I have one of these basses too. It's really hard to capture just how *BRIGHT* the white finish actually is in person. The fit and finish is amazing too.
I owned 2 of those bass guitars over the years. Always served me well. Have a great new year Mr. Dave and everyone that follows your channel as well. cheers 🍻
I bought one of these babies about a year ago in the exact same colour and loved it so much I bought the jazz bass to match. I love the aerodyne series so much, and I can't get over how beautiful they are both functionally and aesthetically.
The bridge is a Babicz No Contact Bridge. I have the Babicz 3 point contact bridge for Gibson Basses on my Gibson 2014 Thunderbird bass, Babicz makes great bridges 😊
I bought a used Aerodyne Jazz Bass a few years ago, in ebony with J/P pickups, smoked chrome hardware and a Strat-style jack. Aerodynes are nice basses. I'm not fussy on the Aerodyne guitars. It's my first real bass after a weird pawn shop stick bass and a Steinberger Spirit.
Just got one in Hot Rod Burst. I really wish that this is the way that Fender America would make the P-Bass. Carve top body, Binding, Painted headstock and NO F'ING PICKGUARD.
Just got the Aerodyne Jazz bass, very nice build. Throwing on a Hipshot drop tuner and a set of Relentless pups. Recessed bridge is definitely different.
I just got the p-bass version in hot rod burst...fantastic! Now im going to have to get rid of a few of my back breakers and get a jazz version. Great video and insight on how the bridge works. BTW...it is a Babicz® Z-Series FCH-4.
I play both bass and standard guitar. I own an aerodyne strat and it is a great guitar in dolphin grey with cream binding. It has become my main guitar. After watching this video I decided I need one of the basses also. Love the white color.
Looks like a Babicz bridge. Those allen screws on the back of the saddles One turns the cam, the other locks it in. Might use a bit of Loctite on the set screws, I've seen a few work their way out. EDIT You got it already.
Aerodynes seem to be an incredible lineup. I have the Jazz Deluxe with the binding that I added a Hipshot kickass bridge to. I will never get rid of her. Ever.
I've got a hot rod burst P and a Dolphin Grey J. I 100% agree that a white jazz and grey precision would've been neat. However I wholeheartedly believe they should've made the Jazz in speed green metallic.
Santa brought me Geddy's "Big Beautiful Book....", and it's indeed beautiful. He has a bit more than 22 basses but he does have a bit of dough too, ya know.
There is a non-export version of the Aerodyne that looks the same but it has the traditional Jazz bass pick guard with the metal plate around the knobs. Very nice bass.
I've never played an Aerodyne, but they sure do look like a sweet bass. Re the number of basses, I have 8 currently, which is at least 4 too many. I really need to stop procrastinating and sell some of them off. The same goes for my guitars!
@@DavesWorldofFunStuff Thanks. I have one just like it I need to set up. I've set up other basses of course, including P-Basses, but I'll cross check with this. Everyone has their own specific method.
This is a clear example of Japan made musical instruments: flawless details overall. However, the electronics was way undesired. Weak, all trebles, no bass. For $150 from Musician Friends, I got a 62' precision pickups to replace the already exist ones. Now it plays like a high-end bass, even better than my Fender American Professional one. If you own an Aerodyne, take this option. You won't regret it.
I don't care for those Babicz/Babicz style bridges. They are needlessly fussy. On the original Babicz there is an issue with adjustment screw access when the saddle is close to its furthest back setting. Can't get the wrench in without moving it forward. This knockoff version appears to have some of the things I don't like about it either fixed or removed.
I have one of these basses too. It's really hard to capture just how *BRIGHT* the white finish actually is in person. The fit and finish is amazing too.
The bridge is made by or licensed from Babicz. I have one on a Strat and it’s great, also one on an Aerodyne Jazz bass.
They do a good upgrade for the dreaded Gibson 3 point bridge too.
@@UncleGruntyup, got one on my thunderbird
@@ToloFest me too! I think they even sold a version with one on as standard at one point
Babicz is the absolute best bridges out there, have them on all my teles.Once you learn how to use them,……outstanding.
I have the Aerodyne Strat with the Babicz bridge system on it and you're right it is just a great mechanism.
Never seen one in white. That is slick!
My sentiments EXACTLY on phone communication! 😑👌
I'm happy to see Dave still going I've been away and havent seen a video of yours in a few years. Very therapeutic
I see a new Dave video, I watch a new Dave video! The black binding with the white paint job looks so cool!
I owned 2 of those bass guitars over the years. Always served me well. Have a great new year Mr. Dave and everyone that follows your channel as well. cheers 🍻
Thanks, you too!
Hi David. Very surprising but very happy to see you tonight. Cheers - Art🎸And I absolutely agree with you about meetings.

@@InjectBleach Dec. 20--first appearance
Great craftmanship.
Now if only Gibson would open a factory in Japan.
Beautiful bass,,,a very class act,,Thanks Dave!
Glad you enjoyed it
Lovely bass. My first and favourite p-bass was white. Great video.
@@InjectBleach Nov 8!

