About time Taylormade showed the lefties some UDI love. I recently ordered a 2i driving iron from PXG and love it. Would have gotten a P790 but no lefties....

Would love to see a comparo of the TM options for Matt or Ian's 250-270yd distance. Sim Max Hybrid, P790 UDI, both of these Sim UDI/DHY offerings, and even something crazy like the 18-degree Sim Max OS 4-iron. Compare all the different shot shapes.

Those new driving iron are amazing when fitted with the right shaft. Since I have my HMB 2 Iron in the bag it brings me a shot I didn't have before. They are deadly weapons even at my average 105mph driver swing speed!!!
Great way to test out the UDI off the tee and from the fairway. Of course getting the auto putt doesn't hurt....well done as always.
I was watching this video with literally 2 minutes to spare on an eBay auction for a 3 UDI(lefty 😎). Glad you guys came through with the quick insight to confirm my impulsive decision! Lol.. Any how I ended up grabbing her for $125 in MINT condition!! Thanks as always Ian & Matt for the excellent content!

I’m a junior golfer that has been looking for a replacement for my gapr high because that club isn’t right for my game and I think this club is the one I need

The bonded gapr lo is an awesome stick... granted you can find one in a lie you like. I got a tour issue that is fairly flat and its the best driving iron I've played, in fact its the only one I've been able to keep in the bag for any bit of time. So that said, I look forward to this UDI

Thanks for answering my question animy hybrid yesterday. This may suit me more i hit about 2dn on hybrid. I currently flight 4iron down and use hybrid when i need to hit it standard off the tee

I know you guys have tried most of the Ben Hogan lineup but I recently purchased the utility iron in 18 degrees to replace my 2 iron. I think it’s awesome. The look and feel. You should give it a try.
I've held onto a DHy Proto from Adams for years... Can't find anything better/more versatile. Looking forward to your DHy impressions!

Been using this for 5 months with a hrdus smoke yellow. I'm hitting it really well, but the yellow is a little stiff in the mid section for me and i tend to draw (even hook) this on a lot. Hopefully the BLUE will be released soon, have blue in D and 3w and is best shaft I've ever played

I would love to see a comparison between the very 1st tour preferred UDI and this new SIM UDI. Would love to see how improvement in technology has affected ball speed trajectory and spin rates
minimum speed for a steep swing to get the best purchase out of a UDI? Would love to see if it is something I should consider over a 19 degree hybrid with my current setup.

If these has the same tip as the gapr which is 0.370"... should we fit it with a hybrid shaft or iron shaft with paralel tip?
Been wanting to upgrade my trusty titleist 712u 2 iron which I still crush, as I play on windy links (brora) lower the flight the better so sim udi or p790 udi? I can't decide

What's the correct ball position for this club both on and off a tee? And is there a recommended tee height if you use it off the box?
As a leftie myself, it is good to see more premium club manufacturers having regard to LH players. It is, at least, good that we have much the same choices as RH players

When will we see the testning and discussion of the DHY? It was mentioned in the Jpx live that Ian is thriller about it.
Personally I am curios about shafts and the big difference in stock shaft weight between the two. Would TM offer the thump shaft in the DHY since I think that is the better option for me?
Currently use mizuno h5 1iron would like to see some comparisons with other clubs & or different compound shafts.
My buddy has this Taylor Made Sim UDI 2 iron 1st time I hit it carried 300 yards and ran about 30 or so

LOVE the videos. Please use the driving range less, or start there to establish the #s, then transition to a hole. I like to see how you two work the ball for a realistic hole.
Those long irons are tough for 90% of us. Hybrids are a true blessing.
With peak height being important in a fitting, what would you say would be decent peak heights for a relatively standard set of irons and the 2 udi?
When you see Matt and Ian drive longer with a UDI than you do with your driver.. :( LOL
I am under the impression that its easier to hit bombs on their sim. Matt has a 284 average drive on arccos. Yes it is good. But no where near what we see in the vids.
@@nicolasbitcoin2549 it's easier to hit bombs when hitting into a sim or driving range as there is no pressure to aim and you can hit it as hard as you can .
Luke Reeve sure is but it seems *really* easy to hit long on their Sim config. According to arccos I hit 10 yards further then Matt, and I was under the impression that he hit way harder than me when it's the opposite

Luke Reeve i think it's probably just as you said being inside with no stress. But they can mess with some setting like altitude and temperature. So the conditions they put in are probably perfect for hitting bombs

ian/matt, how does the sim udi compare to the p790 udi (and original for that matter) in terms of FEEL alone? I know feel is subjective, but personally didn’t fall in love with p790 feel enough (I went with Srixon u65)

Working on something new with LC Matty? Looks like you aren’t shifting weight to your left side as much when you take the club back, trying to stay more centered?
I'd argue new utility irons are as 'sexy' in the bag as new drivers these days.

Can Callaway cf16 apex forged irons be flattened an additional 2degrees after already having been flattened 2 degrees off of their white setting of 2 degrees upright from factory? Thank you
