Yeah I feel like people don’t want to pay to look after them properly and then complain when they go wrong 🤷🏻♂️ granted we’re asking a lot of a little 3 cylinder but I think as long as they’re maintained they’re great little cars
@@MendItModItYeah it's just that damn wetbelt. That seems to fail sometimes even when the right oil is used. Don't do any engine flushes cause that also deteriorates it.
What a result! Well done. You've given me the confidence to tackle the stupid timing belt on ours as whilst the job is still daunting I feel confident knowing what lies ahead having followed your journey and I'll never know if I could do it without trying.
@@st200olWell you could always pay someone to do it. Some places do it for around 900 quid which is cheaper than buying a new car but obviously you can't guarantee other things might not go wrong
@@gamesmaster1060 That was my worry. Stories of the belt breaking up and blocking the oil pickup seem common. 900 quid for a belt change on a 2 grand car didn't seem to make sense to me either.
@@MendItModIt Just wanted to post back yo say that, inspired by your efforts here as I said, I've finally tackled the timing belt replacement - and won! Such a great feeling to get everything back together again and back up and running. Such a learning experience too. It feels like there's nothing I couldn't tackle on this car now.

No leaks or fuel smells at all so they’re all good. You have to stretch the seals, it’s the only want to get them on. The tool just makes it quicker and easier but they’ll still stretch I guess 🤔
If you check out my engine rebuild videos there should be a link to the Haynes website where you can get the manual, it was a massive help, had everything I needed and more!
18 month ago i was looking for a replacement fir my trusty mk2 focus ghia estate 1.6tdci i looked at a good few cars mostly on ebay. 1.0 ecoboost fiesta zetec s was high on my list. Absolutely incredible progress to see someone who’s not a ‘mekanik’ getting a non runner back in the road and through an MoT! 📈
Such an inspiration for those all us car lovers who work on our own car keep up the fantastic work.
So glad all of your hard work has payed off and the car passed the MOT! Happy for you mate!
Thank you mate 🙏🏻
I know your pain been up and down with my 1.0 ecoboost great cars if you keep eye on them.

I just sold mine, 2014 car with 95K miles, not really worth the hassle IMHO, let someone else have the bother of it.
They’re certainly not as bad as people make out, just a bit more to it than a lot of other cars. Follow the manual and you won’t go far wrong 👍🏻

So pleased for you. I’ve been waiting for this video for what seems like weeks. Already looking forward to the next instalment.
It’s taking a lot longer to film and edit these videos but I hope it comes across in the quality of the newer videos compared to my old ones 🥹
Pasio!!! 😂
Found this series near the begining and have loved every episode. Keep up the quality work mate! 👍

🎉 brilliant job 👏 👍 👌
Thank you 🙏🏻
Do you think you'll ever rebuild your st150 engine or is that all good for now?
Yeah this year, it needs doing badly 🥴
@@MendItModIt mine too mate burns about 1L of oil on every tank of fuel if I'm driving it hard 😂
tbf the exhaust fumes being white could be a blown cat
What inside the cat would be causing the smoke mate?

Have you checked that the lower seals on the fuel injectors are not leaking? I'm not convinced that you did not stretch them when installing.

you should do a maxton RS bumper kit, looking soooo sexy!
You know what I actually think that would be cheaper than a genuine black edition bumper 🤔
So where did all that steam go? :¬)
The MOT did fail?
Hello, do YOU have an manual for this engine?
If you check out my engine rebuild videos there should be a link to the Haynes website where you can get the manual, it was a massive help, had everything I needed and more!
Can't imagine your face if Pasio somehow meant fail in English
Imagine 😂😂
You can't use that bumper long term m8 😊
Watch me 😏😂
In America... no problem

Please it's OK wen you do oil change get good oil
For the wet belt you have to use the correct grade of oil or it will damage the belt
@@MendItModItNot just the right grade but the right specification (Ford WSS-M2C945-A)
