Maybe the new drakkar bottlings just need to mature a bit. It tends to be impossible to guess to what extent a scent will develop over time. For this reason, the comparisons with bottlings from the 90s are simply pointless. Since I own a vintage bottling, I can confirm that Dakar not only smells exactly like the original, but is also absolutely strong from the start in terms of durability. Unfortunately, there is no reason to buy the original anymore unless you like the bottle. The content has been trumped by Dakar. Here in Germany, a bottle of Dakar costs around €10.00 - so it's unrivaled in terms of price. Anyone who wants to smell like shaving foam and doesn't mind the slight old man vibe can get Dakar without hesitation. As a perfume collector it is definitely an absolute must as this odor profile has simply made history.
I'm thinking of trying lomani and dakar but not sure since I have classic match and reel drakkar is only $24 for 200ml the others are actually more expensive per ml but my drakkar noir only lasts 1-2 hours on 16 sprays the classic match goes for 5-6 easy on skin but I agree classic match has a weird sweet syrupy smell
My favorites right now are Giorgio for Men Giorgio Beverly Hills Aramis Lapidus Pour Homme Ted Lapidus Zino Davidoff Davidoff Versace L'Homme Quorum Antonio Puig Red for Men Giorgio Beverly Hills Sung Homme Alfred Sung Bogart Pour Homme Jacques Bogart Animale for Men Animale Go grab a few of these all are cheap but great! I love eternity, animale is very similar
This guy is full of shit Drakkar does not smell like shaving cream lol, I've been using it since 1982 and I've had hundreds of compliments from woman and younger woman still ask me what am I wearing that smells so amazing, I've tried many other colognes but none compare to Drakkar except Drakkar essence, woman love it
