If you run a in home daycare you can make up to 100,000 per year (or more). A family home daycare do not have a lot of over-head expenses. However, owing a daycare comes with a lot of expenses you MAY make $25,000-$50,000 per year (or more), it depends on if your daycare will be small or large.

I am from Texas, want to start in church, we have plenty of room, Looking to go this route. Any advice on non profit status
I would advise to not start a non profit daycare. Ask your pastor if you can rent the space from the church. Do a for profit business and rent from the church.
As a non profit, you will not be able to keep any of the profits. Plus, you can be voted out of your non profit business that you started.
My programs have always been regular for-profit businesses. I do not currently have advice on non-profits. I'm sorry about that. How do you or did you pay for transportation like a bus
It is something you can put into your initial budget when you're starting up, meaning save up for the purchase/rental. When I first started, I did not offer transportation at all. After operating for a while, that was a purchase we could afford to make down the line. However, there may be grants or opportunities available to you in your area that you could research and look into.
