    I am working on my cardio currently. But thankfully I'm starting at a Community College 12 week Academy here in TN, that's not paramilitary style (self sponsor). They do 45 minutes of pt each morning.
    However, I have been told by many that they put alot of emphasis on the academics instead. It's a "gentlemen's academy" "laid back environment, non stress". They build you up over the weeks with the one goal of passing the obstacle course on week 11 to graduate. They have had a 99% graduation rate since they started in 1990.
    Becoming a Police officer has been my Dream Career since I was 6 years old. I'm 28 now.

    Very helpful video - Please create specific workout videos to help us applicants prepare for Camden’s academy. The deck of card workout video is a great idea and a must! Thank you

    I was considering purchasing a weighted vest, about 20 lbs of weight on it. Would you recommend me doing my runs/push ups and other calisthenics with that before I go in the academy? I am sure this will make my push ups and burpees much easier without it while in the academy. Thoughts??

    How do you deal with homesickness during the weekdays while in a 12 week college police academy (staying in a hotel/studio apartment 5 hours from home and Family) (Going home every weekend); any advice?

    • @Nrivera9123
      @Nrivera9123  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      During the week I doubt you will have time to be home sick bc u will be so busy lol just stay focused and enjoy your time off bc it will go quick

      @@Nrivera9123 True....... Somebody else told me the same thing; Idk how you know, but they knock out 560 hours in 12 weeks. I attended orientation today, and received the 12 week schedule. Some days go from 5:45AM to 9PM. The 22ND is Day 1 week 1. Graduation is set for April 12, 2024

    Good video. So on a scale of 1 to 10 what would you give it? Also, any tricks on things to eat to help with muscle pain, get through long runs, etc?

      Prob a 6-7 tbh 8 some days. Best advice is stay hydrated as much as possible, stretch every night/day and get good sleep

      Working out wasn’t really a issue. It was more the uncertainty going into PT and I didn’t really stretch or take care of my body how I should have so towards the end I was hurting lol

    Do you have to do sprints and a distance run in the normal day?

    • @Nrivera9123
      @Nrivera9123  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah pretty much. If we had a day where we did more sprints we still ran a little bit before and after
