The original hard handle ratcheting screwdriver is the best tool they ever made. I also own the bent handle one that they made for a few years back in the early 2000s or so. Also there is a Williams version of the hard handle that is only 30 bucks or so. I own both. Good video!

I have the hard handle version. Love it and use it a lot.

Haven't even touched a regular screwdriver aside for very small electronics drivers since I got mine over a year ago

Watched several of your reviews in the last week or so... pretty good, but they'd by much more useful if they covered items with several years every day commercial use, compared pro/con's of new vs. older models and compared against competitors equivalents with like use. Could go on... think you get the idea...

There's also a 1/4" drive shank to hold sockets. I use it all the time. Love it!

Aww I never knew they made a 1/4 drive for these! I'm so getting one!
      Thanks for the info!

There is about 5 different shanks including a flexible one.

I have had a red soft grip standard one for about 7 years now and there is a flaw to the design. When you are using it I find the end cap comes off and all your spare bits stored inside go every where.I have to empty the bits out of it before i use it.Others in my work place have had the same problem over the years.
I have just brought the plastic handle SSDMR4BRXCV 95th Anniversary Ratcheting screwdriver which has an end cap that is screwed on with about 3 turns so it won't fall off.The plastic handle doesn't have inter changeable shanks nor can you hold a bit in the cap.

They shouldnt even make that spare compartment imo, kinda cheesy anyways

I know this is 3 years late but fun fact... the cap of the screw driver can also be used as a stubby that is why there is a 1/4 in hex insert there.

    Great video. Awesome tools.
But man, you need a tripod. If you are to review expensive ratcheting tools, you need a tripod.

Thank you! I've now invested in a tripod :) Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you got these at a terrific deal. I'm familiar with prices from the truck. Mind if I ask where you ordered your from?

Hi, I got most of my Snap On tools new from eBay. For some reason it's hard to find a deal on these ratcheting screwdrivers on eBay, seems that they are actually marked up in most cases. So I ordered these directly form the the Snap On website, the full size one is currently on sale throughout the rest of this month, it's part of the "Grads And Dads" promo going on now.
      Thanks for watching!

eBay and craigslist is where you want to look first and foremost. Sometimes you can get shit half price. But beware.. There are fakes out there so if possible look at the sellers ratings and reviews before purchasing.

Hey man do they make a tiny say 1" stem/shaft for these i love the 2 I have but they ckme with 3" shafts I believe I'd like the option to swap it out for a 1" and make a true tiny ratcheting stubby if these exist could you tell me the part number if you know?thanks

    • @-Cold-World
      @-Cold-World  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi John, I’ve never seen one, my guess is no. Thanks for watching!

@@-Cold-World thanks for responding but yeah I looked into it and guess you're right that's too bad they should make one that would be the ultimate stubby ratcheting screwdriver to use disassembling knives i collect knives but i still love mine anyways.

    • @-Cold-World
      @-Cold-World  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I hear you man! This stubby could be a bit more stubby! The non-ratcheting stubby they make is much smaller.

    • @J_Dukes
      @J_Dukes 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@-Cold-World exactly it's great the way it is but yeah if it had a shank that could swap out to make it like the regular stubbys they sell it would be perfect 👌
