What changes would you like to see, big OR small? Lay it on us, we're stuck inside all day and need something to talk about! Also I do know that you can get counters for your house, but you still have to find those specific items. I'm saying there should be basic, neutral counters to use for any purpose at any time.
I know the writing in AC isn't supposed to be outstanding. But for the love of God Please make jocks talk about literally anything else besides working out. There's so much you could do with them. Maybe the jock personality type is really caring and protective of your character? That's my fave idea at least
One of my biggest things is that I really really wish there weren’t so many limitations on what you could do when you have a visitor. My dream for this game is that I could just casually leave my gate open and have my friends come and go as I’m doing my stuff, but you can’t do ANYTHING when someone’s over. No placing, moving or picking up furniture, no landscaping, no talking to Nook or Isabelle, not even donating to the museum. For me, it totally kills the casualness of the multiplayer. Every visit has to be a dedicated event.
I understand why they limit placing/moving items, because it stops people from fencing visitors into an inescapable prison, but they could just make the 'rescue service' free for visitors, or at least limit it to not being able to alter areas that another player is actually in. A "someone is tidying up inside" dialogue that pops up if someone tries to visit while the house decorator tool is being used, and the person decorating could get a "knock knock!" message to let them know someone wants to come in.
@@Potassiumkloride you can leave the island at any point by pressing - and selecting the go home option, so being imprisoned doesn't actually trap you on that island.
LivtheFlame I’ve had the same exact thoughts as you, that Nintendo could’ve potentially put so many restrictions with multiplayer as to prevent trolling/griefing people and their islands, but like Chimney said in his reply to you, visitors to an island are at literally no risk, you can leave an island at any time by pressing - and it’s impossible for people to trap you/take anything in your inventory. On the other hand, perhaps they introduced so many restrictions so that visitors can’t grief islands by picking up and placing furniture, and terraforming other peoples islands. Of course all of these issues can easily be solved by a permissions system, which I would like a LOT better than the whole Best Friends App they have right now. They need a permission system where you can control universally all of what visitors have the ability to do while on your island.
One thing I wish the game would alow when visting other players island is able to buy items from their catalouge. I have visited so many island and if I wanted an item they have they would have to drop it to make me catalouge it. I want to be able to buy the item from the nook mile atm and get to be send to my town
MERCHIODOS yeah I also think we should be allowed to access the ABD in others’ islands. What’s the point of an ATM if there’s only one of them that you can access?
same here i know i have to keep going about 5 times daily to get everything i want and because its not going to my inventory i sometimes buy multiples of the same item by mistake.
Also, it would be nice if Isabelle’s morning announcements were a little more informative. Like, she could give a weather forecast and fishing recommendations or say who the guest visitor is for the day.
this would be fantastic! right now it feels like literally nothing ever happens because isabelle never has anything to report. i love her new quirky and personal dialogue but i feel like i've heard all of it and it's just become repetitive at this point. hearing about her personal life is fun and all but it would be way more enjoyable if it didnt happen every single day
I would like the "can you tell me about this" option in Blather's Dialog to be based on your CRITTERPEDIA, not your inventory. I donated a lot of fishs and insects at once, but I don't want to do everything again. The best would be to be able to ask Blather to do a "tour" of the museum, explaining each species, interesting facts, on fish, insect and fossils that was donated. I dunno, I think it's too big for a simple update but that would be soooo cool. And everything in this video would be great too !
@@chase6727 While I liked that feature as well, I prefer Blathers charming dialogue when he educates me about the species. I just wish that it was more accessible like the comment had said :/
Some things I've always wanted: -Being able to climb onto the loft/bunk beds. - Being able to interact more with pools/hot springs - Diagonal fence placement
There is a MASSIVE ISSUE that nobody is talking about and I don’t know why... your first 5 villagers will never have their true houses... Ever. This is a massive oversight and there is no good way to fix it as you can’t donate wallpaper and flooring. I for one recently discovered my absolute love for Snake. I love him so much I made an entire Three layer high Waterfall Around his house, I then noticed that he still has the shack that he started with after getting out of his tent. There is no remedy, snake will always have a boring plain house that does not fit his personality whatsoever, He always talks about lifting and exercise with no equipment to speak of. Same goes with my favorite Popstar Puddles and the Adorable Bear June, their houses will always be shacks compared to the late arrivals. While my house is complete they have not progressed in the slightest. In a game about Cosmetics, this is a MASSIVE Oversight on Nintendo’s part. If I ever want Snake in his true glory I need to kick him out, buy an amibo card or buy dozens of nook tickets for the CHANCE that he shows up again. Nintendo Fix this.
Oh! I was wondering why some animals had generic houses and others had interesting and unique ones!! I never made the connection between the new arrivals and the original five villagers.
The villagers sometimes talk more once you've hit 'friend' status with them. But most of the time it's still 2 or 3 boxes of dialouge. I miss the togetherness feeling of the old games, when the villagers had a *real* presence, when the game *couldn't* live without them. Now you get so busy with everything you kinda forget to check up on them and make friends.
@@palex00_ it seemed super random to me - it was a few days after I was able to give gifts for some, and more than a week for others. and one I've had from the start I still haven't reached the friend stage with. I wish there was a way to check it, or a bigger difference when you become friends with them. at the moment it seems like a bit of a redundant addition unfortunately :(
Erin Cuthbert yeah me too I was playing games with my villager apple one day and the next I can’t give her gifts and her dialogue is different i wish we could check
Also it’s not fun when your just trying to have a convo with them and they’re like I’ve seen you so much today or did you need something like they don’t want us to talk to them
MAKE! FENCES! CUSTOMIZABLE! I was so excited to have white picket fences only to be disappointed that I can't customize any fences and am stuck with the ugly default browns and greys.
I've resulted to using the wooden stakes and customizing those white to act as fences. The only downside is they don't count as fences and are more time consuming to out down
You missed one of my biggest wishes: a shopping cart for buying clothing. When there’s two items for the same equipment slot that both have 6 alt colors, it’s extremely tedious to have to enter and leave the changing room 12 times to buy one of each.
I'm totally there with you, had to walk in and out because I wanted both versions of the steampunk outfit. It's a hassle that just doesn't need to exist. Just let me pick clothing with button A and if I want to wear something out give me that in a seperate menu option afterward. Mabel: Do you want to wear any of that out? Option; yes/no yes - > list of all chosen clothing no -> done
@@VioletSatyr yes!! the other day i wanted to buy three different colors of the same shoes... but i ended up buying two of the same color cause my dumbass forgot what color i just bought before 🙄
I've said it before and will say it again: the only thing I truly want in an AC game is the ability to turn things on a 45-degree angle. Especially now that we can have furniture outside! Who puts a beach chair perfectly perpendicular to the ocean? Chairs and swings and Gulliver items especially would look good on angles. And for that matter, diagonal. paths! Why is this not a thing? I can't have a diagonal path along my diagonal river or put a round track around my lake.
SyncVenn YES! This is my first time with an AC game and it drove me completely insane that I couldn’t turn chairs 45 degrees and everything looks so out of place without it.
I was so excited for the wand feature when I first saw it. Save outfits and change into them on the fly? Awesome! But then came the limitations. While wearing a wand outfit, you can't put on new clothes, edit any wand outfit, or enter the dressing room. Why can't the wand just have the clothing items stored on it and then they're actually on you when you put them on? And also the tool ring should have the tools stored in them as well. Every player in the world is going to designate almost their entire first row to their tools. It's been like this in every game and I'd really hoped there'd be a special tool inventory this time. Edit: One more thing. Let me stack those dang manila clams. They have no purpose other than to turn them into fish bait anyway, so why not let them stack like the bait can?
> And also the tool ring should have the tools stored in them as well. Make it an option. I have really bad Joycon drift (plan to get new ones next month) so the ring is useless. But if I have an empty slot on the wheel, it gets slotted in. Making the tools unavailable to me under your system.
@@Rot8erConeX you can actually send in the joycon with the problem to Nintendo and they will fix it for free. They legally have to due to a lawsuit and it's a constant issue with the console. They either fix it and if they can't, they will replace it. It saved me money sending it in, since I have pro controllers. Take advantage of Nintendo's mistakes :)
The clams are un-stackable because they are coded as critters in the game, as a separate "seafood" section of the critterpedia which was mostly removed from the code before the release. Likely diving was planned and then removed before final release, or is partially complete and planned for a future update.
Something I haven’t seen people talk about is rugs outside. I know it’s a small feature but I would love to put rugs outside. It really doesn’t make sense when you consider it was a feature in Pocket Camp but not in New Horizons.
i thought the animals were gonna be more interactive with the outside furniture the way they use them in pocket camp if u put the half pipe they skate etc
Alex H Same. I really think there needs to be an update dedicated to better fleshing out the animals through actions, dialogue, etc. They’re quite boring still. It’s an improvement over past games but still needs some further development.
people have patterns to mitigate this and some of them are super nice! take a dive on the internet. still I get what you mean it should be simple... like nothing in this game... lol
Speaking of pathing, I wish they'd let us have the paths connect to the entrance of the museum/nooks like it does for the houses. Seems weird to have one but not the other
What I would like: when your visiting a friends island, I want a marker on the map to show where your friend is. I can’t tell you the amount of times where I’m like: “where r u”
I wish we were able to build a “blank” building. We could decorate the exterior of the building to make it look like whatever we want like a gym, restaurant, plant shop or whatever else. Then we could fill the interior with related items!
Oh my god I would love this. And depending on the items inside Jocks would be into the gym stuff, Normal villagers would be into the writing materials, etc
@@Edwin-cq4io that would require you to make enough money to upgrade a second house and also require you to drop everything you need on the ground, then switch to a different profile to place it inside. It's extremely tedious.
I’m surprised at how no one is talking about the lack of villager interactivity . And I’m not just talking about more text either. What ever happened to the errands and quests villagers would send you on in return for clothing or furniture etc... BRING IT BACK😤
I agree, and it’s not just that, I think that villagers are less friendly in general than they were in new leaf. I know a lot of people wanted to bring back mean villagers but I don’t think they’re mean necessarily, they just get annoyed when you talk to them more than once in 24 hours. In new leaf I really felt like they were my best friends, but new horizons kind of killed the charm.
Villagers still have quests. I agree, they are WAY more rare, but there still there. One of my villagers, Rex, played a treasure hunt game with me. Also, I always have villagers asking me for items and asking me to deliver items. Not to mention some Villagers ask for lost items. I do agree, it's not as common, but it's still there. Edit: I've also been seeing a lot of lost items that my villagers are asking for. Also, my villagers randomly come up to me and give me gifts, or ask me to buy something from them.
