A trip up to Beautiful Eyemouth over the Scottish border in search of Summer Cod, Wrasse, Pollack and anything else! ...sometimes what you get is NOT always what you want..
Great video! I am convinced a seal got me many years ago on SS Pier. Got a massive bite and hooked up with what felt like a 5lb+ fish. Started fighting reeling it in and felt a thud and my rod doubled over, my mate loosened my drag and whatever it was took off towards Newcastle. It literally took every last cm of line which I cut my hand trying to grab then my mate cut the line to save my rod 😮
Well done me chums. You cannot beat a bit of last cast drama. Good luck in Skye gutted I can't make it but there will be plenty more trips planned next year. ( Darren W )
cracking mark bud shame about the seal they definitely now which fish is best to take lol but you and your pal still had a nice mixture of fish well enjoyable , cheers bud stay safe
Another cracking vid bud ..used to love the lures around St abbs etc...however only fish the fly now and it's bloody dire at the moment haha .. keep it up bud look forward to the next one 😎👍
Honestly my chum...why the Cod??..could it not have had my pollock or wrasse? It's was last cast too, fish pulled the rod out of the stand and it was clear of the kelp. 😩
Cracking video, really unlucky with the seal (again). At least you had some nice wrasse. You and Steve make a good double act. Never bait fished a rock mark before, any suggestions for where me and my 10yr old could try a bit more local to the north-east this autumn?
Thanks Stephen. Sparta is a great guy. Great day out. There are quite a few rock marks locally for the winter, safer in daylight with a child though. Whale rock, Cambois . Seaton Sluice (Rocky island) , New Hartley..get onto a Facebook page and just ask . Always somebody willing to help. Or even better, join a local club👍
@@northeastangling cheers Darren. I'm from South Shields but been living in N Yorks for the last 15 years so not a lot of clubs nearby. Will give Seaton Sluice a look - we fish Blyth pier and Newbiggin bay in the winter so close to our normal marks
Cant quite put my finger on it but that video was the best you've done mate!! Top man! Your subscribers are in for a treat in the coming weeks 😉
It is all down to your sparkling charisma, mate. Seriously. Top day, top banter. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 👍
Good to see you both out enjoying the session despite the seal gate crashing the party.
Cheers Phil. This year has been horrendous for me with the seals. Anyone would think they lived in the sea!!
Brilliant vid again Darren, unlucky with the seal?!!
Two of my fave TH-camrs together!!! Brilliant!
Cheers Dave, we had a great laugh. Good day fishing with great company . Tight lines my chum.

I wanted my prize, but the Seal had other ideas. Thank you for watching.
I grew up in Eyemouth. Is this next to the golf course?
Hi James, yes. South of the Harbour. Thanks for watching my chum .
@@northeastangling thanks for the answer. I used to fish in the same area.
