@amarchouhan3181 congratulations. Yes, I can confirm this with certainty that I've taken care of mine and it's still kicking. It's a tablet, very very fragile so treat it like one. Let me know how it goes!
I've been using the Z13 as my gaming laptop for this entire year and it's an amazing device. I actually don't even use it as a laptop and just carry it as a tablet with a controller.
Am I the only one that finds tablets worse for portability? Like they are way less comfortable to use if you're lounging in a chair etc you have to hold them up or awkwardly try to prop them up at the right angle. Laptop just sits on your lap or whatever and the screen sticks up at a better hight.
Here is what you need to know: Both the Z13 and X13 are simply too heavy to use as a tablet, therefore u are better of buying something else. Such as the G14. Z13 battery life is too low. You can go for X13 if you get a good deal but try to get the nebula display. 1080p, even on a 13/14" device is bad, despite what youtubers will make you believe. The screen matters most as that is what you see.
i use my X13 as a tablet. i also use my Legion Go (without controllers) as my smaller tablet. part of my justification for buying them while already having so many devices is the ability to use them as tablets.
I have used the older z13 with the 3050 for my DJ laptop for over 2 years, and it has worked great and flawlessly for that. I just replaced it with a 2024 G14 with the 4070. The z13 is now my backup DJ laptop. And, I also use a Maschine Mk3 for live performance finger drumming when I D J. 😁
Wow, we probably had the same setups! What gear do you use for DJing? I used to have a Serato setup with Stanton 150s. Could never get into the CD turntables but when Serato Live came out, it changed everything!
@omrrex9994 I have used it with an Odysee stand in tablet mode. I had the onscreen track pad always up in the bottom right corner. And, there's a Taskbar shortcut for the onscreen keyboard if you need to search for something. Having it lay down in tablet mode angled towards you makes for a pretty cool esthetic.
how the z13 perform in DJing? im on an mac. im trying to switch to Windows platform. Mac is getting expensive... 😁😁 im planning to get a used Z13. thanks.
I wanted one of these so bad, but settled for a legion go and couldnt be happier. Have a diy egpu setup with a 3050ti plugged into the tv and its exactly what i need. Desktop pc for my AAA games and dnd night. Legion go for on the go and couch gaming.

Excellent video! All great, but you're reviewing a model that's almost 3 years old. It would be nice to see a review of the newer model (2023), which is better in all parameters!
I imagine under load it gets loud and starts to throttle. Powerhouses in a small form factor like this should ditch trying to be thin and make it chunky like a half an inch more . Give some breathing room .
I finally got rid of this misunderstanding. By the way, I had an Asus Flow 12 with an Intel 12th generation i9 processor. the design is pretty cool, but the cpu really doesnt make any sense, too much unnecessary power for a laptop/tablet that light (too much for the 4050 too).
I don’t think it is too much power. The 4050 laptop version outperforms the 2070 desktop version with the cpu being comparable to the 9700k. If you put two and two together in real life applications it’s a pretty good combination.

I wonder how the new Lunar lake will be for music production? I think that’ll be a big change. For me I stick with Apple M series because you still can’t beat it for its efficiency and you never have to deal with drivers. I’m biased because I use Logic and that thing is getting pretty crazy. The M4 series should have the most powerful laptop chip by far but will be expensive.
Do you know if it is compatible with a pencil? I have a Surface pro 6 and I only use it to draw. I have a gaming PC and sometimes I feel like playing in bed and I was thinking about upgrading.
Hey, thanks for the question. Yeah it is compatible with a regular touch capacitive pen OR the ASUS Tablet Pen. I have not tried it with a proprietary pen like a Microsoft Surface one but the apple pencil definitely doesnt work.
My experience with the 2023 model (QHD+, 165 Hz, 4050, 13900H): The design is amazing. Asus thought of everything. What's lacking is the software. Windows is still terrible to be used as on a tablet. Many times it freezes or fails to turn on (even BSOD) when switching modes. And Asus and Nvidia are fighting for the control over the GPU. If you're in "auto select" mode in Nvidia's settings, Asus still cannot turn off the dGPU when you unplug unless you specifically chose "optimus" mode. And even then, it often still fails to turn it off because many windows apps are still using the dGPU.
yikes, that sucks. I usually uninstall any bloatware from my new gaming devices to ensure I maximize that snapiness. Unfortunately the OS is still a limiting factor but as technology advances, these limitations become less and less where we are now just eyeballing those small FPS drops lol
@@paolocee then how do you use "advanced optimus"? do you just let the dGPU run while on battery? and let the display signal buffer thru the iGPU when you game plugged in?
Have anyone got issue yet my freeze time to time so you can't power it off you just have to let the power drain in order to reset power back up so I return my thar same week.

