Are you a new player who just joined a null sec corp and looking for a low-risk, low-barrier-of-entry way of making ISK? Let me show you how to be a space hobo and make decent ISK while doing it.

Note: an Automated Targeting Unit will allow you to target additional wrecks, which can mean utilizing all of your high slots for salvaging and give a bit of targeting leeway. Probably need to add a cap battery and regen then as well to keep them all functioning.
Started playing this week. Can’t wait to use my destroyer to try this! I can’t afford a MTU right now. But salvaging alone can get you cash quick! And I don’t mind flying around sometimes :)

for new player sharing his experience it's decent, however...salvaging rigs is a must since 3xT1 salvage tackle allows you to salvage T2 and commander spawns wrecks + you don't need a mwd since you are bookmarking the MTU you dropping so you land every time @0 and your are pretty much don't leave the system you are currently in. Cargohold expanders is nice to have since a MTU can have more than 1000m3 of loot inside so pick up will be multiple runs without or get an additional T1 industrial for scooping MTU + loot. Asking your corp mates whether they bookmark the sides for you is also easy enough, so you don't need to recheck the signatures. From an established newbie friendly corp in Null I'd expect to provide at least 1 of those salvage ships inclusive a MTU for free since newbies in EVE arrive without any significant wallet in Null. The value a new player provide in the long run offsets this investment.

I'm in Goons too. I was ratting listening to you and heard your jabber go off and was like "shit fleet!"
In case you guys didnt notice: the reason why the wrecks are white is cos he ran the site earlier off camera, and so they arent yellow...

Only other thing I’d recommend is the Salvage Tackle rigs, three T1 rigs means you can salvage almost anything in 1-3 cycles, and I bet the T2 rigs do it even faster
Difference between salvaging and looting. MTUs loot mods and using salvaging mod salvage components used to build other mods. You can salvage without turning suspect in high sec.....looting mods from wreckage, you will become suspect
For Hi Sec, does the MTU criminally flag you for collecting loot? Thanks in advance.

I'm using Kismeteer's overview with a little bit of modification - If you go to your neocom menu -> Social -> mail -> evemail -> mailing lists. Add KisOver to your mailing list and it'll send you the link to the overview.

@@arewhyaeensarco9068 depends on what systems you do it in - if you're part of a nullsec group, just look at dotlan and look for the systems with a lot of NPCs killed. You're bound to find salvage there.
nice guide, but the process looks super ineffective, looking at 2 big lists and tryin to figure if 1 items from a list is missing you go crazy, theres easier more efficient way of making $, id go for this only if really bored

Aren't Nullsec and new players already a crontradiction in themselves?!
Sounds like just a bait to lure newbies into nullsec to gank them on the way through lowsec.
And especially salvaging behind ratters is much safer and newbie-friendly in 0.5 to 0.7 highsec, though maybe a little bit less rentable, though new players should have difficulties anyway salvvaging capital rat wrecks with beginner ships and without a skilled out noctis!
unless I cause the wrecks all the wrecks I find are yellow and I can't get obtain anything in them.
i recomend you to rat with incursus around 80 dps you can kill easily 800k null sec npc and then you can salvage them and it wont be yellow so you can do 2 things at a same time

Everytime I go into null (I'm noob, even though I know how not to die), ppl chase me everywhere I go, same applies in low sec or wh. Sometimes I feel like ppl are so bored that they tryhard to kill everything that show up in dscan. Its actually funny.

@@DisplayDaVerdade You need to join a group broskie. Like Pandemic, goons, brave, test, etc.. Find a recruiter on recruitment. Tell em about yoself. Go out there with a deathclone and some isk stored up to buy a quick destroyer. It's cheap as hell as markets. Stop being scared to fly to one using jump-paths with a capsule lmao. You'll have an intel channel too.. Where enemies are if they're floating around. People call it out. o7 safe flying pilot.

look up "ninja salvaging" it's fun :D It's a similar process, but mostly done in hi-sec. some mission runners don't care, but others will get super annoyed, so be prepared for that. Also if you loot the wrecks, you get a suspect flag and can be killed without concord interfering
