- In this video I inspect the clutch and walk through the work I did on the swingarm, rear sprocket, and regulator/rectifier. I'll also talk about upcoming videos.
A huge thanks to Eric at @motorcyclerewind for helping me out on this one.
It's cool watching a lady wrench.
Good video! making progress
I found your channel through Eric so 👍👍
Oh, I say black shorty pipe or scrambler pipes if you find them 🍻
Eric is such a great guy giving me a shout out in his videos. Next video i'm gonna fix the front brakes. I also am debating on exactly what you suggest, black shortys or scrambler pipes... hmmm
Gotta do some moto camping with this scrambler! Would be rad! Great video 🤘🏻
Dude I would love that. I have travel fishing gear I could take too it would be epic!
Hey could you expand on the regulator/rectifier issue that caused the fire? I’m about to start working on one of these bikes and I’d love to avoid that situation if possible haha
So basically I plugged it in with the plug in the wrong orientation. I had to make and extender so I could mount it in a place that made sense. I didn’t match up the wiring correctly when I inserted the wires into the four prong clip. The pink and the yellow wires were crossed and it started melting the wiring as soon as I connected the negative wire to the battery terminal. I honestly still don’t know how I managed to mess up the plug wiring but it was an immediate oopsie 🔥
Please film and post some updates. I have a 1972 in very good not running condition.
I have already begun filming a new video so hopefully it will be up soon! 😉
"You need to have an honest conversation with yourself" 😅 Attacked
😂 my self talk 24/7
How did you !earn all the mechanics of motorcycles, so cool that you are restoring an old Honda, " You meet the nicest people on a Honda "
@nancypotterf5043 my dad always had me help him work on our trucks in the garage so I was confident enough to try to work on a motorcycle with the help of a repair manual 😆 I love fixing and restoring just about anything so these old Hondas bring me a lot of joy to tinker on and knock the dust off of em.
@@LadyMotoBang good job so far . “ You meet the nicest people on a Honda “ , Honda’s slogan you know
Crazy you smoked the wires
I know! I was being a dummy and lined up the connector backwards
barefoot kickstart video darling
Any chance you could 3D print new air box covers?
That’s actually not a bad idea and one I hadn’t thought of… unfortunately I don’t have a 3D printer. It sure would solve a lot of problems.
A member of the vintage Honda twins forum did this for the cb’s if you google retrocb you’ll find the website
Your getting there slowly
hopefully I can get more done with the new shop
Awesome video. ❤❤❤
Thank you!
This is a bad ass mechanic in action….
Haha thank you 🥰
I think they make some shorty dunstall replicas that sound good and look good. However, I think they could require a rejet. Don't quote me on that though.
On your brakes, I have heard form some old heads they can delaminate and separate from the backing.
Looking forward to seeing you get this bike set right!
I’ll definitely look into the dunstall replicas! Thanks for the advice on the brakes I appreciate it!
I'd go with some shorty pipes, make it growl. Eric is a cool dude! Looks like you have 98 subscribers now - moving along nicely!! Looking forward to seeing your new workspace - with AC - come on!!!
I finally got power to the shed so now it's time for shed move in day! also yeah im going with shortys on the pipes
Awesome job!!! Great video.
Thanks so much! Love your channel dude!
Like the channel.
Looking forward to more videos.
Thank you! I’m doing my best to keep ‘em comin.
