Perspective. Larry legend continues to kiss modern NBA players ass.
He stated the game has evolved for the better. That the game is in a good place. Larry has said numerous things about the modern game~ all in a positive, politically correct manner.
listen, as a fan of the game, I am all for AOH rants.
Never had personal feelings for these men, outside of basketball.
The older fans who bitch and moan about the personalities of others while simultaneously glazing their “heroes” certainly reminds me of catty high school girls.
The only thing that matters from any of them is what they say relative to the game of basketball, and the business of the NBA.
Outside of that, idol worshipping, having some type of disdain for them personally, is simply “wild” for a grown man.

  • @tonj02
    @tonj02 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +21

Ya, the 2016 finals were completely fabricated in terms of the final outcome. A couple of things to note there:
Lebron and Kyrie were not scoring at will like they ended up doing in games 5-7 in games 1-4 because the warriors had a legitimate rim protector in bogut. He went down in game 5, then all the sudden the those 2 could attack the basket with ease. Not only because any time they got touched it was called a foul, but also because the warriors had to play a washed varajao, festus Ezeli and James Michael macadoo (who were both complete trash and were quickly out of the league right after that series), minutes at center. Game 6 was only won because of terrible officiating. 3 out curry’s 6 fouls for that game were complete bogus, and every time he would lead the warriors on a run to bring them close, the refs would just call him for another phantom foul. And again, they also didn’t have bogut, and by this time igoudala was dealing with a back injury. You also have to factor in that the Cavs defensive game plan was just double and triple curry and leave everyone other than thompson wide open, and the warriors didn’t have any other shooters so it worked for the Cavs. Barnes shot like 15% over the second half of the series and was terrible all series long despite most of his shots being wide open. All of the other role players came up short as well. Another problem was kerr’s coaching. His unwillingness to run pick and rolls offensively, and his inability to adjust with pre switching defensively to ensure curry or ezeli wouldn’t be switched onto lebron or Kyrie was what cost a ton of points in games 5-7. On top of all this, this was the year Adam silver changed the days off between games from 1 day to 2 days, because the year before, lebron got gasses down the stretch of the series. Silver added an extra day so lebron would have more time to rest. Btw, if igoudala didn’t injure his back, he would’ve just dunked that ball instead of going up for a weak layup, and the warriors would’ve scored to break that tie rather than Kyrie hitting the 3.
    to sum up:
Bogut injured, green suspend, curry injured, igoudala injured. Kerr unwilling to adjust offensively and defensively. Refs screw GS and curry in game 6. Barnes and most other role players on gs wet the bed. Silver changed schedule so lebron could get more rest.

Not only did LeBron popularize superteams, even though you could argue the Celtics started it, LeBron started something else that is equally as insufferable. Rather than just moving teams every few seasons, he just replaces most of the roster every off-season and mid-season. He has tried for years to force championships by switching up the roster every year, sometimes twice a year. lol, That's why I will always enjoy watching teams like the Warriors or Nuggets over them. Hell, even the 2014 Spurs. They built the team through the draft, made the right trades when it made sense, and built chemistry over many seasons together. Rather than trying to force chips every year by throwing random stars and role-players together. And then trading them by the trade deadline midseason when it doesn't work right away. Not at all taking time to build legit chemistry. I find it so insufferable. Ever since he went to Miami he has been trying to force chips.

Nah. You can’t argue the Celtics started it.
For context every team that’s won a championship since the merger in the 70’s have had “stacked” teams.
      Well before the Celtics.
      • what people refer to is Lebron linking with two other top 5 picks in the same historic draft, all ALL-NBA players all under the age of 30, right in the beginning of their primes.
No other great player before Lebron did that. Not considered doing that.
Teams were formed via trade, and draft.
KG and Ray Allen had been in the NBA over a decade when they were traded to Boston.
There was no off season collusion to join together via free agency.
      Nah.
      Lebron, Dwayne Wade started that.
Steph and KD and others followed suit.
Lebron did it two other times.
      The Celtics didn’t start it.
      FTR
There have been other NBA teams throughout history that were even MORE stacked. But the circumstances were different, through draft and trade. Never through player collusion.

