I just found your channel and absolutely love it. Especially the fact that you say things don’t have to be “perfect”, because we are all imperfect people. 😅
This would indeed be lovely with fall fabrics, Cheri! 🌟 Thanks for sharing that idea. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. Happy quilting! 🌼
That was a lot easier than I expected. I think I need to pack a project bag and my mini sewing machine with gif my 4 day vacation next weekend and work on this project. Thank you Stacey and Niels for another wonderful tutorial. 🌸💖💖🌸
You are such an excellent teacher! I appreciate the time you take with your videos and the thorough explanations of what is needed to create such beautiful projects. Thank you so much!
I had to go to my old IPad as I was not able to write you on my beautiful new one! I didn’t just love your video, I loved the way you pieced it. I also loved the way you prepped the whole part. I have a lot of table runners to make for family and friends. You have a bonified new person to add to your list. I will have to watch more episodes! TY, TY, TY. Piece and blessings, Vicki Robles❤❤❤
Great video! I went to the link through my email at 5pm so didn't show where to comment. So, came back to facebook and hit the link so that I could like and comment!
I’ve never seen anything done like this and I think it’s wonderful! Can we apply this to something bigger, you think? It seems so much simpler and it turned out so well! (What you said at the end about children with handmade quilts was very touching!)
A friend tried something quite similar and she found her strips were getting wonky the further from the middle she went. Have you experienced that? I’m thinking she didn’t pin enough or keep a consistent seam allowance? Lovely project!
I think this can happen when they are slowly added a little crooked. I would measure every few pieces that they are straight with a ruler and making sure my seams are lining up with lines on my ruler.
Stacey, Why does my fabric bunch up in front as I sew a 1/4” down one side of the table runner. It isn’t just this table runner. I am having trouble with fabric bunching up when I sew batting onto fabric. Thanks. Pat
I have been asked many times to do a Quilt As You Go project, so here it is, I hope you like it ☺

Thanks
Thank you so much Gail! I appreciate it so much! 😊
If you line up a 6” wide ruler along your cut edge, then butt your 6” x 24” ruler against it, you can cut your second edge.
Wonderful - thank you!
❤️😊❤️
What kind of batting is good for a runner. Thanks!
Hi Anita, I just use leftover batting for these type of projects. But if you want to put hot things on it then maybe get some insul-bright batting 🤗

It’s hard to say why? Have you tried a walking foot?
Can you use spray instead of pins?
Hi Marie, Thanks for watching. You could use spray basting glue for the backing, but I wouldn't use it to add the strips :)
I am always stumped by the backing. I don't like sashing and I don't want to hand sew.
This might be something you like then 🤗 Please note I made a mistake in the cutting instructions - Strips for top to be cut at 2.5” x 14”
