  • Mumbai is richest city in India and the 12th richest city in the world. It’s full of millionaires and billionaires.
In my last video we explored the poorest area of Mumbai, Dharavi, which is also the biggest slum in India
You can watch that video here:
➡ Inside India's Biggest Slum 🇮🇳 (Extreme conditions) • INSIDE THE BIGGEST SLU...
But in today’s video we will explore the RICH and MODERN side of Mumbai.
We will visit Malabar Hill, Altamount road (Billionaire Row), lower Parel, BKC and more..
We will also visit some of the most popular and touristic areas of Mumbai such as Marine Drive, Gateway of India and The Taj Palace.
Let me know down below your thoughts about Mumbai.
    Thanks for watching 🙏🏻🇮🇳

I haven't been to India since 1996. I was a woman alone, traveling with a backpack and Lonely Planet Guidebook, and the changes I've seen via videos such as yours are really amazing. One thing that strikes me since then is the growth of wealth in that country. It looks like some of it has trickled down and a more prosperous middle class is rising. What shocked me the most about India was all the homeless living on the streets, making cardboard shelters by rivers in the countryside and everywhere they weren't driven off. I didn't realize I was seeing a preview of what's now becoming a familiar sight in America -- homeless people everywhere. The economy has shifted again towards places with lots of excess people who will work in factories for pennies, relocating wealth once again. I'd go back if I could, but NOT alone and with a backpack at my age of 75.

In India, there are incredibly beautiful and stunning places like Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, and Lakshadweep Islands. With great past and promising future Mumbai has it all, people move with flow, and their is only one corn of Mumbai is it become very hot city! due to unplanned devlopment, so heat can't able to escape and get trapped 🪤 within the reach of hights so that why it humidity here. Isn't that what white people like to see ? Poor miserable people living miserable life in India ? There's a reason why internet is filled with such kind of videos. People like to watch that. It seems white people come to India just to film poor slums and ghettos. Most of the people outside India hold this distinct image of India being a shithole slum holding 1.4B people and these white TH-camrs play a big part in it. They won't explore what's good, only what's bad.

Hi Gabi! Loved your comparison between both sides of Mumbai. The fourth part, Fort area is filled with ancient buildings like you pointed out. They are relics and buildings from British colonial period hence they are looking like churches. The office that you saw was the Mumbai Government Office which is popularly known as Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika (BMC). The book street you see is very popular in Mumbai. In BKC, Mukesh Ambani has started a mall known as Jio World Drive. It is a bit on the expensive side but you should visit if and when you visit Mumbai next time. You should also try the metro in Mumbai and other cities which is just like subways in other countries.

Slum clearance has been done succesfully around the world, noticeably in London after the 2nd world war but the difference between India and elsewhere is that the Indian Govt has dumped, yes, pretty much dumped the poor people in remote places where they dont have money to buy bus tickets to get back to the City to work. The idea of slum clearance is not to dump people but to give them space in the City itself so people can go to work and good schools should be created to give equal opportunities. "Equal opportunities" and India dont go together.
