Lovely video. In answer to your question, any fish is a delight and privilege to catch whatever the size or species. It's just being out fishing that counts. Tight lines, Phil.
Hope you enjoyed your day, I tried the Scotswood mark opposite Vickers Sunday 3hours before, 1 after 2 flounders,(put back) crabs, nice spot, noisy with the traffic, good to Relax and good for your Wellbeing 👍
Great stuff Steven. Yes, it's a little noisy but on its day it's a great little spot. I have noticed the litter is getting a little worse. Just need anglers to clean up after their session.
Hi Darren. It was great to meet you today (I'm the one who took my bike in to get sorted), thanks for your TH-cam and editing tips. Well done on your channel. I've not been fishing for a while. Maybe I should go on a long bike ride, take my old collapsible rod, and do some fishing! Stuart (aka Stuggy :)
Brilliant again... Trouble is, i wait all week for your vids they drop then gone! Lol... I really enjoy them Darren, usually have plenty of info and tips. I fish firstly for the craic, i fish with some fantastic guys, who have become genuine firm friends,Bit of banter etc... I enjoy the odd day out alone, thats normally a "head space day".. catching immaterial, but helps when im fishing the comps! Thanks again Darren, keep em coming!
Another great video, keep them coming. Any day if I'm out fishing with my lad is a good day. Love winter beach fishing and I'm hoping for a few 5lb+ this winter. Going to target smoothies and rays on the Holderness coast next summer, havent particularly enjoyed scratching for bits on the NE coast this summer, although it still beats watching telly in the house
Everything is achievable, Stephen, it's just putting the time in. Winter beach fishing is right up there for me too, love it 👍. Thanks for watching, really appreciate a watch and a comment.
Cheers Jed. I personally prefer the Ian Golds Match range. Very light and sturdy. The blue Shakespeare Salt weight a tonne imo and the new Akios stand is just too expensive for me.
I just love to get owt fishing mate brought up in the north east but live in Cumbria now I’m targeting a thornback ray no luck as yet but any fish is a bonus mate 🎣
It would have to be chasing a specimen flatfish. Probs a huge plaice down south or a huge turbot up north. That being said though I’ve seen fishing down Dorset Chesil beach is astounding and further west to Plymouth you get right good conger, bass, bream and mullet fishing in the Tamar area. Unfortunately around where we live mate the best fishing is basically mackerel in summer or cod in winter. Unless freshwater is your forte and you like the salmon and trout or course fishing. For me I don’t like the exclusivity and high and mighty sense I get from those types. Nowadays too many rules and regs. Not to say that rules and reg aren’t good but how much bleedin money is getting pumped in to ea agency and our rivers and fisheries are the crappest they’ve ever been. Plus bass fishing could be good round here but people are way to secretive about methods and locations. Eyemouth used to be unreal as you’d probably see in the likes of Jarrowvikings videos but it’s a mission away for us and scrambling down deathly cliffs for lacklustre fishing lately isn’t worth it. If you live in the northeast and love fishing like I do you’d be best off going to Norway for the cold water specimens or somewhere extravagant like the Azores or Canaries for the fast and colourful sportfish. Anyhow keep up the good work Mate I’ve enjoyed a lot of your videos 👍 p.s have anyone ever wondered what it would of been like fishing the northeast coast 2-300 years ago. Has anyone heard what the firth of Clyde or anywhere on the west coast used to be like a few hundred years back, they reckon these waters used to be boiling and teaming with huge fish diverse as you like. It’s craziness to imagine like
You're an angler after my own heart. I share your thoughts . I have witnessed elitism first hand throughout my years of fishing. On the rivers, stillwaters and Sea. It's ugly and tars what Fishing should be. Bass Fishing is healthy here and alive just closely guarded. I have spoken to older gentleman as a teen and even the river Tyne gave up some large cod back in the 40's and 50's. Thank you for your thoughts and of course watching my little channel. Appreciate it 👏
Another great video, Keep the marks name as the scooner as everyone knows that name. I personally enjoy just to be able to get out fishing I prefer sea fishing for the different locations Don’t like sitting on a lake, fish have no where to go.
nice one Darren plenty of good advice again bud ,looking forward to the codling arriving ,looking forward to your next videos cheers buddy stay safe
Cheers, as always. The codling are showing already. Hopefully a good winter season .

Cheers Phil. I agree totally. Everyday on the water is a blessing, fish or not. All the best 👍

Haha cheers for that mate, I might bite the bullet one day and use something smaller than a 6/0 and chance it!!
I will believe it when I see it mate! 🤣🤣
@@northeastangling 🤣👍
Don't believe a word he's says. He loves a bit flattie bashing down Blyth harbour when the camera isn't rolling 😁@@northeastangling
Just being by the river, the hope of a bite and the peace is a priority for me.
The great escape, good for mind, body and soul...tight lines my friend.
The spot across the river is called the green door on glasshouse st
That's the one, i could not remember it for the life of me . Cheers, Richard .
That bank could do with a bit cutting back, I went sliding down it the other week. 😮😮😮😮😂😂😂
Your right David, a little overgrown. They are lethal when it's wet . Thanks for watching 👍

The bast thing I like is seeing my son's catch cod but it's still a good day out away from the riggers of life
Nothing better than watching others catch fish too Richard. Every day fishing, is a good day. 👍
