- Here is an exclusive interview of High Court Ex Judge Sri Sravan Kumar. In this video he made very interesting comments on AP 3 Capitals Bill.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court has put the brakes on three capitals in state and granted status quo on Governor Gazette. The high court has issue stay on Decentralization of development and CRDA repaeal bill till August 14 and directed the government to file a reply counter. The next hearing was adjourned to August 14. Amaravati farmers along with JAC and others have filed petitions in the high court seeking stay on the gazette issued by the governor.
The petitions were heard by a three-judge bench of the High Court. Counsel for the petitioners argued in court that the bills were unconstitutional. Shyam Diwan and Muralidhar were present on behalf of the petitioners. Last Friday, the governor approved the AP administration decentralization bill and the CRDA repeal bills. The government is also preparing to relocate government offices to Visakhapatnam. At a time like this, the granting of status quo by the High Court has come a blow to the Jagan government.

Sir, If the courts decide the case in favour of farmers and govt. honour the judgement and keep the capital at Amaravathi only without any further development, what will be the position of the farmers, beaches the formers demand is only to keep the capital in Amaravathi only
If the judgement is at high court or supreme court then why the state got bifurcated since so many people have invested their funds and also Govt established infrastructure everything at Hyd then during that where are you and where is voice during that time ?So we will not allow everything development at one side if this continues surely we will ask separate state and we will raise separate petition
The flawless Constitution of India written by the Baba Saheb Ambedkar categorically stated one Capital for every State. The word "Capital " is in singular form and plural form. To amend the constitution to change/alter it requires Parliament approval and in case the ammendment is major, it requires majority of States. Retd Justce Shravan Kumar who announced umpteen verdicts during his tenure, had categorically said that the decision of three capital issue will not stand in the eye of law. I am failed to understand as to why Legal experts are silent and unable to advise the CM.