i feel that, although in new leaf the first line of dialogue would be "can you deliver this?" or "can you get me some fruit?", at least it was for me and i didn't really like it. now i sort of miss doing stuff for my villagers but i rarely get any delivery tasks and only got the treasure hunt game like twice :///
Not being able to move a building a few inches over because the game thinks said building is an obstacle in the way of itself is absolutely terrible design and needs to be patched out.
I really really want that villager update. I don’t even care if they add more villagers. I just want them to fix the dialogue. I always talk to my villagers and they keep saying the same things over and over. It’s like two of my villagers are the same person. Bob and Walker never stop saying the same things which really drains the personality. Same with my other villagers :(
at home muliplayer is disappointing. Its not split screen so you have a "leader" and a "follower" so you have to stay in the same area. Follower can use tools but cannot access inventory, and anything they pick up goes into the recycle bin. You can swap lead but that doesn't really improve the limitations. You also can not go to another island together, or open your gates to friends which bums me out because my S.O. and I wanted to host 'parties' but now we have to take turns having people over. We can never play as one group.
Yeah, no real reason for the recycle bin. You can open up the emotes panel, so why not a smaller inventory? It's about taking up space, but the emotes wheel is pretty big too. May as well add inventory for both people.
Or the fact that progression is locked behind whoever played the game first. My gf and I had to come to an agreement because only she can unlock new things.
@@jjjorp Yeah, that's a huge drag, and we're adults, how bad will that suck for muli children families, 'oh pick one of you to be in charge of the whole game and the rest of you can half play.' If they want a one island limit, as the Res. Rep. I should be able to 'premote' other players to equal status. Then mom and the oldest kid can have creative control but your 6y/o won't be able to mess up the island completely.
@@jaida4547 Am multi children family(8) I'm 2nd oldest and got the game for little sister and I to play together. She played first and named the island and is mayor :/ Now idk when they villagers give her assignments unless she specifically tells me. We missed two days of progression cuz she thought I could also do the nook brother's assignment
@@jaida4547 It's really baffling that Nintendo does things like this. Just letting us have the option would be much appreciated and make everyone's lives more fun.
I just... Really want moving villagers out to be easier and more straightforward. I don’t want to have to wait an entire month of not talking to them for them to decide to leave. Also for villagers to show up in the campsite naturally more often.
Also let us choose who to suggest to move out if I want to replace a villager with a random camper. I don't have amiibo cards, and I don't want to get rid of potentially one of my favourite villagers just because the game went give me a list. Unbelievable.
Okay, here we go: - The Able Sisters dressing room NEEDS a cart option. Having to exit and re-enter over and over again because I want to buy five different hats or a skirt as well as pants is a huge pain. - I don't need to see a grid so much for the shovel as I do for terraforming/path layouts. I don't know how many times I've gone over the same spot I just did laying out a path because I couldn't tell where the position of my character was. - Some sort of ability to see how close your tools are to breaking. I'll be honest: I hate the tool durability in this game. I like the crafting aspect but your fishing rod or slingshot breaking adds literally nothing to the game for me and is just an annoyance more than anything. I'd rather it go all together but if it MUST stay at least give some indication of when the tool is going to break so I'm not in the middle of digging up flowers only to have my shovel explode forcing me to go craft another one. Oh, and golden tools shouldn't break at all because that is STUPID. - The ability to store flowers. Trees I can let slide but when you need to move a massive amount of flowers where redecorating your island and you're not quite sure where you want to relocate them to yet it would be so much easier if you could store them, especially since they're probably more plentiful than trees since they take up less space so they will fill your inventory really fast.
And I TOTALLY feel you on the island variety. I've gotten the tarantula island and hybrid flower island literally once each. For the most part it's native fruit/native flowers with a river. It's made island hopping not worth the Nook Miles for the most part.
i agree 100%. jesus christ, shopping for clothes is awful. making new outfits is one of my favorite things in the game, but they make it so you have to go back and forth and try everything on just to get different colors! why?? and yes, i hate the tools breaking. i wouldn't care if it was like once a week, each tool. but it's not! it's like two or three times a day, and i only play a few hours a day. real tools don't even break that much! and it just a big annoyance that it happens at all. it's extra annoying that the gold tools aren't even unbreakable. like what is even the point????
An update idea for nook miles tickets: give us a chance to get an island on the other hemisphere down the line. They dont have to be fancy, but it would be really neat to get an island in another season as a rare variant.
How about adding more furniture sets? Ironwood is literally the only good set I've seen and the recipes are hard to find. They put every appliance they could think of into the game, but give you no tables to put them on. It's pretty ridiculous.
I actually can't believe there aren't mini games in this NH? There was in New Leaf, and i loved playing them with my friends online - It's so bizarre that they've left this feature out i honestly believe that it 100% will be included in an update in the future!
What would be great idea for some games, since we have goals, basketball hoops and other similar sport/game items, is if they allowed us to play them. Actually play football or basket ball with friends! Even make a scoreboard that actually keeps track! Wouldn’t take too much programming to kick a ball around, though actual basket ball might take some doing...
The big thing that I'm disappointed about in this game, is that there's basically no errands in the game?? In previous games villagers would give you gifts to give to other villagers or ask to visit your house and as far as I'm aware there's none of that??? Also hide and seek? Where has that gone? I've certainly not seen it yet anyway. In the gamecube AC you could ask for an errand whenever you speak to a villager, and since then they've been slowly reducing it and now its basically hardly in the game! Even the few errands that are in the game are not great, if you find a lost item the first villager you talk to will tell you whos it is, i want to go and ask all my villagers! It can't just be me who is disappointed by all this? Errands are my fave part of the game!
Rebekah Haggar I believe I did end up playing a sort of hide and seek with a vilager where they buried a secret preset for you somewhere in town and you had a time limit to find it. I’ve also had plenty of errands to run, but I agree they should make that stuff a little more common.
I think it's there but it's a bit harder to happen idk a villager once asked me to deliver a gift to another but that was the only time. But yeah the villagers look less 'natural' in NH, their dialogues get repetitive and all villagers of the same personality type talk about the same thing over and over again, feels like they lost their uniqueness
I've done a couple errands but you're right, they should be wayyy more common like they used to be. Also, bring back time capsules. And hide and seek definitely! I miss it so much! Also wish they'd add more games like that, like what if my villagers wanted to play tag?
1: It would be nice if turnip prices could be seen on the little sign outside nooks cranny which already show today's hot item. 2: I would like to be able to access my house inventory without going into my house (like from a little box standing just outside the house). 3: I want to drag Blathers around in the museum so he can tell me about some of the things I have found for him. 4: No loading between the rooms in my house please. 5: When putting down plots of land I want to be able to move around while it show the outline.
@@VicSinclair2000 I assume you mean that a transition between rooms are needed because of the music and not that actual loading is needed because of the music. I'm somewhat fine with the transition which already is there (although I think you have to walk pretty far into the dark "tunnel" between the rooms before you actually change room. What I'm complaining about is how long time it takes. I don't think it would be that hard to load all the data of your house in the local memory as you enter your house, it is after all far smaller than the island that you normally walk around on (without loading screens). That said if they actually had loaded the whole house when inside your house then they could also make the transitions between rooms a little less... clunky. They could do something simple like when you enter another room then the other room become transparrent and disappear while the other room appear. At the same time music of one room will quit down while the other music start.
I would also like to be able to shift buildings by like 1 square. Like if the building intersects with where it currently is, it shouldn't matter because it's the one moving. I've wasted a lot of bells because a house is one tile too high, and I had to move it away before putting it where I want
@@obunnybee absolutely, i have to do that with my shop now because when moving it to where i wanted i miscalculated where i wanted it and only noticed after it was built
I'd be totally on par with having counters/shelves in the house. I'm repeatedly getting things that would make for an awesome kitchen, but without proper counters, it just isn't looking right.
Regarding seeing behind stuff: The game already has a 90-degree straight-down camera angle which it automatically switches to when using the Island Designer behind a building or cliff. It'd be an absolutely trivial patch to allow us to use this angle whenever we want.
This is the one that really irritates me. The camera preset is programmed into the game, just let me push up on the right stick to get there whenever I want, instead of restricting it the Island Designer. It'd make alignment with the shovel much easier. Heck, even the Island Designer doesn't let you use it on-demand which is pretty annoying by itself.
AGREED. Also why can't I have it set to the looking up camera view and still walk around without it forcing me back to the default? That bugged the heck out of me in New Leaf and they still didn't change it in this.
They should just add like a 30° tilt which only lasts as long as you push the stick to the left/right or don't move. This way you won't get people playing in full on tilt mode all day which they don't seem to want, but you could still see behind objects when needed.
Gotta add blathers blathering to plaques in the museum. I wanna know more about these things when I'm actually taking time for the museum and not just doing chores.
cookiebandit18 I know!! It makes no sense to not have an option pop up that says “learn more?” Then you hit yes or no! Also add more to the Critterpedia, it’s so bare bones right now. No measurements, no eating habits, no fun facts. So lame.
Having it right on the plaque of the creatures in question just makes sense, just like you'll see plaques you can read around real life zoos and aquariums.
I'd even go for sort of audio tour kind of deal that you can pay for or only do once you've completed the museum exhibit. *you will now be seeing a sturgeon. These yada yada yada...*. It'd make for an interesting activity to do with friends who come and visit.
@@brendan308 in new leaf they removed blather's blathering which was a huge complaint so they went back to the old way. i agree a mix of the two would be so much better!
Two ideas I've had while playing for a few weeks: 1) I wish I could run around while the camera is on horizontal view like I can when it's on overhead view. It's annoying to have to run, check where the balloon is, run, check again, or check every 10 mins if there's a shooting star. 2) I wish wardrobes could actually store clothing items so you don't have to put it in storage. And you can sort your clothes by dresser. I.e. fav outfits in bunny dresser, themed outfits in black dresser etc. 2.5) Safes and other box items should allow you to store items again apart from storage. I'd love to have a box by my workbench that I can just shove all my materials in so I don't have to go into main storage and move them to pockets and then go to my outside work bench.
Yes please... let me buy more than one outfit without having to go in and out of the change room multiple times... Also it would be nice to have a "# in storage" in the store screen somewhere so that I know that I own them already.
