    WORD TO THE WISE: A grant writer is not supposed to be paid to write & submit grant proposals! I am a Technical Writer and CEO of a nonprofit. Please let her know to stop paying in advance, and that grants writers are paid 8%-15% on the back end. Great interview! 💘

      The grant writer can not be paid from the actual grant itself but can ask for funds to do the work in advance for their time.

    Board members can get paid a salary . That salary has to be set because the rule to remember is majority of the money is suppose to go back into your non profit

    So for a lot of us folks interested in the non profit path, can we get a yes or no on the following question:
    Can you earn enough to make a living being a non for profit daycare center board member?

    Thank you for this. I have been looking for it 🙏🏽 but now I want to be for profit because this seems like a lot of work. Booking my call soon.

    Sounds exhausting... like hoop-jumping, handshaking-backbreaking, cult-collaborating, and potential shaky negotiations and clique affiliations. I don't play those games. It gives others too much power over you. YOU ARE NOT A BOSS... you are hanging on by a rope or puppet strings. Thx for the info!

    • @KiaYoung7
      @KiaYoung7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      lol, it does sound exhausting but i think it depends on your perspective, knowledge as a "boss", and confidence

    You use your for profit to handle the money and marketing, etc for your non profit. Two different entity's working together.

      Bad idea. 90% of African American nonprofits go under every year, due to the lack of administrative duties!
