If you believe them as a genuine and transparent person who has your back, you’ll never stop their devaluation of you. The best way to avoid them devaluing you is to not engage your time, energy, effort, commitment to them in the first place. Having narcissist friends draining you for their supply is a huge error in judgement. Discernment and identifying toxic behaviour at all times is critical for self peace.

Yep, driving others crazy is how they fill their fuel tank, otherwise they crash and burn.

When you no longer fuel their supply they will turn on you in an instant, regardless of what you have done and continue to do for them. If you don't meet their every need when they need it you're now the bad guy, the enemy.

That’s exactly what I did. She thought she was slick. Figured I’d never figure it out. All the while she knew I’d already been through it all with my ex. But she couldn’t help herself. I asked her how long our situation was going to last. She told me in these words. It’ll last as long as you don’t change. Ha! Yes, she actually said that! Then qualified it by saying as long as her habits don’t start again. I really thought she was normal til then. I knew it as only a matter of time after that. I mean, who really says something like that? 100% narcissists…that’s who. Shortly thereafter…NO CONTACT! Don’t really care anything about her anymore. Just like that she got put in the rear view mirror; and I hope it hurt. Prolly not. But I can hope. 💪

This is EXACTLY what happened to me. There WERE things I did wrong but then I realized even if I did everything right, this still would have happened. My nex lives in an alternate and twisted reality.

I recently experienced this.The narc first targeted me,idealized me, like he actually saw me in a sparkly way lol.And then when he saw I am just human and not a super hero he discarded me.The devaluing never really took place due to the situation.We were not in a relationship.

Hey Danielle i really like ur content but i want to point out one thing from a males perspective who has been dating for over 20 years ….most women do this not just narcissist but most women do this without realizing the only difference i have noticed with a narcissistic woman is that this speeds up a little faster and they’re a little more harsh with their techniques but unfortunately this is common amongst women…. I would assume you ladies go through the same thing too.
Women go through it because they're trying to date the same man, and consequentially that makes them replaceable. Men go through it because they pretty much have to take what they can get.