That would be so nice. I like to buy one of every color for my catalog and there's been times I've bought duplicates because I keep popping in and out and I have no real indication of what clothes I've already purchased.
I love this game so much... but man, I find myself going "I wish..." so much. "I wish you could path water/cliff corners" "I wish you could path water/cliff edges" "I wish you could create diagonal paths" "I wish items had diagonal rotations" "I wish buildings could be placed along half spots on the grid like furniture" "I wish paths could be joined into more stuff like the plaza, or other path types" "I wish we could decorate water" "I wish we could decorate cliffs" "I wish we could expand the claustrophobic rooms of the house" "I wish was here" (cut fruits, cut activities, etc.) "I wish was streamlined" "I wish they didn't make the furniture items you order with Nook Miles color locked to your island." (just let us customize them in a game about customizing, PLEASE) etc etc etc A lot of what you said in the video was agreeable too. It's fascinating how a game can be so fun and crammed with stuff, yet so sorely lacking.
@@lorettabes4553 I've BEEN a Nintendo fan lmao :P Pokemon is basically dead to me too, but I don't have the energy or desire to be a #BringBackTheNationalDex kind of person I just hope AC is a live content game at this point, and doesn't go the way of the Mario Maker 2 Dodo
@@VirtualScallop Same! I've never wanted to sell any of my games, but I haven't touched Shield in months. The fact that I even want to sell it speaks volumes to me. Pokémon is just so flawed.
My tiny patch: Press a button to automatically sort your on-hand inventory, just like you can in Stardew Valley. I'm so sick of dragging my tools back to the top of the box when they break and I remake them.
@@liambrett2057 but then when I craft a shovel again, the new one will be at the top of my inventory at the first available slot instead of beside all my other tools at the bottom. I just want all my items grouped so I can quickly and easily see what I have on hand.
Also, can they please just add some of the older furniture sets? Seriously, there are actually very few limited matching items so everything just ends up a mash of random stuff hoping they look good together.
Decorating your house is a little boring now. The furniture sets were fun and made the place look more coherent. Personally loved Cabin furniture. Also, it would give all villagers a change to make their houses a bit more different.
I wish we could have an option for pixelated designs. I *love* the smoothing for paths and clothes, but sometimes pixel art looks better... pixelated. Just one button, switch between pixelated and smooth.
some changes that id appreciate: having some kind of warning that your tools are getting low, whether it be a durability bar, or some kind of notification saying something like "my axe is feeling a little wobbly" so you know you only have a few chops left before you have to go make a new one. I think the idea of breakable tools is a good one, and adding unbreakable tools would make things a little too easy, but i hate going to a deserted island not knowing how much durability i have. Like yeah you can bring extras, make a complete new set before going, or buy from wilbur, but it just seems like durability indication is something that normally goes hand in hand with breakble tools 🤷🏻 EDIT: NH is my first animal crossing so i didnt realize that durability indication was a thing in past games! which is even more of a reason why it should be added to NH. Frankly it seems weird that they had it in other versions and not in this one.
The axes don't even visibly crack like in previous games! Having that visual again would be a great help, and it just confounds me why they'd take that out in a game where tools breaking plays a major role.
@@NinjaWeedle I was about to add that. I remember it from New Leaf on the 3DS so having that crafting mechanic but suddenly missing that indicator felt incredibly strange. I actually did a halloween outfit and party in game with friends and made sure to chip the axe I had as part of the outfit.
Yes, yes, yes! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a tool break on me unexpectedly. Also, repairing tools, it will need one of the materials used to make it, such as an iron nugget for a shovel, and you’d see a little fixing animation, then the tool would regain durability.
@@mandymom2800 You can reset a tool's durability to full just by customizing it/changing the color. It only takes one customization kit. It's pretty useful, but still a pain to not know when is the best time to do so since there's no durability indicator.
Sharing an island with my two kids, I really wish that progress was not tied to a single player’s account. It just feels punitive to restrict progression this way
same. having to share the island with my daughter is a bit annoying lol. and my husband doesnt even want to play with us because i’m already the resident rep, and he feels like he would just be playing catch up.
same here, my younger brother wants to play but I don’t want him to go and do a bunch of stuff I don’t want him doing on my island, so Nintendo not allowing multiple saves still has me salty.
@@elizabethc2856 Yeah, they have. But this game is more expensive. You also weren't mayor/island rep/whatever in City Folk, so the other players weren't left out of nearly as much gameplay
Yeah the fact that you are forced to have 1 island AND progress is tied to 1 player is silly. One or the other would have been fine, but both? Whats the non-main players supposed to do when most of it was either already done by another player or doesnt actually contribute?
Personally, I would want a patch that lets player 2 progress the town just as much as player 1 can. I share this game with my younger sister, but because we only have one switch, I’m the only one that can really progress the island, and what’s the point of having local multiplayer if the two players can’t really work together?
my sister just got a switch recently and I sort of got over not being able to have my own island but now she needs to get items for incoming villagers' houses and I can't see what the plots need and I don't get the crafting recipes she does, so the only way I can help is by gathering materials and dropping them in front of her house if she gives me a list
The system is so mind achingly janky--- Especially for the weird exceptions like island flags and tunes that *everyone* can change. The sharing isn't the bad part, it's the second rank citizenship Not to mention the DIY recipes ._.
Just to add to the list: Stopping the clock when you catch a fish/bug during tourney. Being able to remove a plot of land once a villager moves out so no one else moves in. Mini games for multiplayer play, you could have this on a separate island if necessary. Bringing back the island survival minigame from new Leaf(you could play it if you had a in game wii u, just add it to the current in game switch). Being able to change the color of non craftable items instead of hoping your friends have different colors you could trade for. Checkout multiple items in changing room at the able sisters. Less duplicate diy recipes. Gold tools don't break.
the fact that non craftable items arent customizable adds a TON of content to the game. already found a green garden gnome? ok cool. next time you find one in a tree, you'll still be excited to see if it's a different color. i want MORE reasons to continue exploring this game, not less
I remember being really impressed by how I'd basically never see repeated dialogue from villagers through the entire game in the original Animal Crossing. That really needs to come back, it was basically what won me over to the series in the first place.
I know it's also stupid how villagers say things like "hi what game should I play?" And your only option is say "let's chat!" Like let me answer the question normally and let me play games with the villagers
This was actually implemented on Wii U, but maybe you skipped that version. Games can store either a save on your profile, or on the console. Games like Smash Bros stores it on the console, so everyone plays the same saved game and everyone can play the unlocked characters. But other games have the progress tied to the profile instead. - Animal Crossing goes the Smash Bros route here.
I hate it. I wake up every morning to play animal crossing and find all the flowers around my paths picked, random forniture around and sometimes chopped trees. My sister is 10, there's no way I can explain her why she has to stop, and my mother is on her side because they bought us the switch for Christmas so it's not just mine. I just want to have a nice island
i really wish New horizons made a way to put items in the center of tables outdoors i also wish golden tools could be unbreakable but very expensive to make to balance things out
I’d also love for them to be unbreakable, but if they aren’t going to do that, at the very least they should do something extra, like golden shovel increase the chances of getting golden nuggets, golden rod giving you extra time before a fish releases, etc
@@ainedroid Unfortunately :/ If I remember right, you only get 200 swings out of the golden axe, which isn't much at all if you're trying to strip out a Mystery Island.
I need a way to see what items I already own when shopping at the Able Sister's. I often like to buy a different style of shoes/ glasses/ pants on different days, but I can't remember which ones I already own. Also, let me buy multiple styles of items at once!
A thing I would like are more autosaves while playing online. My friend accidentally tapped her power button and put her Switch to sleep which caused her character to "quietly leave" and then all of our progress from THE PAST HOUR got deleted. Everything she bought from my stores was gone and she couldn't go back and buy them again because they closed. It has happened multiple times. And not always because of something we did. Sometimes the game just randomly crashes and then a hour's worth of play is gone
this happened to me. i went to a friends island and he had so many shooting stars that we couldnt even walk away without worrying about another one falling. we were there all night and got like more than 200, but the game crashed and i lost most of it.
There's a few frustrating things I haven't seen people talking about as much: -Turnips, when dropped outside, count towards an invisible counter of how many loose items are lying around outside. If you have too many items lying around, your island rating goes down. It would be so good if turnips could be an exception from this, especially since I've seen people make creative turnip gardens, and the game shouldn't be punishing us for creativity. -Your initial 5 villagers have generic, boring house interiors, while all villagers after those first 5 all have their own unique interiors. It is possible to give them new furniture to slowly, over time, improve their house, (this is what I do with Cherry who started with annoying colorful toy block furniture) but for some reason they will NEVER change their wallpaper or flooring. Ever. So no matter how much I improve her furniture, Cherry is stuck with blue walls that don't fit her at all. WHY -I want an actual post office. Or at least, I just want to see the mailman delivering the letters in the morning. -Actually I want more buildings in general. In this game we get a shop, museum, able sisters, and town hall. That's it, 4 buildings. 5 if you count the airport. Less than you START with in New Leaf. In New Leaf I loved unlocking new buildings, and it's disappointing that you kinda have all the buildings in this game after only a week or two. Not to mention Nook's Cranny can only be upgraded once, from what I've heard. -There's a lot of stuff that just... isn't in the game. Gyroids, diving (would be PERFECT on an island), museum artwork collection, the exotic fruits, a BUNCH of special characters who are missing... especially Brewster :( I absolutely love this game but there's so many little tiny disappointments. I'm still hopeful that Nintendo will add/patch some of this stuff.
I REALLY want the perfect fruits back. Also, I know that there’s mushrooms, as seen in the trailer, but I also hope you can get the Mario mushroom. The tree stumps with special shapes on them, like a heart, should also be brought back. Bushes, cake, balloons, bird seeds, and the town tree should be brought back. I also want to see Kappn’ return. His job would be to escort you (and your friends) to an island where you can play minigames like in New Leaf.
I just wanna know, WHERE’S ALL THE NINTENDO STUFF? I thought that was a long staple of the franchise, and I LOVED having the Master Sword in my room, and dressing up as Samus, but now it’s just...a Switch...and another Switch...
If I had to guess, it’s because your able to download other people’s custom designs in New Horizons, including Nintendo things that other people created
The slots on my tool ring should be locked to that tool and should automatically replace it with that same tool if I have multiple. I hate my tool ring getting changed when I clear out my inventory or have multiple tools break before making new ones. I keep my net in the up slot and want it to stay there.