How exactly did you manage to get 7 hours of webbrowsing with this device? I own the 4060 version and I can't even watch a movie without it dying within 2 hours.. Not to mention gaming. And believe me I tried every battery save mode.
It needs better cooling and Oled screen. The worse about this tablet is the screen. I dont know about anyone who would rate this tablet so highly, i gane with eyes inches away from the screen, any light bleeds and uneven back lit areas greatly bother me especially after a couple hours.
Hello from Brazil Paolo !!!! I have a Zephyrus G14 2024 identical to yours with RTX 4060, where I live they don't sell high quality laptops like this, especially these gaming lines from Asus, I really like it and I don't have much to complain about, although today I'm a dad gamer ... I play a lot lying down in bed and I have to juggle things so that the g14 doesn't get too hot, I'm going to the USA on the 21st, I'm seriously thinking about buying the z13 because I think I could play with it on my lap next to the babies in the bed, or anywhere because from what I saw in the video it doesn't have air vents underneath, can you give me your opinion on whether this would be a waste of money? a versão que eu compraria seria a com a rtx 4060
Hey Italo! Sorry for the late reply! I hope you had the chance to consider getting one because I really love mine. Yes it does get very hot in bed but only when playing HEAVY AAA GAMES! For normal use or with lower end games, you’re fine in bed. Browsing and watching videos are 100% fine. If you do a bit more research, undervolting can also be a solution.
It’s the Aohi Starship battery with 40,000mah capacity and the Aohi USB c cable which shows the wattage it’s pumping out when charging devices. Check out my recent review of the “Aohi Magflash” which features these cables and battery.
@@paolocee actually it is low. It has to be 32gb, even for gaming. Windows 11 takes 8gb and some games consumes huge memory. If you run browsers and discord you r already out of memory. I want this device but this memory limitation does not fit me.
How is 1.1kg portable? How much RAM does it have? No benchmark no heat test? This is not a review this is paid commercial. Review your reviewers folks!
Depends on the situation I’m afraid. I have a handheld that I strictly set up as a good handheld device, meaning emulation, light steam games etc. the ROG Ally X will be similar; but if you want to do productivity as well, the Z13 is a better choice; bigger screen, keyboard…
yeah it was a pain. if you meant how to turn it on from the box, you need to remove the battery cover that stuck on the battery itself. In terms of turning it on when you already have it paired, I find that holding the pen down on screen tends to turn it on pretty well. Hope it works out for you 🤞
I agree for the most part. Plus, in a tablet form, thermal will also affect performance. Best to adjust expectations when knowing the physical limitations of this device
@@paolocee bruh, what do you mean "you can replace it unlike a traditional keyboard"? I have replaced factory keyboards for all my laptops by myself before. As for FlowZ13, there is an entire subreddit full of FlowZ13's keyboard not usable unless it is flat on a surface. Look it up dude. I don't disrespect you or ASUS or Flow Z13. But I will never buy ASUS products now. I just wanna let everyone know that Flow Z13's replacement keyboard is around USD200-300 even on Aliexpress. Therefore, you guys better hang-on to and/or extend your warranty like I did, though WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO. And fun fact, ASUS service centre reformats your whole window setup, just because "they can replace the keyboard unlike a traditional one". Have fun out there and enjoy it while you can!
