Charvel is just different appointments to the quality. This is a modern passive version of a classic. The charvel which I own is very modern appointments that don’t really represent the classic version. They just look like it. It’s great, but I wouldn’t compare the pro-mod San dimas to any PBass I own. That’s just my honest opinion. The only PBass it sounds like would be the Mark Hoppus and that’s only in passive mode. Switch to active and boom in a new territory.
@@iGarcade Yeah, I was able to find one and try it on. It was an Aerodyne J-Bass though and I hear those have less dive than the Aerodyne P-Basses. I still thought it was too much dive for my liking... It bothers me a bit more than it bothers some. In the end I went with an AmPro II J-Bass and I'm really happy. Granted, I had to exchange the first one because the neck pocked had not been cut flat at it was making it so the neck wouldn't sit flat in the pocket. However, the second one I got is great. I'm still considering an Aerodyne, but a Strat rather.
Yea... it kind of does have that sound. I think the pup's are little less brittle, with a touch more warmth than the Performers. Still punchy/loud P sound though! Thanks for watching - Anthony
Definitely a switch-up. I was surprised how much I liked the new ones. I was skeptical though. Still not my thing personally, but they are cool. Finishes are certainly polarizing. Thanks for watching - Anthony
Gotta love the MIJ stuff.
I have a 2020 Aerodyne Jazz (export model) and it's absolutely delicious.
Disclaimer: I did change the pickups & bridge.
Love your demos Anthony. That's a nice sounding bass.
Looks like a Charvel color scheme but much higher quality. Thanks Anthony!
Totally has that vibe... wouldn't say much higher quality though. Those charnels are killer! - Anthony
@@EmpireMusicPgh I stand corrected on Charvel quality. Thanks

I wish Fender had offered a dark blue for this one? Maybe on the next run. 😀 Great demo as usual! Brent, VT
Not this time! Thanks Brent. Appreciate you watching them - Anthony
I think the Aerodyne line has been discontinued 😢
Just ordered one a few minutes ago. The guitar looks really good!
Cool basses!! Slick modern take on the Precision... and EASY to play.. Enjoy. Thanks for watching - Anthony
Sounds great! Green gives me the creeps though. Halloween theme suits.
This bass is only for Oct - Dec!! LOL - Anthony
It's a nice bass , I'll have to check one out . I love my MIJ Boxer bass
I have that issue with slapping without a pick guard but practice on a j without and I'm getting there
Very nice bass and it sounds good
Do you prefer this one or the performer?
Great review thanks
Aerodyne all the way. It feels better than the professionals and i just bought one for 650$
Good review. Maybe one suggestion is to move the lighting , getting string shadows on fretboard and glare on bass
Thanks for the suggestion, we're always tweaking things. Especially with the new set! Thanks for watching - Anthony
I want one... but I'm a little concerned that they might be a be top-heavy. How the neck dive?
They are top heavy. I just got the white one and definitely dives. However, after adding a KLIQ strap and my wireless pack it balances pretty well.

Wich type of Fender Bass is more vintage inspired? I am searching for that sound.
Sounds like american performer on p

MIJ Fenders seldom disappoint. Your pick technique isn’t bad, just keep working on it.
nice but overpriced
First !
Not anymore. Prices are down to $799
Sadly, thin on facts.
I hate what fender did to the aerodyne series