A couple more fixes I’d like: -Let players see when their tools are about to break. An alternate icon for tools under 25% durability would be easy to implement, and would allow players to keep backups when they need them most. -Move the Cherry Blossoms event to March 21-31. I don’t think a lot of people could get all the cherry blossom recipes because of all the Bunny Day balloons and no real, consistent way to get them to show up. Heck, an alternate, Pink, balloon for those recipes would be a best-case scenario.
Yeah like Loretta said, Easter was in the middle of April this year. It's not always the same day/week. There's years where it'll be toward the end of March, so on those years, Bunny Day would then go into cherry blossom season. Except...I can't remember, but maybe Bunny Day is always the same in Animal Crossing. If it is, then that's a major coincidence for this year, but if it matches to IRL Easter, then it won't be a problem too often. Cherry blossoms should maybe stay set though. I guess it's Japan's thing, and I hear it's usually in April there.
Bunny Day had nothing to do with Cherry Blossom recipes. The Bunny Day balloons doesn’t disrupt the rate that regular balloons spawn in in any way and Cherry Blossom recipes only comes in the regular balloons
Bunny day balloons aren’t related to regular balloons and don’t change how often regular balloons spawn you just didn’t get lucky or weren’t looking hard enough for balloons
My one wish is that they'd let you talk to your friends with your voice rather than having to type everything. Then you could be better coordinated when playing together.
TheCrazyeggplant you can do this with the nintendo switch online app! all ur friends would have to have it though and you’d be talking to each other thru ur phones rather than the game but, it’s still there.
The 45 degree angle suggestion is probably WAY more difficult than you realize. Everything is built on a grid, and everything has grid based collision and logic. It sounds simple on paper, but that isn't practical to add at this point.
i’d love to see a patch that reduces the spawn rate of bass. getting excited for a large shadow only to whip out a sea bass or a black bass has me this . close to losing my marbles.
@@bediebysstar1939 *hugs you with a squee that ruins your hearing* fishing needs patching indeed. size 6 fish are hard to make out from size 5 and seasonal fish/deep sea fish can be hard to get due to you largely getting the year round stuff on both your and other islands, like bass.
I've taught a lot with all my villagers and I noticed that the more you talk with them it's like you "unlock" more dialogue. When a new villager comes to my island, the dialogue repeats a lot but when you become best friends with a villager I feel like the dialogue is way more variate
@Kyoko Chan Try playing the original Animal Crossing and tell me that. I swear, it really felt like the entire time I played the game I barely saw any repeated villager dialogue ever. It was so good.
That price showing up when hovering should be fairly simple since they have the name pop up already. so a slight tweak to where the text goes and it would work.
Item rarity indicators. I was cleaning out my storage and had to manually look up which items could not be re-purchased from the catalog. So for example, we could have grey rarity items aka the basic items that can be bought at shops. Blue rarity items would be craftable items, and gold rarity items would be special items (ie: DAL merch, Gulliver items, etc)
i wish the nook catalog had an extra refiner where it was only buyable items or only fossils or only holiday items and things like that because i hate scrolling through for ages when i only want to order one specific thing
They need to bring back the ones they cut namely the weird one that was short and went up to a point in the back. That was my favorite hairstyle in any game ever.
Similar to bulk crafting: - selecting how much fruit to eat (instead of 10 turnips if you have them or 1 fruit at a time) - bigger bulk buying of items that currently only come in 1s or 5s (like customization kits)
I wish you could toggle the smoothing on designs, it's a nice feature but some old designs are kind of ruined if they're not kept in their original pixelly state
Christian Groendyk I mean it does preview how the blending will look on the bottom left, so you being mad at the game for wasting 20 minutes of your time is kind of on you for not noticing that.
Ideas i've always had: - Customizing fences. I have a pastel theme going on in my island, why can't I have a white picket fence at the very least? -The ability to put the plush bears/dolls on chairs. I have a few decoration ideas that involve seating them on my chairs and am surprised that you can't do that (of course, the papa bears would have to be exempt from this but it would work with baby/mamas) - Non-amiibo campers should be allowed to negotiate with a villager to move out just the same as an amiibo villager. - Add Sanrio/Zelda/splatoon villagers back
Actually, non-amiibo campers CAN negotiate with villagers to get them to move out. I had Kitty over recently and I thought she seemed nice so I asked her to move here and she went to Nook and learned the island was full but maybe she could ask someone if they wanted to leave? Sadly the villager the game recommended to leave was Curlos and I'm sorry but all sheep must stay. So Kitty didn't move in. I wish that I could have chosen who she'd talk to instead :/
@@neferacronia6798 I wish. Unfortunately I've tried several times with non-amiibo campsite villagers. From my tests I cannot see a way to get them to join my island unless there is a pre-opened plot. It'd be nice, though. I had Pietro in my campsite and was wishing to kick someone out, but he wouldn't allow it.
Bambie Pan i've been able to get villagers to move in as non-amiibo campsite visitors. it takes a lot of talking to them over & over again to do, but you can easily. eventually they'll offer to move in and they'll recommend a villager who can move out & if they recommend someone you wanna keep you just reset and try again
Fully agreed. You can bypass the limit by making extra player accounts anyway, so the limit is pointless. In fact, we had past AC games that allowed us to order way more than 5 items a day.
In the first Animal Crossing on the gamecube ordering items was limited to 5 because of the gamecube hardware. Now that the Switch is more powerfull making the order limit to 5 make no sence
My biggest pet peeve is that you can’t customize villagers houses or give them wallpaper for them to use! My first 5 villagers are stuck with basic houses while my new villagers have fully decked out houses. It like the game wants me to make them leave... but like I don’t want to kick them out. I just hope they update this soon...
Just a random person on the internet you can give the villager in question items. I have had given one a fish and later they had it in their house later
Marie Some advice on that! Local coop generally sucks, but it’s super handy for reorganizing your island. Let Player 1 eat 10 fruit then switch the leader. The person that ate the fruit is now player 2 and every tree they dig up will go to the box in Resident Services!
One thing my friend and I discussed was a “window seat” option when visiting friends to make the landing time faster. If you choose to sit in a window seat while at your own airport, the same flyover screen plays as usual. But if you opt out, it just takes you straight to the airport. Helps for people who want an overview of an island theyre visiting for the first time or designs, etc. but repeat visitors dont have to sit through it
Idea I've had for a while playing this: Gates. Often times I like to fence off areas like flowerbeds or dropped items like turnips or outdoor crafting areas, while making sure island visitors or other villagers can't easily or accidentally access them. Still once someone heads over to my islands, fenced off areas are even inaccessible to me. A "gate" would be placed in a 1x1 or 2x1 section along a fence that will open by pressing "A". This will allow island owners to give access to guests or even access their own areas with visitors over. Maybe even keep gates inaccessible to non-friends and basic friends while being available to Best Friends only.
I've been thinking about that idea too! Then you could put a gate in front of your airport so when you're trading with strangers you don't have to wait by the airport for 10 minutes, you can continue your activity knowing your island is safe until you show up to open the gate. That and gating off flowers because I always end up running through them because I'm lazy and like shortcuts... I need to restrain myself.
1. Make backpacks and purses useful with storage 2. Allow random islands to be northern and southern hemispheres 3. Let us see the ”percentage” left on tools 4. When making paths let them be round and not weird squares 5. Buy multiple things at once from the able sisters and nook atm
Yes! If you could visit an opposite hemisphere island on a Nook Miles Ticket! OR AT LEAST get more than just your "sister" fruit... And for paths, to be able to have properly diagonal corners....
You can round off the corners of paths, though, if there's enough squares of path placed by it to make it count as a corner. You can even make circles this way.
Every time I play this game there’s a moment where I go “why can’t I do ____ easier?” or “why didn’t they add this?” Makes what was potentially a 10/10 about an 8-8.5/10
The main thing I kept running into (besides manila clams, bugs and fish not stacking) is not enough inventory space at the start. I always felt I was three or four slots short of space-if i only had those extra slots-and the said things not stacking made me run out of room far too quickly. Then your tools are flimsy so you have to keep the materials on hand for slightly quicker access to craft them again. But those materials too take up space, leaving you no real room to actually hold other things.
@George Henry Hey man, you ok? That seems like a pretty disproportionately aggressive response. We're all stressed out these days but let's try to be nice to each other
Yes!!! Oh my gosh for a game that’s supposed to be cool and relaxing I always find myself wondering why __ takes to long it why I have to go through so much dialogue just to ___ or why is __ even in the game. I feel like a lot of these the developers should’ve realized just playing the game for a few hours
Unfortunately, I don't believe that's possible in an update. Edit: Nevermind, this is why I shouldn't be commenting at 4am. It's easily added into the game if Nintendo wanted to. My tired mind was thinking that'd require an overhaul of the grid structure, which still is possible, but not probable due to Nintendo's clear intention. But yeah, angled furniture is easily added.
i saw you were able to in a trailer, but that got deleted. it got re-uploaded but in the scene where the furniture was turned at the angle it just turned to the front. wonder why they changed it
@@Keisuki and then you pay to destroy it because all the other bridges are pretty stone or zen bridges. And then more money to rebuild. A fascinating two day process (assuming you have enough money to do this all in one fell swoop).
Most people have a room in their house dedicated to turnip storage, I have a room in my house dedicated to spare DIY storage. I'm on some forums where people pay good money for DIYs, so I like to keep them around instead of selling them for a measly 200 bells each at Nook's.
@@nenidetic yeah now you can only have your umbrella in hand while sitting sad that so much was taken out even if that were small things.. the switch has more power so why not?
You wanna know something silly? In New Leaf when you're going to or leaving the tropical island and Kapp'n is singing, you can spam the A B X Y buttons and Kapp'n is like "Fine, I'll stop singing!" and you go straight to your destination. Going to a friend's island should be like that. Seeing a friend's island as you fly above it should be optional. This would save 30 seconds of back and forth between your island and you friends' islands. The screen showing your progress of heading to the island is likely a loading screen so it makes sense, but the whole island is already loaded when you're flying over it. I have no idea why there isn't any option to at least speed this part up.
Nintendo please please PLEASE do away with the Resident Representative. Or at the very least let us change the Resident Representative. For those who don't know, the "story" progression of AC:NH is locked to the first person who makes their profile on a Switch. All the other players aren't allowed to progress the story and never even get the option to do things like build the museum or bridges from Tom Nook, and they also don't get a bunch of really important crafting recipes. Since I set my wife up first (and since this Resident Representative thing wasn't in any advertisements nor most reviews) I'm basically a glorified NPC on the island - in a game I paid $60 for - while I watch my wife complete the story and get the full Animal Crossing experience. I have to wait around for her to complete stuff to progress the island and I have to ask her to craft me things like the ladder. This was my first Animal Crossing game and I was really excited for it but this seemingly small caveat has kind of ruined the entire experience for me.
