym I went to charged: $30+ a month
The parking garage (only place you can park) charged: $8.00 just to park + $2.00 per add'l hour or you could get a month pass which was like Hundreds of Dollars.
How I beat the system: Rode motorcycle past gate, parked in handicapped space (with handicapped tags) they called 911 and I had to explain it to the cops several times. But I was always right, they can't charge for use of a handicapped space.
I go planet fitness because it is the only gym in a 20 mile radius from me :(

I actually use Equinox and the weights go up to 120 which is pretty good generally speaking. Does have a lot of perks with the "help" considering you can literally leave your clothes there overnight and they wash them but it's pricey for a reason right lol

LOL. Loved NYSC. That’s so true about Bally’s (#RIPBallys) & Planet Fitness. I was super broke when I worked out at Planet Fitness. Now I go to the gym at my job, which is similar to NYSC. Over time you learn and grow, and I find your videos helpful.
