- Why an Albanian moved to Singapore and eventually opened a hawker stall. Klevis is originally from Albania and grew up in Italy and moved to Singapore 11 years ago. Why did he move to Singapore? Klevis is the epitome of a humble and hardworking man who - quite literally - came from the streets and now runs a successful business. On top of that, he makes the highly admirable effort to assimilate himself with the local culture, and makes friends with anybody and everybody. Additionally, his sociable nature is contagious and should be emulated by others. His contributions - whether gastronomically, economically, or emotionally - is worth of extremely high praise.
I wish him nothing but the very best in his F&B career as well as in his personal life.

I've been visiting his store for over a year and known Klevis even longer than that. When I visited today, just 1 day after this video, everything was sold out at 6pm. Couldn't be happier for him.

Beauty World is a great location for him to set up store. It has great international vibes, especially Korean vibes. It doesn't feel like a typical hawker center. Hope his business does well after this episode airs. I would love to try his Mediterranean food too.

This Episode definitely brings out the wonderfully human to human relationship regardless the type of jobs, race or religion. It is also heartening to see foreigners blending into our SG culture and finding themselves part of the community. SG is a multiracial country with wonderful mix of people and it maybe the only country in the world where so many races can bond together and eventually calling the island their HOME. Good job to Ghib and hope Kelvis may one day open his own restaurant in SG

I've met really warm, down to earth Albanians working in Greece. Klavis is one good example of their people. Glad to hear that despite what he went through as a child, he is happy and doing well in Singapore 😊 i'll spread the word about his stall cos my family loves Greek food 😋👍🏼

As a "hawker" myself, i totally understand and empathise with Kelvis' working conditions and long hours as well as Tetsu-san's.
Their positive attitudes, adaptability and 100% pride in their chosen profession as "hawkers" are simply amazing. In many ways, all these are echoes of what goes on in the minds and hearts all the hawker "uncles" & "aunties" in their past and their present.

When I worked at the Bukit Timah shopping mall I was so surprised when I saw this stall and that it was being run by Europeans. Even took a photo of it to remind myself to check it out but I kept putting it off until I ultimately forgot about it. I'm still studying nearby so I'll definitely remember to go check it out soon!

He really has the Singapore DNA. I hope he gets citizenship eventually cus medical is really tough when you're old and PR. Especially if you don't have money to pay upwards of what will be 10k a year for insurance

ur story journalist skills -- asking the right questions n probing gently further to get the interesting bits out...kudos. nice editing too: showing scenes of his hawker friends in between. and also getting the interaction with him n his hawker friends. and definitely u need the kind of personality that can connect with others so that they open up with their stories n true feelings, while also creating a lighthearted rapport. nice one, ghib :)