Too complicated to have everyone requesting the same things and changing who is the representative. In New Leaf (the game before this one) only the first player could be the mayor and make all the decisions. It makes sense and personally I'd never share a AC game with anyone else because you'd be basically sharing the same things with the other person + one of you would miss a lot of content. So either buy another game (which Nintendo should allow) or don't share the game with your wife.
Something I would Love to see myself, is after finishing your house, you could upgrade your storage space! 1600 slots may seem like a lot, but this game has too many great looking clothes, and you got so many materials to hold onto, it fills up fast. I literally hit the max capacity last night, too.
I Second this! I also think the house should be bigger when maxed out.. in new leaf all the rooms were the size of the big middle room in the end. Plus you could build two secret rooms to store things in..
Also, this game NEEDS more interesting and varied island trips. They're all pretty much identical. Gives the player zero incentive to travel once they have a full island.
The only thing I haven't gotten are apples and bamboo and that was in less than a week of buying the game. My first 5 or 6 trips I got 3 new villager and new fruit which game me hope that there was more to discover, but by the 15th trip I grew 100 percent bored when I realized the islands had so little to offer. I probably took 20 or more trips over a course of a month since getting this game and didn't get a single bamboo island, tarantula island, big fish island, or apple tree. It was like the game knew I was knew and gave me a false sense of quality with those first couple of trips I did. After awhile I just stopped completely. It's annoying that Karveys island is the only NPC oriented island you can go for free and it has little you can do still and introduces a mechanic you can only use on his island with the liquidations. Made me so angry I nearly quit playing for good
I feel like, since there could be so many variations of one item, you could just be able to customize them. You can already do that, but for some things, you have to get the different color when it would just be easier to customize them with the customization kits. Also, when making villagers, they should combine animal type, zodiac, and what canon personality they are. Like Renee, she’s a rhino, a Gemini, and an Uchi character, so they should combine those traits to make a unique character, which could influence their dialogue too.
Yeah that actually sounds really cool! Definitely could add more variety to dialogue, because I am honestly sick of hearing Hamlet go on and on and on about his non-existent muscles every day. GET A NEW HOBBY YOU CHUBBY SPORTS OBSESSED HAMSTER!!!
i would love it if my friends and i were able to donate to each other’s museums. it was so much fun visiting their museums in past games and reading a plaque with your name on it.
yeah, i wanted to help friends out by donating but no dice. or how about giving someone bugs or fish? what if i caught a nice barreleye fish that i wanted to give to someone as a gift? nope, nothin.
this game felt kinda half-baked when it was released, there are going to be numerous updates so i feel really terrible for those people that have already finished their entire island and are gonna have to remove lots of it to make room for more facilities and such
I don't mean to be that guy, but the game would probably be entertaining for a longer amount of time for the people who finished there island, if they didn't time travel as much.
It does feel kinda half-baked, but I think the developers were really going for a game without time travel. I remember a ton of stuff before saying there wouldn't be any time travel, so the devs probably made the game with progression of time in mind. Like they probably already had the earth day update made at launch (or close to it) but they wanted to add it so people would know more is coming later with time. Hopefully people who time travel know that they made that sacrifice when they finished their islands, and personally i think it would be fun to totally rethink ur layout when more comes! keeps the game more playable
i think the whole anti-time travel thing is bunk. like just let people play the game how they want, i feel like the entire point of animal crossing is to be able to play at your own pace and have fun with it
One fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait
getting the clams for an hour, crafting one by one, taking them up top the mountain to get the stringish and golden trout to end up with nothing was the worse... and oh boy I still don't have a snapping turtle and I am making everything else just so I don't have to experience this again.
It drives me crazy that they programmed a specific dialogue when you try to donate unidentified fossils - if Blathers can detect I have fossils he needs to examine, just add the line "Would you like me to analyze them for you?" instead of making me do it all over again!
I could be wrong, but I think you can do that if you have Blathers look at an individual fossil and its one you don't have yet. but yes this should work when you have multiple fossils to donate too.
@@cupcake18429 I think you're right, if you go to the fossil analysis option AND all the fossils you identify happen to be new, then yes, I think he does ask if you want to donate it right then. I'm mainly referring to when I'm mashing A and accidentally try to donate instead of the analysis option. If you try to donate items while carrying unidentified fossils, the dialogue that comes up always feels like, "Oops, that's not the right order, try again!" whereas they could have just allowed him to analyze right from that menu if he can tell what you're trying to do anyway
@@cupcake18429 he only offers to donate them immediately if its 1 new one or all the ones he just assesses are new. if he looks at 4 and only 1 is new he says please consider donating and gives them all back, then you gotta ask to donate .. which makes it a little more annoying lol
I`m amazed that no one mentioned durability bars for the tools. That`s like in the top five requests list (sorry for the english, I`m not sure if it is written correctly)
as well as indestructable gold tools... ive never played an animal crossing game until new horizons, but ive seen many ppl comment about how its stupid that such a hard to get and expensive set of tools is breakable. its kinda stupid
@@k-koldgaming2509 Since you're a new fan you may nor know But most tools actually did not break at all. Only the ax, and it showed damage when it was about to be destroyed... which is conspicuously absent from New Horizons. Also golden tools used to have special effects, but not anymore...
I could live without any of these. Just. Give us separate islands, Nintendo. It is frustrating how many times I have fought with My sister because she has the Managing Citizen Role. We have vastly different personalities and all of our ideas won't fit on One single island. These are really good ideas for patches, Arlo. But I would be so happy if they added separate islands that I would forget everything else, And I would praise Nintendo si mucho more. Please Fix This Nintendo.
@Luke F I imagine the issue isn't accounts but that the family only has one switch. One Island per switch, one Resident Manager per Island. The fact that Nintendo did not care to consider that siblings often want their own space to express themselves is frustrating.
@@I_forgot_something_ yeah! I remember before switch was even announced everyone was like 'i hope they have the ability to have like 8 islands at once so people can have more than one island, like it would make sense to pay for one too, say you've finished an island and are really proud of it, in old games you could just buy a new copy and boom, new game, but now you have to reset and let all he hard work disappear
I went halves in Animal Crossing with my sister, she played the game first and gets the full experience whilst I don’t get the same town representative freedoms, never mind any creative differences we have with the decoration of our island... A greedy concept added I think to get people to purchase more switches as Nintendo has been pushing the idea of everyone owning their own switch (despite it being a console and NOT just a personal handheld device)
Exactly, it's pretty frustrating the game doesn't have this basic ass shit in 2020. Nintendo has always been so out of touch and their games suffer for it. And people that only play Nintendo games are like here ye here ye it's the greatest thing since sliced bread its really annoying
I've noticed that Nintendo consistently refuses to make small changes/additions/fixes to their games that could significantly improve them, like them refusing to let you search levels by name in Mario Maker 2. Heck, them being ridiculously stingy with Switch icons, which takes almost no effort to add, but which could make so many people very happy (starting with Fire Emblem and Xenoblade fans), is just another example of this. A few select Nintendo studios aside, I really don't think Nintendo believes in listening to fan feedback.
It's both Nintendo's greatest blessing and curse. Not listening to anyone allows them to create whatever they want, downside is they often have small/big problems with their games that often take a whole another game to fix
@@cowking6426 that's bc the outcry was so large they couldn't ignore it, in addition to it being a seasonal event. They might not be so flexible when it comes to tweaking the fundamentals of the game, but only time will tell
Maybe it's because there aren't any other "lloids" around to help collect funds for the projects? (That's my "in-universe" explanation for it, anyway...)
Also not limiting the amount of inclines and bridges you can build or at least raising the cap higher than 8. I was building up my town to have lots of mountainous terrain only to find out that I can only make 8 inclines total. I just don’t see why there has to be a limit to something like that.
(1:35) This has been my main issue with Animal Crossing. There's too much text and menus to go through. At least they have improved some where you can stack items and sell or give away multiple at once. But they say the same thing over and over, and they talk for too long, that it really slows it down. - Is it meant to be a slow game? Sure, but that doesn't mean it has to be annoying.
I miss errands. My villagers rarely ask me to do anything, and it makes them feel even more like aimlessly wandering NPCs. If villagers are going to be such a big part of the game, if you’re not going to add heart events like other life simulators (which is understandable cause there are 300+ villagers) , at least keep the quest. I think increasing the rate for that, plus maybe even sometimes villagers will make request on the notice board, would be nice.
What changes would you like to see, big OR small? Lay it on us, we're stuck inside all day and need something to talk about!
Also I do know that you can get counters for your house, but you still have to find those specific items. I'm saying there should be basic, neutral counters to use for any purpose at any time.
Arlo Hey Arlo
How do you look in real life?
Show when tools breaks
Less talking with Wilber definitely
I want to see the ability to craft multiple items at once because I hate crafting fish bait one by one by one. It's just very tedious
I know the writing in AC isn't supposed to be outstanding. But for the love of God Please make jocks talk about literally anything else besides working out.
There's so much you could do with them. Maybe the jock personality type is really caring and protective of your character? That's my fave idea at least
Agreed, the jock villagers are the most bland and one-dimensional villagers by far
I completely agree with this.
Biff won’t stop talking about his muscles when I talk to him.
Nah that's what jocks do.
You sure you don't want to patrol jog with Roald as his tailcoat shows his biceps?
You don't like it when your village jocks keeps talking about his bulging, glistening muscles?
What’s the point of an ATM if there’s only one of them that you can access?
buying in bulk from able sisters would be nice I cant explain how many times I walk in and out of fitting rooms to get everything I want
And then stuff you want to carry on your person but not wear gets sent to your house
same here i know i have to keep going about 5 times daily to get everything i want and because its not going to my inventory i sometimes buy multiples of the same item by mistake.
Or in Nooks Cranny bulk buying not 5 at a time
Evan Fehn SAME
And I always forget what colours I bought and sometimes end up buying duplicates 😭
Also, it would be nice if Isabelle’s morning announcements were a little more informative. Like, she could give a weather forecast and fishing recommendations or say who the guest visitor is for the day.
this would be fantastic! right now it feels like literally nothing ever happens because isabelle never has anything to report. i love her new quirky and personal dialogue but i feel like i've heard all of it and it's just become repetitive at this point. hearing about her personal life is fun and all but it would be way more enjoyable if it didnt happen every single day
Dan Swindle exactly! Cute stops being cute after a lot of repetition. Lol
Be like your personal Jarvis where she states current Turnips trading prices
Also cut all the bull shit she shares if there aren’t announcements.
Spencer Richards Yeah, it’s annoying when I’m time traveling and I have to skip through all her dialogue every day when there’s almost never any news.

