    I like this - it's different. I've seen a lot of cars recently that I thought "that might do", but I actually like this because someone's made actual effort with it.
    It's not even ruinously expensive for it's size and spec.

      Estates 15-25 years ago were dominated by SUVs and CUVs because they couldn't fly over ramps. Thankfully the CX5 could tackle that market.

    That Mitsubishi Montero around the 10:09 Mark, that's a Pajero in other markets. However, in Spanish, "Pajero" means literally "wanker", so they changed the car's name in Spanish-speaking countries

My ex could not stop laughing when she saw it. We ended up having to explain to him why she found his car so funny.

      @@BobFlavinVideo Another bit of interesting trivia.
      I`m sure you`re familiar with Ford Kuga. Well I`m from Slovenia and kuga in our language means plague (check it in google translate if you don`t believe me). And unlike Spain which has about 40 milion people to my knowledge + tens of milions of people in Latin America that speak Spanish = big markets Slovenia only has 2 milion people so Ford just didn`t bother renaming the car for our market. So anyone that buys Forg Kuga in our country buys basically Ford Plague.
      I should point out that unlike Ford Renault cares about these things (in our country atleast) to the extent that the`ve renamed the new Arkana model Megane Conquest just because Megane is despite it`s age still quite popular car in our country.
      How is that for a bit of trivia knowledge.😉

    Hi, thanks for this review, been a Citroen owner all my life, except for a 4 year period with a Volvo, nice car but always in the repair shop. Now I drive the C5, a wonderfull car and very reliable, the C5X seems to be a natural follow up with the same "flying carpet" feeling, and a modernization. of the exterior and interior. Like my C5 IIÍ's appearance, the C5X maybe a little overdone but that is the modern way, I suppose. A little more subtle down-toned exterior, but a Citroen is a Citroen, craves habituation. I like it and fully electric, I would buy it❤

    We buy far too many items from China and are too dependent on Chinese made goods. This is made in China and for that reason along with some BMW's, Mercedes Benz and VW group cars should be avoided. This car should be manufactured in France or at the very least in a European country.

    Will there be a diesel? Looks like the perfect motorway cruiser, but the PHEV, apart from the horsepower, hasn't convinced me yet. You get 300 kg more weight in the car and probably a smaller fuel tank, which isn't ideal for those of us who do a lot of motorway driving, which is unfortunate, because the rest of the car seems absolutely perfect for it.

    • @BobFlavinVideo
      @BobFlavinVideo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There won’t be a diesel version of the car only the ones in the video and the forthcoming electric version. I don’t think we’re going to get to many more diesels in the future unless it’s from Mazda

    • @morecoffee998
      @morecoffee998 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@BobFlavinVideo I am going to miss having 1100 - 1200 kilometres of range in a normal family car
      Last generation of the C5 had a tank capacity of 71L, this new hybrid can hold 40L and the NA has 53L. It's just not enough. It's the same reason why I didn't get a Talisman, which has a capacity of 45L.

    • @Hattonbank
      @Hattonbank 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. I have had C5 diesels for over10 years doing 250,000 miles in them and they always had a range of 700 plus miles, and 45-48mpg.
      Thus version will do 400 miles and if you are lucky, 40mpg.
      Oh! And it is made in China.

    I love the citron brand and always will .
    To give you a heads up thank you for explaining all that needs to be said but for me the camera work here was great for not using a wide angled ( fish eyed lens )
    The world isn't rounded in arcs everywhere so no need to show this vision on a video .
    That's not how humanity sees things unlike NASA who can't help themselves even at 30,000 feet and we have curvature on land that's not what the eye sees .
    So great job at giving us all good video without looking like I need to have my eyes checked .

First iteration always has problems, like leaking hydraulic lines ;). Not the suspension at fault, but Citroen being very cheap with the first BX ;). The second generation BX was incredibly reliable :P.
      So I doubt that changed with this one ;)
      Sorry I shouldn't mess about. Just am a big fan and grew up with the suspension as a kid (parents owned second hand BXs). Such a smooth ride :). Never any problems, but all of them were the second gen ones. They (Citroen sellers) warned us about the first gen ones HEH :P.
