The video rightly condemns polygamy. That point is generally non-controversial among most people. The real issue is whether Smith was a hypocritical secret polygamist who vigorously opposed the practice in his public actions and writings? Or whether Smith was an honest monogamist who actively fought against polygamy, and was falsely accused of polygamy? That is the matter that should be investigated. Do do so, an honest researcher should study the numerous ways that Hyrum, Joseph, and Emma fought against polygamy through scriptural writings, early church publications, sermons, affidavits, legal actions, letters, non-tampered journal entries, and church courts. Don’t just rely on secondhand and thirdhand assertions, allegations, and accusations (many of them very late).
Mandatory monogamy and no fault divorce can be curses that can leave women and society vulnerable. If too many honorable women trust in God and call their honorable polygynist husband lord, that is representation of eternal power and divinty that Rome doesn't want you to have.