This video comes a little bit late, this Rog Flow z13 was released 1 year and a half ago and this tablet/laptop seems very old and not worthy of what it offers. Nevertheless, I don't think it is a bad product, quite the opposite, the concept of Z13 is great but I don't know why Asus abandoned this product, I expect they release a newer version for 2025, but it should have a better CPU with E-cores, maybe ryzen AI HX370 to enhance the battery duration, with a better GPU like 4060 for standard units, (not use the 4050 anymore) and change their proprietary e-gpu connector to oculink or put 2 thunderbolt 4 at least (or thunderbolt 5?), OLED panel and better battery.
I got the RTX 4060 version a month or so ago, and it's very fast and handles all I throw at it for CAD and graphic design. It will rarely be used for gaming. Only downside is you cannot upgrade the 16 GB RAM and it occasionally freezes. Possibly related, as I type this with Autodesk Fusion, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Edge open (with 5 tabs), 85% of RAM is used, so already sailing close to the wind. (CAD is very memory intensive.) I think ASUS should release a new model with 32 GB RAM option, OLED display, ditch the eGPU port, move the Thunderbolt 4 port that's behind a rubber flap to next to the other TB4 port, see if they can knock a few mm off the thickness, offer a 5G (sim card) option, and maybe make the screen taller, like the Surface Pro series, although I appreciate a 16:9 display is suited to gaming, the target market for this machine. Oh, and allow the keyboard to connect with Bluetooth, like the new Surface Pro keyboard.
Yeah: I never play AAA games on battery. But if it’s longevity you’re talking about; we are in an age where tablets and devices are now harder to update your battery… unfortunately, the thinner the device; the harder it’ll be. We live in a disposable age which angers me!
3 hours of gaming, yeah. that i9 is a whopper for a tablet. Regular use is around 6-8 hours so definitely on the lower end for battery in this form factor.
Awesome design overpriced and underperforming. It is tick so i don't see why it could not house an RTX 4070 110w. For its price it should because external card costs as much as the base device.
taking a microscope to a screenshot I can see a flaw on the plastic that only could be seen on a microscope. Therefore. Asus will probably deny any warranty on that thing. (if you don't know the joke im making here. go look at gamers nexus' rog ally warranty video. the larger message is after what they put gamers nexus through. I just can't trust Asus with any purchase going forward. they aren't trustworthy.
I know and don’t disagree. When doing these videos, asus said that their service side is definitely taking a hit with these bad PR so they definitely need to fix that. However on the front end, where all the products are made, Asus is really trying hard to be at the forefront. Sadly there’s always two sides….
Battery will be useless within 2 weeks of gaming, hence becoming and expensive laptop that goes nowhere lol. Until they get these batteries to last longer, gaming on the go is useless. Will always need a power source after 20 min.