I think KD joining the Warriors made everything a level playing feild. Superteam vs Superteam in the 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals. What happened? Kevin Durant destroyed Lebron stepping up throughout those games but especially down the stretch hitting big shot after big shot in Lebron's face winning both chips with the Warriors while Lebron shrunk. Before all that in 2015 and 2016 the Warriors were not a Superteam. They drafted players and some turned into great players but were well coached by Mark Jackson then Steve Kerr.
Lebron James - " man JR Smith ruined my legacy...dumbass thought we was up and didnt know how much time was on the clock "........" i basically been playing this whole series with a broke hand...just look at this brace on my arm and wrist and hand...ya see...no no right here this brace...its got a velcro strap and everything on it " 😂😆

If the Warriors were such an unbeatable superteam, why is it that the Cavs played THE VERY BEST SINGLE GAME OF THE SERIES IN 2017, GAME 4, in which the Cavs absolutely blew out GSW?? !!! In addition, if GSW were so unbeatable , how is it that a James Harden- led Rockets team minus Chris Paul due to injury was able to take GSW to 7 games ??!!... Harden Rockets took GSW to 7 games!!! If CP was playing they likely beat GSW , only Harden typial clutch failure was the reason the Rockets lost!!! Lebron couldnt even get GSW to 4 or 5!!!! and with more of a true superteam than the Rockets had!!!!

I went through Lebron's rosters from all 10 finals teams & the names you can list are unreal. From top 10 teammates, 2 top 12 teammates, multiple fringe all-star guys, multiple "best in the league" niche guys (Korver, Mike Miller, Birdman Andersen, etc), & more former-all star's ring chasing in their mid-30's than you can count.
The amount of balls it takes for some of talking heads to mention Pippen as a detriment to Jordan's legacy is amazing to me considering the carryjobs by Lebron's teammates. Those are Wade's, Bosh/Allen's, Kyrie, & AD's 4 rings.

  • @megavolt67

My question is why couldn't LeBron win one game against the 2018 Warriors whereas Harden and Paul won three against them? Superteam my butt. We all saw that the Cavs had chances but got outplayed whenever it was close. Especially in those third games where KD cinched the Finals MVP each time by directly outplaying a scared LeBron in clutch moments.
And yeah, on the point of struggling until you get over the hump, I do find it amusing how KD committed an unforgivable anticompetitive sin by joining the Warriors but LeBron who couldn't beat the Celtics (who were older than the 1991 Lakers and Pistons that LeBron fans say MJ couldn't beat until they got old) gets a pass for needing Wade and Bosh to get by them and still somehow almost blowing that 2012 series.
If KD is to be condemned for going to other teams to try and make things easier for himself (and some points certainly should be deducted when comparing him to other all time greats), then LeBron should be condemned in equal measure (if not moreso). But you still see LeBron fans and sports analysts pretend that there's a world of difference either because KD specifically joined the guys that beat him, or the real reason they're mad, which is that he failed to win in Brooklyn. If he wins in Brooklyn, the narrative is totally different for sure but injuries derailed that 2019 run and then COVID happened.
We know this because when he won back to back in Golden State the sports media completely forgave him (after two Finals MVPs, they had to) and was ragging on LeBron for getting swept and faking that hand injury (ha ha). KD really should've stayed with the Warriors and I'm sure they would've won that bubble championship no problem. But alas, Draymond is such an irritant and some people got into KD's head with the notion that he needed to win without Steph.

Appreciate the breakdown and studied facts regarding the 2016 finals because if Lebron loses, the false narrative of him being the GOAT would have been destroyed… but the mainstream media has miraculously crafted that his comeback from down 3-1 was of epic performance… injuries, poor officiating, unprecedented foul outs and ejections in a finals series… NBA will never get back the luster it once had do to flagrant corruption and manipulation of the game

I don't agree that LeBron is a great player. I think if you put him in the 70s 80s or 90s then he's nothing but an average player who would have probably never won a championship just like Barkley Ewing Malone and many others who were much better than LeBron. There was too much talent back then. 1992 - blew out every team by 40 points! 2004 - Lebronze

Lakers will get in 100% guaranteed. But I don’t think the league can really devise anything to get them through Denver. They already awarded LA the most free throws during last year’s postseason.