@@putridmoldyman306 yeh i can see that! i like to buy many variations of things, all the colours, so it can be tiresome
Yeah, just have the character pull out their NookPhone and "show" Blathers the creature they want him to talk about. It would be so easy.
I wish it was like new leaf where you could read about the different fish, bugs and fossils while going through the museum
@@chase6727 While I liked that feature as well, I prefer Blathers charming dialogue when he educates me about the species. I just wish that it was more accessible like the comment had said :/
@@chase6727 I prefer it this way as well. It makes the museum more engaging.

Some things I've always wanted: -Being able to climb onto the loft/bunk beds.
- Being able to interact more with pools/hot springs

I was just about to say this myself.
Papa bless
i 10000% agree with this one. filbert was one of my first villagers and i really want to see his cool space room!
I recently had merengue ask me to leave. Yknow, that adorable af strawberry rhino? And I said yes because she had the basic shit house. Really sad
How do you check if you have friendship status with them?

I was so excited to have white picket fences only to be disappointed that I can't customize any fences and am stuck with the ugly default browns and greys.
same man. i wanted to decorate my brothers house with white pickets but stuck brown.
Oh my gosh that is such I good idea I have never though of that!
right!! the fence icon in the inventory is a white picket fence.. but nope apparently we can only have brown picket fences lol
I've resulted to using the wooden stakes and customizing those white to act as fences. The only downside is they don't count as fences and are more time consuming to out down
Right? What’s more classic than the white picket fence? How do you mess that up?
You missed one of my biggest wishes: a shopping cart for buying clothing. When there’s two items for the same equipment slot that both have 6 alt colors, it’s extremely tedious to have to enter and leave the changing room 12 times to buy one of each.
I'm totally there with you, had to walk in and out because I wanted both versions of the steampunk outfit. It's a hassle that just doesn't need to exist. Just let me pick clothing with button A and if I want to wear something out give me that in a seperate menu option afterward.
Mabel: Do you want to wear any of that out?
Option; yes/no
yes - > list of all chosen clothing
no -> done
And the duplicates that I inevitably end up with because I have a hard time keeping track of what I have and haven't bought already!

