You know someone is true rocker when he picks up his humble acustic guitar to play sitting with a jazz trio e does something like this. Viva Zakk Wylde!!!
Dude is a great musician. Great voice too. SRV and Hendrix would be proud
i think they would just puke...
❤
@@pierrepiefr4127You obviously don't know music...
You might puke, fucking drummers!!
SRV might find it impressive that someone is somehow playing an arguably harder guitar to play than his electric setup the same way (maybe a little better in some places than him) as him
Is it just me? But, even with the effects, I have never heard and electrified acoustic guitar sound so much like a real electric. Very, Very cool!!!!!
You are in my opinion the best guitarist out there that I ever heard
Over the last 20 years that constantly is getting better at your craft to the level you are at now.
I watched you walk through the audience at an Ozzy concert in Dallas a few years back while you were absolutely mind blowing with your fret board precision and now i watch this video and just to say " Who's better than you ???
I do really appreciate what you have given all of us with
I've never heard anyone rip an acoustic like that
JoeyD.
He's got it setup like an electric. String action is right on the neck almost just like an electric. It's not sn acoustic, its an electric posing as an acoustic.
Wonder what Jimmy would say if he could see this……????
The older gentleman with the guitar looks at Zakk like "I don't understand what is happening. Where am I?" :D
the old man is Les Paul
No, he is not.
+Shmalentine youre right. its Lou Pallo.
Shmalentine never
HE was totally thinking about pushing the button on his life alert.
Man over the years I’ve heard several comments saying why Zakk can’t be top 50 Of all time with the axe but, the more you think about it. He’s in his own lane , different but daring
The communication btw the band members on the ending is great! Zakk looks to the drummer and bassist - nodding the timing for the (first) ending...then it's all instinct until the last second when Zakk looks back to the drummer again for the ending. Quick eye-contact "it's on you, bud," and the drummer slams it home. Very cool.
" you can't play an electric lead at an acoustic show on an acoustic guitar..."
Zakk W. : ' ....hold my beer."
actually, hold my beard.
Someone has been holding that beer for a very long time now😂 he hasn't had a drop for years now.
Band: So Zack, heard you were gonna use an acoustic for this song.
Zack: Well, yes but actually no.
Ha! So true to the core. Give him a Ukulele and he will work it to the extreme. Late great bassist Rocco Prestia once said "A couple of pieces of wood and some string's......"
Sheeeeiiitt,
don't you know he's got voodoo?
...child!
xD
Voodoo Ghost Chilli
That guitar probably had to smoke a cigarette after this 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 awsome comment !!!!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
hahahahahaha
😂😂, but heard guitar was morphined as well.
😂😂😂
Dandy bro That's some awfly sick guitar playing on a accoustic guitar! Badass !
The other guitarist and the bassist just keep looking at his hands to see the awesomeness in front of them. The guy is unreal.
Doubtful considering the talents they've played with and have themselves. That isn't how musicians think.
WOW man! This is insane! Zakk is on fire! Just like P&G days! Totally freakin awesome!
you know the action on that acoustic guitar is superb.
rockin roy so true, it has to be.
rockin roy ....and it's an Epiphone!
mash1551 Epiphones are like the one kid in the back of the class that never gets picked to play baseball but when he's picked he gets a grand slam every moment he gets
Maybe he even uses electric strings. But yeah, the action must be really low. It sounds pretty much like it does when he’s on electric.
@@edgyswordsmanmusic6769 they are nickel wound electric strings. and his guitar has a sg neck.
This dude is ridiculous....you just can't be taught that..... it's a gift very few get....he is so amazing
Les Paul’s Trio is so good...there’s four of them!!!
4:00 gramps be like “damn this solo is longers than my retirement”
LMAO!
He's probably played more gigs than ZakAttack so I'm pretty sure he can hang, age has nothing to do with it young man! Lol
🤣🤣🤣

Take it from another guitar playing grandpa (of 5) dude... I'd gladly offer up a (still in perfect working order) nut to be that second guitarist. You can have a long run, good time life of playing in solid bands and maybe, if you are insanely lucky, ever play in half a dozen gigs this rare and special.
Besides everything else Zakk has one of the most badass country rock voices around.
nice suprise to see Zakk Wilde playing acoustic and singing!!, amazing performance, no doubt he is a extremelly talented musician.
This dude is fuckin shreddin that acoustic to pieces.
wow.....this is proof that Zakk can make anything rock even while playing a Jimi classic on an acoustic Epiphone cutaway with a plug in....He is just that amazing and talented....
that is insane ! and the man can sing too...
I've been sleeping on Zakk Wylde all these years... What a damn fine performance this is!
Also, shoutout to the lady playing the bass for rocking out. Awesome to see \m/
I cant believe that sound is coming from an acoustic guitar. And Zakk is just a Beast.
Hell, I never thought in a million years that this could be done on an acoustic. Bad ass if you ask me.
An acoustic guitar have piezo pickups, they can process effects, such as overdrive, delay reverb and others, but the eletric still has an advantage
That was cool.... Zakk never disappoints.... that drummer was killing it too...
That guitarist is in absolute awe of Zakk.
Father Zakk gets insane on the "acoustic" :)
fantastic performance, Wylde always kills it!!! Love his guitars too they are sick!!!
I've said it before Zakk is the Jimi Hendrix of heavy metal!!!! Not many can touch this man!!! Brother Zakk is the shit!!!!
And smells like it...
@Fred Quimby different styles. He did say metal. I wouldn't put Vai in that category. But Vai is a legit bad ass!
This guy, Zack Wylde, is amazing! What an incredible piece of artistry I just witnessed.
The drummer and bassist are having a blast.
Zakk is a beast on the 6 stringer!! Very talented 👏
I wonder how much strength he has in his fingers to bend the acoustic strings
Very strong finger muscles, but its all in the wrist and ligaments. Plus light guage strings at a guess.
@@Healthliving1967 light strings isn't his style. His fingers just can bench press too
All of it.
He probably has electric strings on it, not bronze acoustic
@@SLASHMotoVlog He uses wicked light strings, 10-52 on electric tuned down a full step plus dropped D (C). That's ridiculously light. Not sure what he's using on this acoustic.
Love when the algorithm brings back something like this that I forgot about. 🤘🏻
Amazing how the brain and hand/finger dexterity can communicate so effortlessly with this guy. He must be in some flow state. What an absolute fretboard technician. I wonder what gauge strings he has on that acoustic? Geez.
Was 100 but after that, they are 9s.
wow. He is really good at playing a lot of notes.
I feel like Zakk is usually slid into that third position of the ozzy guitarists because of Tony and Randy but easily one of the best ever and i feel he doesnt get the respect he deserves, maybe not a top 10 all time but damn close
I would definitely include zakk in my top 10 .. the guy is just unreal plus he sings while playing impossible riffs .. very few could do that and still be in the conversation as one of the goats in the guitar world .. sdmf forever
Zakk is in my top 3 guitarist. Him and Dimebag alternating between 1 and 2 with Tony at 3. Randy in my top 5 ofcourse. It’s all just opinion anyways.
@@huggiebear7913 wtf just happened here?!?! Top what?!?!
who is tony? You can't include Iommi...never an Ozzy guitarist.
My opinion ... Zakks amazing but he's not Randy so people got upset ... Randy was an impossible act to follow it didn't matter who came next they'd never be Randy Rhodes the greatest guitarists ever could have showed up and fans would of still said he wasn't the greatest Ozzy guitarist
Holy crap! - my face just melted off
It's a beautiful thing...having you're face melted off..isn't it. Holy crap!!
The whole band is on fire great job!!!!
