Yes. Basically since we are killing prior to 8 minutes, we will only ever be able to get 4 raid buffs in the fight. Options are: 0 / 2 / 4 / 6, 0 / 2 / 4 / 7 , 1 / 3 / 5 / 7, 0 / 3 / 5 / 7, etc. However, doing your first raid buffs at 1 minute is advantageous given these constraints as jobs will be able to build resources for the first minute to use in their opening potion. This is especially true for jobs like Dragoon and Reaper. Black Mage can also build extra polyglot for the burst window. Bard radiant finale will be 4% buff instead of 2%, etc.
At 5:20 you cast a high fire, is there an actual reason for this? My best guess would be either an alignment thing or an MP tick thing but it could have also just been a mistake. Never seen anyone do that so I'm interested if there's a reason for it
I find it curious. High Fire does have a lower cast time and he did allign it perfectly but I wonder what the potency loss on it is. hf is 140 and f3 is 260. surely in any unoptimized environment F3 wins. I'm sure he knows the exact killtime and believes he will lose a gcd if he doesnt use high fire?
They want the party to remain at a certain Hp for the next mechanic, using shields and mitigation to make up for the missing hp. This is because taking damage and surviving at lower hp thresholds builds more limit break. That’s why they were able to get 2 lb3 in 7 minutes.
I know this would probably make no difference but if you'reu toggle autoattacks you'll have a very minimal increase in dps. It is noticeable on scholar and summoner since their book attacks actually deal some damage. Cruz variance most likely will be more impactful but it is something to consider.
Is odd timing bursts a viable PF-log run option? You guys are still getting 99s while losing a burst, makes me wonder. PF currently requires sandbagging but its never that smooth
