I don't get the reviewers' obsession with thin bezel. The T15g G2 screen is higher up on a thick bottom bezel that's better for visibility than the other two laptops in the lineup.
This is Batman's laptop, I have the Gen 1. It's so beastly and efficient after I replaced the thermal paste with liquid metal... REPLACE THE THERMAL PASTE!!!!!!!!!!!! Grizzly Kryonaut, Noctua nt-ha2/1, arctic MX5/4, all work really well. You straight got me on the keyboard for a sec lol, I like it better than my M1 Mac keyboard.
I have the T15 G1. Did the liquid metal fix the thermal throttling? The heatsink design on the T15 G1 causes the GPU to choke out the CPU (The T15 G2 heatsink fixed this issue with an extra heatpipe). I was able to fix the issue with a -300MHZ GPU underclock but I am curious if your suggestion completely resolves the thermal throttling.
I have i7 11850 and RTX A5000, 96gb ram 3tb ssd, 4k screen, very good computer. 33% of list price from ebay. the fan sounded bad and it crashed a lot when i first got it but after updating windows, the firmware, all the drivers, etc, it is fine. perhaps this was why it was so cheap.
It appears Lenovo has discontinued the t15g gen 2 due to being unable to keep up with demand. I had talked with a sales representative and they intend to release a mother similar laptop next year
Hi my friend. Have one just like it. Just grab it. Tell me some thing please.. On witch sides the air is blown out whe and the fans are working? Can you hear the guns works at both sides or just the air going out? Mine jus blow on the lesf side both side and back... Does the right side is used to pull air in?
@@5after12 Well, I beg to differ, but that's not the answer to the question I had, mind you. It might be a bit more unsecured than the latest versions, but it's a personal preference in why I prefer it. The OS has worked great for me. No security threats. Heck, I'd be using windows XP if it wasn't that it's no longer supported by the CAD/CG programs I use. That was a simple OS that allowed me to be fast, but I digress. The UI on the newer OS is just backwards, slow and packed with unneeded crap. Just give me an OS that doesn't get in the way of allowing me to be fast. Cheers

how do I do that? I just ordered a t15g gen 1
@@sirhellsing You can do cpu speed adjustments with throttlestop and gpu speed adjustments with msi afterburner.

That's a lot of RAM
96 ram sounds crazy high. 32 gb would be plenty

that's a shame, it was a good device. Hopefully they just make a newer version with a bigger screen
@@5after12 absolutely. it seamed like a great laptop
It IS a great laptop. I have one. I'm here because I was on Lenovo's web site today and saw it was missing from the lineup.
Recently did an update now my laptop won't charge
@@Usernotknown21what laptop do you have?
My concern is that if I purchase t15g it will not be supported for long as this model is not very common as lenovo legion

sorry, I returned that one, then picked up the P17, but the P17 had coil whine. I don't recall any problems with my T15g
How can adjust the fans?
Recently did an update now my laptop won't charge
Or turn on
hi, are fans loud under normal work when compared to p17?
I did not find the T15 to be loud, the P17 was bonkers loud
@@5after12 great work, thanks for checking, have a nice day
Does it has whole metal body ? bottom top palm rest ( whole body )
i dont think it is actually metal, they call it something weird, it is sturdy, but doesn't feel metal like a macbook or razer
The cover panels are plastic, but there is a separate chassis inside that holds all the components.
Is there any ThinkPad that comes close to gaming laptop behavior?
some of the newer ThinkPads seem to be closer to the Legion line, but generally they tweak something just enough that makes it slightly different.
nice accent! Texas?
Kentucky!
Thanks for the review. Can you run these with Windows 7? I'm old school lol and never liked the UI from newer versions of windows.
You should not use Windows 7, it is an out of date operating system and will have security Vulnerabilities

There's no best laptop. There's only good price! Even the most expensive laptop u will find something that u don't like.
This is correct, going through a year of laptops has taught me there is something wrong with all of them. Currently I really like the Alienware X17
Gary bezels lol
