Leonard is one of those people that is very lovable but you know you couldn't stand to be around for long. It's a strange, sad category to fall in, yet we'll all know at least one person like this.
For the first time I realised the narrator is Andrew Sachs, the guy who played Manuel in Fawlty Towers. I never would have guessed it
Yeah, he did quite a few voiceovers for the many 'docusoaps' that were on back in the 90's and 00's, so he was pretty much the obvious choice to add some authenticity to this show.

Not sure if you caught it but that guy interrupting filming in the shop, was trying to buy poppers. Poppers in the UK were a popular legal high, mostly acting as a relaxant you'd inhale(sniff) the fumes for a strong but quickly fleeting "head high" BUT they had a special place in the gay communities for the relaxant effect... basically they would make bum lovin' easier 😂😂
I remember when kids in my school used to bring them in thinking they were proper badmen haha😂

I think this is one of the best things Peter Kay ever day. Every character in it is incredibly well painted and brought to life. Leanord is a tragic sad eccentric with a sinister undercurrent. He's a painfully well observed character.
As a child, I loved Spit the Dog. You could even buy him as a hand puppet. 🇬🇧✅

I saw Bob Carolgees when he had a fishing stall at Chatsworth House. People were hassling him, asking where Spit the dog was. He didn't seem very happy to be recognised 😊.

In special features all those people in the town weren’t extras they were real genuine people one person actually went up to him and asked if he wanted to pray together
Even though it’s not a very funny episode it’s still great and it’s actually a true story , Peter knew him

You saying about the preacher you saw. Reminded me about a time a highly religious American preacher started to preach in our town. The thing is our town isn’t known for being religious, our town is known for being the home to many many poor aggressive drunks and crackheads who doesn’t take kindly to someone who starts to shout out his beliefs in the centre of town. And start saying people who are gay or had a baby or even sex out of wedlock would go to hell. He was litually saying everyone in our town would go to hell. Cut a long story short, police got involved and arrested the preacher for illegally preaching without a licence. I mean this guy had a mic and a amplifier and was essentially calling everyone a sinner and would go to hell at full volume