Hey, thanks for the question! Check it out here from one of my favourite accessory guys "Aohi" - th-cam.com/video/lyU8FhPAez4/w-d-xo.html
A lot of people are sleeping on this product
The 2023 model that is*
Yeah I know right?
Is there a version with AMD APU inside because I don't need discrete GPU? That would be great for music production. ATM, Intel is unreliable for me.
There's a snapdragon version that I'll be reviewing once I get it. Its oart of the ProArt series. Stay tuned!
Bro, can u find and review a pair for display extension?
Hey thanks, what do you mean exactly and I can probably take a look
I love this model or Asus rog 🎉
🥳
Wonder how the innards stand up to my new onexplayer 1x
Your onexplayer is probably better and more efficient probably 😂
@@motherflerkentannhauser8152 Google “ghelper asus rog”. I use this to manage everything on my GPU
Have anyone got issue yet my freeze time to time so you can't power it off you just have to let the power drain in order to reset power back up so I return my thar same week.
Haven't had that but it sounded like you needed a hard reset process done.
Next time this happens, just hold the power button till it turns off.
@paolocee I try holding down the power button it still didn't shut down or respond to it too...that was the 1st thing I did when it happen I hold it for so long waiting for it to shut down too ...it didn't happen
the song reminds me of tropico
💃🕺
Can you test elden ring and black myth wukong and let me know how it goes.
Sorry for the late reply; I’ll do a test in the future with Black Myth on the new ryzen chips. Stay tuned
Does it come with a pen? I've been thinking about getting a Z tablet to replace my gaming laptop and drawing tablet when I'm on long trips
Unfortunately no, I wish I got the pen to be honest. That would've been cool.
@@paolocee Thanks for the quick reply! It'd be nice if it shipped with an official stylus, but if there are pen options to buy for it I'll be plenty happy
@RTDice11 hey no worries! They're not that badly priced I think. Best of luck!
This thing needs an update
Yeah, got so much potential. I didn’t mention price but that may be a big reason it’s on the lower priority list.
handheld pc, is the new portable nowadays
@@someone-jh6hw Yes and No. Ive got both types and sometimes you wanna push it a bit more and handhelds aren't there yet.
@someone-jh6hw Until they are able to get Nintendo Switch size with decent performance then no.
Well, moores law will be over by around 2031, so idk if it ever will be 'there' unfortunately. 🤷🏽♂️@@threeequalsd4865
How exactly did you manage to get 7 hours of webbrowsing with this device? I own the 4060 version and I can't even watch a movie without it dying within 2 hours..
Not to mention gaming. And believe me I tried every battery save mode.
Not sure. I was on the plane with the lowest brightness and with G Helper, the lowest eco saving mode.
Could anyone recommend an sd card for this want more storage
This is what I use. Check out the SanDisk Extreme out for max read and write speeds: amzn.to/3BNBtdj
It needs better cooling and Oled screen. The worse about this tablet is the screen. I dont know about anyone who would rate this tablet so highly, i gane with eyes inches away from the screen, any light bleeds and uneven back lit areas greatly bother me especially after a couple hours.
Thanks for the feedback, I hear you on the screen! The lighting is definitely not the best.
price tag is 2k++ for rtx 4060, as much as I love gaming and able to buy it in a heartbeat, I still can't justify buying this 😂
@@leewalker23 can't disagree that this is a pricey item 😭
I feel like the review is incomplete without actually having and using the E-GPU that goes with it...
Nah, I don’t want to lug around an egpu as it defeats the purpose of portability. Just my two cents
what was that powerbank you were using?
The Aohi Starship - check out the review here th-cam.com/video/lyU8FhPAez4/w-d-xo.html
If you do a bit more research, undervolting can also be a solution.
what is the portable battery and cable ?
It’s the Aohi Starship battery with 40,000mah capacity and the Aohi USB c cable which shows the wattage it’s pumping out when charging devices. Check out my recent review of the “Aohi Magflash” which features these cables and battery.
@@paolocee ty!
slim + intel: hell no
Yeah I know. But check out my G14, it’s hella hot in a slim profile too
Does it have 16gb ram?
Yes it does. Most 'performance' based devices have at least 16GB nowadays. thanks for the question
@@paolocee actually it is low. It has to be 32gb, even for gaming. Windows 11 takes 8gb and some games consumes huge memory. If you run browsers and discord you r already out of memory. I want this device but this memory limitation does not fit me.
it would be much nicer if the next version got a wierless keyboard. That would stand out more compare a 2in1 laptop
You can prop it up in tablet mode and connect any Bluetooth keyboard you wish.
@@paolocee i know, but to have this Features build in like the "rog Mothership" ore the Aftermarket one for the surface line up.
would be nice
How is 1.1kg portable? How much RAM does it have? No benchmark no heat test? This is not a review this is paid commercial. Review your reviewers folks!
lol, I wish it was a paid commercial. 😂 but thanks for the view, mate.
Doesnt the red corner model have a 3050? Its the 2022 model.
The 2023 model with black corner tab has the 4050.
Correct! I was simply talking about the Z Flow in general since the upgrades were mostly internal.
If they could just make this again with amd version...
They just might 👀
Yo..What's that jam at the begining?

