Liking the look of the Birch Green. The rolled fingerboard edges are definitely an upgrade.

I have a Player series P and the edges are great on it, even without the rolled feature. I cant wait to get one of these Player 2s!

I'm glad they put the rosewood back again like the Vintera series. The Player series was already a good compromise between the Squier Classic Vibe and the american entry level, but, in Italy this Player II is 920 euros (more or less 940/50 bucks) and you can find the Vintera II at 1150 euros and sometimes even at 1050 on discount. So my answer is: why gettin' so close to the higher Vintera Series with the entry level one?
More: for 920 euros no bag? I don't get it actually.
Sometimes it seems that the Fender marketing doesn't think like the common customer and doesn't do basic home economics...
Wonderful video as always, by the way! 👋👋👋👋👋❤

I tried out the black one at Guitar Center yesterday. It was really really nice. I was almost tempted to trade my current P Bass for it, if only because it must weigh at least one pound lighter, and the neck felt amazing.

I’ve just bought one. Great review. I had the choice alongside an American Professional II and the Player II was much lighter. Appreciate U putting the bass thru different sonic outputs & styles of playing. Two points: 1) The bridge: Easy intonation ? Intonation stability ? 2) Pots: Does each pot have a 1/2 way middle home point of reference ? Pots made out of plastic or metal ? Note: I do like the bass I viewed on this video.

I feel the build quality on the player series is better than the American these days. I once found a hair within the paint on an American pro II. I’ve noticed many other issues with American fenders.

    • @EmpireMusicPgh

I like pretty much everything about the Player 2 series in general, except for the color choices. There's only 1 or 2 in each category (Strat, Tele, P-bass, etc.) that I'd actually consider, the rest are either ugly, or they have a pickguard color that doesn't really compliment the body color. They should come out with a few more color options.