Yeah I was just thinking abt how I wish houses could be able to face other detections
I personally hate diagonals. I covered all up
yes! i wish i could make my furniture sit diagnally.
@@Rot8erConeX just use the d pad
Also let each type of wand save another 8 outfits... pleaseee.
It really doesn’t make sense when you consider it was a feature in Pocket Camp but not in New Horizons.
they'll get filthy after it rains tho
katakis1 True but so would couches, beds, etc.
i thought the animals were gonna be more interactive with the outside furniture the way they use them in pocket camp if u put the half pipe they skate etc
Alex H Same. I really think there needs to be an update dedicated to better fleshing out the animals through actions, dialogue, etc. They’re quite boring still. It’s an improvement over past games but still needs some further development.
this was also a feature in happy home designer. really useful to add extra touches besides patterns for the grass!
It’s minor, but I really wish you could have different types of paths join together, without grass in between.
people have patterns to mitigate this and some of them are super nice! take a dive on the internet. still I get what you mean it should be simple... like nothing in this game... lol
@@Quiqueleal85 it's also a shame those don't show up on the map tho

Speaking of pathing, I wish they'd let us have the paths connect to the entrance of the museum/nooks like it does for the houses. Seems weird to have one but not the other
custom design paths
What I would like: when your visiting a friends island, I want a marker on the map to show where your friend is. I can’t tell you the amount of times where I’m like: “where r u”
Disagree with this one. I loved playing hide and seek on my island with visitors back in New Leaf. That wouldn't work anymore.
I like this idea maybe make it to where it has an on or off switch? Easy fix
Tabea Tamm easy enough, let it show on the mini map, which you can simply turn off
@@lilian8803 Better yet; make it show up on the Map app on your phone.

I wish we were able to build a “blank” building. We could decorate the exterior of the building to make it look like whatever we want like a gym, restaurant, plant shop or whatever else. Then we could fill the interior with related items!
Yeah, why do we have all these items that clearly belong in a school or office building not a house, and yet no place to put them!
Oh my god I would love this. And depending on the items inside Jocks would be into the gym stuff, Normal villagers would be into the writing materials, etc
I'm honestly surprised they didn't carry over the ability to design your own school, restaurant, hospital etc. from Happy Home Designer.
You can create another character and use their house for whatever it is you want to create
Lazy villagers SOMETIMES ask, Static asked me for a fish but like it was once and last week
I had Nate (lazy villager) ask me to catch him some fish but that was only after spam talking to him for a while, and I accidentally missed it :(
Not being able to move a building a few inches over because the game thinks said building is an obstacle in the way of itself is absolutely terrible design and needs to be patched out.
THIS. You have to pay to move it twice. Once super far away from where you actually want it to go, and then again to where you actually want it to go.
@@PatsandSox Then if your not time traveling you have to wait 2 days to get it to where you want
I can't believe they didn't catch that during testing.
I'm dealing with this right now and it's sooooo frustrating and tedious
That's why I measure things with holes before committing.
@@jjjorp Yeah, that's a huge drag, and we're adults, how bad will that suck for muli children families, 'oh pick one of you to be in charge of the whole game and the rest of you can half play.' I just...
And one island per Switch console. That's absurd
Ryan Müller Yaa I liked the multiple save files that New Leaf had!

@@lazul_i That's not how it works.
Okay, here we go:
- The Able Sisters dressing room NEEDS a cart option.
EXACTLY
Thank you. You get it.
Definitely!!!
i agree 100%. jesus christ, shopping for clothes is awful. making new outfits is one of my favorite things in the game, but they make it so you have to go back and forth and try everything on just to get different colors! why??
and yes, i hate the tools breaking. i wouldn't care if it was like once a week, each tool. but it's not! it's like two or three times a day, and i only play a few hours a day. real tools don't even break that much! and it just a big annoyance that it happens at all. it's extra annoying that the gold tools aren't even unbreakable. like what is even the point????
An update idea for nook miles tickets: give us a chance to get an island on the other hemisphere down the line. They dont have to be fancy, but it would be really neat to get an island in another season as a rare variant.
How about adding more furniture sets? Ironwood is literally the only good set I've seen and the recipes are hard to find. They put every appliance they could think of into the game, but give you no tables to put them on. It's pretty ridiculous.
I kinda like the ice set.
The fancy sets are exclusive to the upgraded shop, and shaking trees.
I am dying to find some lovely furniture. I know it's in the game.
I'm ready to get my Ironwood counter
It’ll probably happen
I just want my alpine back
I actually can't believe there aren't mini games in this NH? There was in New Leaf, and i loved playing them with my friends online - It's so bizarre that they've left this feature out i honestly believe that it 100% will be included in an update in the future!
@Marianne Knell it's not multiplayer though
Mini games between friends would be so amazing
Never played New Leaf, what are the mini games?
I've done errands for them but no one has asked to come by my house... I think they took it out
I don’t like it, but you just have to play more. I think only ONCE I had a villager have me give another a gift. But yeah errands need to come back.
Need loading between rooms because of music
For number four I sooooooo agree
Yea! And there aren't enough tables or chairs for me, I would also love to put items on chairs, that would be a cute touch
EXACTLY this
My whole kitchen is just those three iron-wood things that I don’t like visually but what choice do I have???^^
Six seconds into the big section and your next task would be to build a hospital because blathers just had a heart attack
I’ve been trying to make my kitchen for so but I can’t find any counters!
Regarding seeing behind stuff: The game already has a 90-degree straight-down camera angle which it automatically switches to when using the Island Designer behind a building or cliff. It'd be an absolutely trivial patch to allow us to use this angle whenever we want.
Gogglebrian They COULD use a White Outline to resemble the Type of Item that’s behind something.
It switches to that view when your building fences as well! :D
So lame.
Can’t believe they removed this from new leaf
Having it right on the plaque of the creatures in question just makes sense, just like you'll see plaques you can read around real life zoos and aquariums.
I'd even go for sort of audio tour kind of deal that you can pay for or only do once you've completed the museum exhibit.
*you will now be seeing a sturgeon. These yada yada yada...*.
It'd make for an interesting activity to do with friends who come and visit.
@@brendan308 in new leaf they removed blather's blathering which was a huge complaint so they went back to the old way. i agree a mix of the two would be so much better!
Two ideas I've had while playing for a few weeks:
1) I wish I could run around while the camera is on horizontal view like I can when it's on overhead view.
Just let me buy my clothes in bulk.....in addition to the changes proposed in the video.
Yes please... let me buy more than one outfit without having to go in and out of the change room multiple times... Also it would be nice to have a "# in storage" in the store screen somewhere so that I know that I own them already.

"I wish you could create diagonal paths"
"I wish items had diagonal rotations"
"I wish buildings could be placed along half spots on the grid like furniture"
"I wish paths could be joined into more stuff like the plaza, or other path types"

Put them on the bottom of your invitory so that you items don't fill up the slots when ur items break
Surprised that it’s not in the game.
In my game it doesnt smooth out the lines..... and I actually want it to do that
@@screamintothevoid5336 Do you have that problem every time? Sometimes designs become partially pixelated when two similar colours are put together.

Thete should be a screen in the airport saying ur best friend list and whether or not their gate is open
Omg yes!!
or just an icon next to their name in the best friends list on your phone, so no need to run to the airport
some changes that id appreciate: having some kind of warning that your tools are getting low, whether it be a durability bar, or some kind of notification saying something like "my axe is feeling a little wobbly" so you know you only have a few chops left before you have to go make a new one. I think the idea of breakable tools is a good one, and adding unbreakable tools would make things a little too easy, but i hate going to a deserted island not knowing how much durability i have. Like yeah you can bring extras, make a complete new set before going, or buy from wilbur, but it just seems like durability indication is something that normally goes hand in hand with breakble tools 🤷🏻
EDIT: NH is my first animal crossing so i didnt realize that durability indication was a thing in past games! which is even more of a reason why it should be added to NH.
Agreed!
Simeone correct me if I'm wrong but haven't they been doing this in previous games too? I remember on the Wii I had to share an island with my sister
The sharing isn't the bad part, it's the second rank citizenship
Not to mention the DIY recipes ._.
Just to add to the list:
Stopping the clock when you catch a fish/bug during tourney.
It would be very nifty to be able to move a plot of land at no cost if a villager moved out. Or maybe a reduced cost (say, the 10,000 bells)?
Another fishing tourney one: having the timer start when you set your first cast
Rather have an extra minute than clock stop...or at least skip the text during a tourney.
the fact that non craftable items arent customizable adds a TON of content to the game. already found a green garden gnome? ok cool. next time you find one in a tree, you'll still be excited to see if it's a different color. i want MORE reasons to continue exploring this game, not less
@@feIon That's totally fair and I completely respect your opinion, I just find that process too tedious to endure
I'm so glad to hear someone talking about how limited villager dialog is in this. It was one of the first things that I noticed and I still hate it.
One of my favorite things to do when playing new Leaf growing up was talking to the villagers, Goldie was my bestie ♡
Yup. It's so barebones in this one. And even more repetitive.

