      IK. Bought my first BM couple months ago for 80 bucks, new, model Azeria. Can’t find them on ebay anymore for such a price.
      Meanwhile Spyderco is asking 200 bucks for really innovative designs like the Yojumbo.
      All I see here is BM's old classics but revamped and repriced. Im mean beautiful blades but was looking forward to fresh ideas. Remember the Morpho bali?
      How many Bugout versions do we really require if we are already able to customize our own? I mean for real collectors I get it.

      Despite what most knife reviewers on TH-cam claim, there's nothing wrong with a lot of the budget steels. Most of the time (unless it's a hard use knife) you just need to quickly hone the edge with a strop, and when you do have to sharpen, it's really easy.

      Budget knives are the only way these days, they've always had a special appeal to me more so than these over priced knives because of their name. These knife company's worked so hard for years to build their name and take care of their customers and then they start price gouging. These knife company's put made in USA and put their name on it and raise the price three to four times what it should cost. It's greed at this point. No thanks

    $200 for a bugout?? Benchmade has fallen so far.. demanding premium prices while materials have stayed stagnant and quantity control has PLUMMETED. it's kind of sad. I always thought Kershaw were cheap Walmart knives, but they're 2023 lineup is looking more and more appealing.

    The Tactile knife company Maverick will have the same lock, great action, better titanium handle, similar size, USA origin, MagnaCut steel, similar slim width, better geometry, better design, good pocket clip, and cost a couple hundred dollars less than a certain knife in this video.
    And the Micarta version will be even more affordable, literally less than half the price.

Also, very exciting to see Benchmade getting into S45VN and MagnaCut! I’d love to see an Altitude in MagnaCut or even Cruwear.

    The 10 or 12 Benchmade knives I own are my favorites. They were never inexpensive, but the BM price escalation for the past few years is beyond what I can justify. Losing some of their base is certainly included in BM’s pricing strategy, so they likely don’t wince at hearing us whine about the higher prices.
    Still, it makes me sad to see stagnant product development eg. “The Big Thing for 2023 are new colors” - are you kidding?! Fortunately, I’m grateful for the favorite Benchmades that I own.

    This is crazy the shootout was $270 when it came out then went up to $290 and now is $315 to $340 for the new colors. The titanium narrow knife is $522. The old benchmade anthem integral was $480 and was a way better knife. Benchmade knives are starting to cost way to much and it's always in-stock nothing rare about them.

    • @andresgamba1478
      @andresgamba1478 ปีที่แล้ว

      No one is getting in knife fights in combat anymore, to get into a knife fight means you have nowhere to run, you’re out of ammo, you’ve lost your rifle and can’t use it as a club, you don’t have your shovel to swing at the enemies head, you’re all alone and you’re fucked at that point anyways. I’m an infantry marine and I carry a 4 inch fixed blade and a leatherman, those have a lot more utility than one of those flimsy impractical daggers or big bulky bayonets, most guys I know carry a cheap 3-4 inch gas station folder and that’s all they really need.