ROG Z13 vs ROG Ally X. Which is better?
Depends on the situation I’m afraid. I have a handheld that I strictly set up as a good handheld device, meaning emulation, light steam games etc. the ROG Ally X will be similar; but if you want to do productivity as well, the Z13 is a better choice; bigger screen, keyboard…
Is that the asus egpu plug?
Correct. Specifically the bottom one
how do i turn on the pen... sheesh
yeah it was a pain. if you meant how to turn it on from the box, you need to remove the battery cover that stuck on the battery itself. In terms of turning it on when you already have it paired, I find that holding the pen down on screen tends to turn it on pretty well. Hope it works out for you 🤞
The gtx 4050 in laptops are not true. They perform like 20 series
I agree for the most part. Plus, in a tablet form, thermal will also affect performance. Best to adjust expectations when knowing the physical limitations of this device
Good luck with the keyboard…
I have replaced my third in 3yrs though maybe a total of 3hrs every year typing on it…
Sorry to hear. At least you can replace it unlike a traditional keyboard. Thanks for the comment
Have fun out there and enjoy it while you can!
it's a scam. i got the X13 for almost a year now and the eGPU is still not available for purchase.
Sorry to hear
yo tuve una y se
calienta demasiado
Agree. The G14 from Asus is even hotter!
Is that the port for XG Mobile?
Yup! Never got the chance to get one but from what I heard, it works amazingly well. Thunderbolt would be enough to believe the claim 👍
Nice
1:15 what game was that
Sorry for the late reply! The game is called "Live Alive" and it's an amaaaazing game
Does this have battery bypass when plugged in?
Not really, it just keeps the battery charged and with smart charging, it retain a charge level of 80%
@@paolocee Ah okay thank you!
Bro playing quake 2 from the 90s haha
Quake II RTX version so it’s not the exact low rez from the 90s 😎
It is better to use this money to build a computer on a mini atx in a 4-liter case
👀perhaps
But does it run mobile games?
Pretty much does 👍
amd ryzen 4900hs? thats a mistake.
Kinda 🙊
Perfect? Barely gets to 1 hour of 'portable' gaming if u are away from the charger.. z13 user of almost 2 years here..😢
Yeah: I never play AAA games on battery. But if it’s longevity you’re talking about; we are in an age where tablets and devices are now harder to update your battery… unfortunately, the thinner the device; the harder it’ll be. We live in a disposable age which angers me!
wtf that price
Insane!
sooo its a surface pro???
But Better 👍
Much better the nitro 5 i5 and 3050ti… 4 ways exhaust and 2 fans.. more than enough
thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!
how about battery? if its just 3 hrs. for a tablet imma pass.
3 hours of gaming, yeah. that i9 is a whopper for a tablet. Regular use is around 6-8 hours so definitely on the lower end for battery in this form factor.
@@paolocee Thanks for this info, sir!

How long the battery will last for editing videos using Adobe Premier Pro?

Quiero uno
It’s very good but check out the G14 as well!
Awesome design overpriced and underperforming. It is tick so i don't see why it could not house an RTX 4070 110w. For its price it should because external card costs as much as the base device.
Yeah agreed 👍
taking a microscope to a screenshot I can see a flaw on the plastic that only could be seen on a microscope.
I got carried away with intro music... cha cha cha

Deve ser caro para um Carvalho....
Thanks~!
I had it before worst gaming tablet, i have rog ally and minisforum v3, much much better
Yeah, amazing how much we’ve moved forward with the new chipsets in handheld form!
Battery will be useless within 2 weeks of gaming, hence becoming and expensive laptop that goes nowhere lol. Until they get these batteries to last longer, gaming on the go is useless. Will always need a power source after 20 min.
@@DASOMILITIA true. But that applies to any device you wanna game on that's portable. Thanks for the feedback

stop using AAA for 4050. bruh I can't even run RD2 for 60fps with 1440p.