I was thinking of getting this exact bass. Glad you had some time with it. Good value for around $800 US.
Good taste
They've been 599 on reverb lately
@@samuelhall4056 they raised the price to 649. Still a great deal.
Love the Aerodynes
Ive got that Babitz. Its really a nice bridge.

Hey Hey Hey you d man Dave I have Larned alot over the years Thanks man
I had an aerodyne. I used it for one gig at the opera house and then sold it to get a plane ticket. I miss it 😢
@@InjectBleach you seem to

MIJ Fenders are always a cut above their American counterparts.
Nice tone on that.
It's my fave bass. I play it at all my gigs.
the new aerodyne strats and teles look so good too
Just got the Aerodyne Jazz bass, very nice build. Throwing on a Hipshot drop tuner and a set of Relentless pups. Recessed bridge is definitely different.
I had a MIM Jazz 8 or nine years ago that I put a Babicz FC bridge on. It really did add significantly to the basses sustain.
...and no pole screws to constantly adjust because they wiggle themselves out.
That is one beautiful bass!
Now all I need is the money to buy one!
I just got the p-bass version in hot rod burst...fantastic! Now im going to have to get rid of a few of my back breakers and get a jazz version. Great video and insight on how the bridge works. BTW...it is a Babicz® Z-Series FCH-4.
Thanks for you video's, I have learned the ropes watching. Always enjoy the common sense approach, thanks!
Glad you like them!
I want a bridge like that.

Man, seen plenty of the strats but this is the first Aerodyne P bass i have seen, good looking bass.
Looks like a Babicz bridge. Those allen screws on the back of the saddles One turns the cam, the other locks it in. Might use a bit of Loctite on the set screws, I've seen a few work their way out.
EDIT You got it already.
That is fricking nice...
Now I want one
Big fan. Happy new year Dave!
That is a beautiful P bass. I love Fender's that are made in Japan especially the Contemporary Strat guitars from the mid '80's.
Nice looking bass. Bridge looks like it could be a faff.
I have the Aerodyne Special Jazz Bass in Dolphin Gray and love it. My first bass actually. I'm thinking it might need a good setup.
SWEET BASS!
Aerodynes seem to be an incredible lineup. I have the Jazz Deluxe with the binding that I added a Hipshot kickass bridge to. I will never get rid of her. Ever.
The aerodynes are nice. The white is cool, but imo they gave the better colors to the jazz bass. The precision would look awesome in the dolphin grey.
I've got a hot rod burst P and a Dolphin Grey J. I 100% agree that a white jazz and grey precision would've been neat. However I wholeheartedly believe they should've made the Jazz in speed green metallic.
@@AJett35 Nice!
yup, they brought back the Aerodyne P bass, arch top is all its good for... thee ol' gooch top
Thanks! 🙂😎
nice guitar for sure.
How the hell does the routing and wiring and fixing of controls work? sweet looking PB, by the way.
The bridge is a Babicz BB-3548-010
Santa brought me Geddy's "Big Beautiful Book....", and it's indeed beautiful. He has a bit more than 22 basses but he does have a bit of dough too, ya know.
150k subs! Great stuff.
Yes! Thank you!
That bridge is a “Babicz” imitation if I’m not mistaken.
That is a sweet bas!
Nice bass! I agree about meetings and texts. Text "conversations" get crazy when you get out of sync with the person who's texting you.
Great stuff, keep it real
Bridge looks like a copy of a Babicz. Those are nice basses.
The Aerodynes come and go. Fender just discontinued them again. Get one now while you can.
Happy new year Dave!
Really nice bass! Must have cost quite a bit. Great finish with the binding etc.
Not really 999.99 in the U.S.
They're around £1,200 here in the UK.
If they go back to the p/j pickup configuration, I'm definitely getting one.
$1799 Canadian
The all white Aerodyne gives off strong Dee Dee Ramone vibes.
Should be babich bridge. Looks like it.
Very interesting bass. I was not familiar with the Aerodyne model.
very LIGHT..very cool..shaved of all the extra wood
@@DavesWorldofFunStuff I love my P-Bass, but it weighs as much as a compact pick up truck.

What is the neck heel size of this instrument. Does anybody know?
They could just be Babicz saddles. The bridge plate looks like a Fender. I could be wrong though
I had a Aerodyne Strat a few years ago, very finely made instrument. I just couldn't bond with it, 7.25 neck radius was a no go for me.
What size is it at the heel
What is this "too many bass guitars" of which you speak? Just kidding. Looking forward to another year with you.
What gauge thickness did you use to check relief at 1:00?

Babitz I think
Looks like a less rounded, more sharp 'edge' on edges of body -

Can't Beat Japanese Instruments.
The horn isn’t quite as big as the other bass clean up and fox. I guess this is why it’s white? Thanks again Canuck. Cheers from Texas.
36 basses here. It's a disease. LoL
25 here, some serious GAS.
