Michael Jordan will never apologize to Isaiah Thomas, in fact he has no reason to as far as I see it! When the Chicago Bulls defeated the Detroit Pistons with Isaiah Thomas in the playoffs in 1991, and went on to defeat the Lakers in the 1991 NBA Championship. Well after Chicago beat Detroit immediately after the game instead of showing sportsmanship to Michael and the Bulls Isaiah ran straight to the locker room with some other Piston players. That move sealed Isaiah Thomas fate in not being chosen to play with the Dream team in the 1992 Olympics. You see Isaiah started the bs, that's why I say, Michael Jordan doesn't owe Isaiah Thomas sorry a...s nothing especially not an apology. Some people will never be friends it's not a big deal!💯

Idk if anyone remembers back in ‘92 there was an audio that leaked where a hot mic caught Scottie Pippen saying “if Isiah is in the team I ain’t playin” and he wasn’t the only one in the audio addressing Isiah not playing but he was the loudest. It was a crazy time.
@Stewie-A-Simpson it's didn't leak. It's been out since the DT doc. Jordan didn't want to play for the DT they had to convince him. @drehaynie164 then ppl will say it's bothering him so much he can't even talk about it etc lol but really he only talks about it when asked. It's a lose/lose for him
Honestly, I don't think he cares too much about the relationship with MJ. What he does care about is that he is the main reason they took the Dream Team from him while being deserving of it. The Dream Team would have been like a badge of honor for the rest of his life. In my opinion, Isaiah can be upset about it forever and he would be justified. Its unfortunate and BS what happend.

Growing up, Zeke and JoeD were my favorite players. I loved the Pistons. But this revisionist history has to stop. Zeke was the gatekeeper in Chicago. When MJ first got there, Zeke made it easy for him to assimilate into the city. But when the city started to turn on Zeke and MJ became Chicago, he hated that and began to treat MJ in such a way as to sever the relationship. Then when they walked off the court without acknowledging the Bulls, it was completely over. The way the public viewed Zeke was never the same. And remember, Zeke's head coach was the coach of the dream team. He even said it wasn't MJ that kept him off the team. It was Pippen, Malone, and Barkley. And by the way, Zeke is a ass hole. But that's what made him and those Piston teams so great. But they are the only dynastic team (EC Finals, EC Finals, Finals, Finals win, Finals win, EC Finals lost to Bulls) that isn't treated as one. And it was because of the attitude and overall disrespect for the league and other players in it.
I agree 100%. A lot of these fans and analysts today don't understand this feud. I grew up in Chicago in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Isiah was so jealous that Jordan was the face of Chicago basketball in his hometown. You had to have lived in Chicago during those times to understand the rivalry. This can't be explained. You won't understand it just watching documentaries or listening to these players tell the stories. You had to be there to understand it. Notice how Jordan never really talks about it? I'll give credit to Isiah....I believe he is the best point guard/ball handler ever with Jerry West behind him. I would choose Isiah Thomas over any point guard today. But, he's still a piece of sh*t, dirty player and Chicago will never forgive him.
This “beef” goes beyond the Dream Team diss. Zeke and MJ were cool when MJ first entered the league. I think Zekes nephew stayed with MJ and Zeke who’s from Chicago looked out for MJ. Then when Zeke walked out the court without shaking MJs hand, that pissed MJ off. MJ expected it from Bill but not from Zeke.
He knew. Chuck Daly was his coach. If Daly didn’t tell him, than he didn’t like him either. Either way, bro needs to move on, this is sad that he’s still thinking about this.
I am 62 going on 63 years old and I use to watch the Pistons and Bulls back in the day. I will say Isaiah should’ve been on the team based on his skill set, but I understand why he didn’t make and I totally agree with the decision. Isaiah and the Piston only won because they started playing football, they was trying to hurt players. Joe Dumas, and Vinny Johnson played the game correctly and the rest was haters and really was trying to injure players. Isaiah needs to get over it, he made this bed and now he has to lay in it. MJ should not apologize because Isaiah was exactly what he was called based on how he played and acted.
with all due respect you are going on 63, you're telling me that the pistons were a rougher team than the 76ers, celtics, lakers, bucks, etc? that was the style of play back then, c'mon now we can't just rewrite history

The Dream Team would have been like a badge of honor for the rest of his life. In my opinion, Isaiah can be upset about it forever and he would be justified. Its unfortunate and BS what happend.
The Last Dance came out in April 2020. The rumors about Isiah not making the team because of Jordan had been out for two decades before then.

@@johnhoward8081yeah like he was gonna give up a dream opportunity and he wasnt even their coach anymore
Well said, true perspective, but those others said it because the NBA wanted them to. MJ ran the world and his wish was their command.

Joe Dumas, and Vinny Johnson played the game correctly and the rest was haters and really was trying to injure players. Isaiah needs to get over it, he made this bed and now he has to lay in it.