It doesn’t make any fucking sense
Arlo: Can we have save files dedicated to the Switch profiles?
Nintendo: Yes.
Arlo: On Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Nintendo: No.
Liggliluff Thats wrong. On my Switch my brother and I have separate profiles and we had to unlock all characters on our own.
@@alannalyc it makes sense for Smash Ultimate because it has a story mode, the Wii U's save data system was fine for Smash 4
Please someone fix that!!!
I hate it. I wake up every morning to play animal crossing and find all the flowers around my paths picked, random forniture around and sometimes chopped trees. My sister is 10, there's no way I can explain her why she has to stop, and my mother is on her side because they bought us the switch for Christmas so it's not just mine. I just want to have a nice island
i really wish New horizons made a way to put items in the center of tables outdoors
i also wish golden tools could be unbreakable but very expensive to make to balance things out
I’d also love for them to be unbreakable, but if they aren’t going to do that, at the very least they should do something extra, like golden shovel increase the chances of getting golden nuggets, golden rod giving you extra time before a fish releases, etc
@@Isaac_Essa mhm! and a higher durability bc i've heard from some people who's gotten the golden axe that it can only last 1 mystery island :(

My sister owns all the colours of items she likes. It’s ridiculous. But she bought 3 green sneakers accidentally and that could have been avoided.
Yes this! An autosave every 5-10 mins like at home.
Cherry Griffin why did they get rid of the save and continue playing from new leaf
@@BestiaIustitia It has an auto save feature.
How the heck you accidentally press the power button
this happened to me. i went to a friends island and he had so many shooting stars that we couldnt even walk away without worrying about another one falling. we were there all night and got like more than 200, but the game crashed and i lost most of it.
There's a few frustrating things I haven't seen people talking about as much:
-Turnips, when dropped outside, count towards an invisible counter of how many loose items are lying around outside.
WHY
-I want an actual post office.
Gyroids, diving (would be PERFECT on an island), museum artwork collection, the exotic fruits, a BUNCH of special characters who are missing... especially Brewster :(
I absolutely love this game but there's so many little tiny disappointments. I'm still hopeful that Nintendo will add/patch some of this stuff.
I totally agree! All that's left for us players to do is hope for these things to be patched in and beg Nintendo to release any of those things.
ABSOLUTELY YES to that complaint about starting villagers being
stuck with basic boring house interiors. I seriously hope this gets fixed.
By "diving" do you mean scuba diving/swimming? If so, DEFINITELY.
I agree with everything you said! Except there are Gyroids...
@@BulbaWhat98 But you were able to do that in New Leaf as well.. I don't understand your point of view.

Arlo: It's annoying to catch a fish without seeing it properly.
*Proceeds to catch a boot*
Nothing was worse then the eggs tho. OH LOOK A FISH LOOKING SHADOW, LET ME GO CATCH IT. A fucking EGG WHAT?
Arlo doesn’t know the true secret to fishing. It all about sound not sight. I personally close my eyes when fishing.
Sans InSmash Well, to be fair, that’s actually his editor playing.
happyhappy1 what do eggs and trash sound like, too?
The key to fishing is more sound than sight anyway.
The slots on my tool ring should be locked to that tool and should automatically replace it with that same tool if I have multiple. I hate my tool ring getting changed when I clear out my inventory or have multiple tools break before making new ones. I keep my net in the up slot and want it to stay there.
A couple more fixes I’d like:
-Let players see when their tools are about to break.
I think it was just bad luck as easter landed in April this year.
Bunny day changes yearly.
Please dear god Nintendo, let us move and place items when friends are over.

I think being able to quarter turn items, an outdoor furniture moving mode, and being able to put paths on a diagonal are pretty simple additions
I relate to this on an unhealthy degree
@@bediebysstar1939 *hugs you with a squee that ruins your hearing* fishing needs patching indeed. size 6 fish are hard to make out from size 5 and seasonal fish/deep sea fish can be hard to get due to you largely getting the year round stuff on both your and other islands, like bass.
Stacking manilla clams, they already did a patch to where you can stack shells so why not clams?
If they do that AND bulk crafting I would make hella fish baig
Yep, all youd have to do is change the string from its name to the price tag. Its such a simple fix!
Give us more hairstyles for our curly-haired villagers.
This we need more curly and wavy hairstyle
They need to bring back the ones they cut namely the weird one that was short and went up to a point in the back. That was my favorite hairstyle in any game ever.
To add to this, where's the option to be bald? Why can I not have no hair at all?
Yes omg! 😁👏
I think more hair in general would be nice
Similar to bulk crafting:
- selecting how much fruit to eat (instead of 10 turnips if you have them or 1 fruit at a time)
- bigger bulk buying of items that currently only come in 1s or 5s (like customization kits)
I wish you could toggle the smoothing on designs, it's a nice feature but some old designs are kind of ruined if they're not kept in their original pixelly state
birch tree toggling the smoothing would be amazing!
Yeah exactly it blurs the colors weirdly 90% of the time with my designs and makes me mad when I spend 20 minutes working on it
Christian Groendyk I mean it does preview how the blending will look on the bottom left, so you being mad at the game for wasting 20 minutes of your time is kind of on you for not noticing that.
Oh yes, please! I'd love some shirts that have legit pixel designs on them instead of whatever they turn into when the game smooths them out.
I want this feature so badly! It messed up my Mother 3 design
Ideas i've always had:
- Customizing fences. I have a pastel theme going on in my island, why can't I have a white picket fence at the very least?
-The ability to put the plush bears/dolls on chairs. I have a few decoration ideas that involve seating them on my chairs and am surprised that you can't do that (of course, the papa bears would have to be exempt from this but it would work with baby/mamas)
- Non-amiibo campers should be allowed to negotiate with a villager to move out just the same as an amiibo villager.
WHY ON EARTH IS THERE A 5 ITUM LIMIT ON MAIL ORDERS, THAT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL
Fully agreed. You can bypass the limit by making extra player accounts anyway, so the limit is pointless. In fact, we had past AC games that allowed us to order way more than 5 items a day.
If you buy 100 items from the ATM, then you can have access to it on your NookPhone. Not sure if it still has the limit, though
@@田-r6k it still has the 5 item limit I can assure you

In the first Animal Crossing on the gamecube ordering items was limited to 5 because of the gamecube hardware. Now that the Switch is more powerfull making the order limit to 5 make no sence
My biggest pet peeve is that you can’t customize villagers houses or give them wallpaper for them to use! My first 5 villagers are stuck with basic houses while my new villagers have fully decked out houses. It like the game wants me to make them leave... but like I don’t want to kick them out. One thing my friend and I discussed was a “window seat” option when visiting friends to make the landing time faster. If you choose to sit in a window seat while at your own airport, the same flyover screen plays as usual. But if you opt out, it just takes you straight to the airport. Helps for people who want an overview of an island theyre visiting for the first time or designs, etc. but repeat visitors dont have to sit through it
Idea I've had for a while playing this:
Gates.
Totally!

1. Make backpacks and purses useful with storage 2. Allow random islands to be northern and southern hemispheres 3. Let us see the ”percentage” left on tools 4. When making paths let them be round and not weird squares 5. Buy multiple things at once from the able sisters and nook atm
Equipment should really affect your stats. Some equipment should also make fishing etc. easier or make the tools last longer.
Yes! If you could visit an opposite hemisphere island on a Nook Miles Ticket!
OR AT LEAST get more than just your "sister" fruit...
And for paths, to be able to have properly diagonal corners....
Tristan Tries it really would do so much for the game
You can round off the corners of paths, though, if there's enough squares of path placed by it to make it count as a corner. You can even make circles this way.
Another thing about the dodo if you make a mistake you can’t just go back one step, no you have to start all over.
yup. i hate this, its so annoying especially if you have drift on your joycon/controller.
Every time I play this game there’s a moment where I go “why can’t I do ____ easier?” or “why didn’t they add this?”
Makes what was potentially a 10/10 about an 8-8.5/10
The main thing I kept running into (besides manila clams, bugs and fish not stacking) is not enough inventory space at the start.

@@nenidetic yeah now you can only have your umbrella in hand while sitting sad that so much was taken out even if that were small things.. the switch has more power so why not?

Dudezilla you missed the joke my friend
Doge Bruh I was distracted by his profile pic probably
"A freezer...should I change?"
wat.
yes! lol it's so weird
LARKXHIN What? You don’t change when you got to the fridge? 😂
@Fen Karma True, but they stored other things too. Now it's just clothes, so you can only get changed in the freezer. I like my clothes C O L D

Happy wife happy life amIright?
That’s idiotic. I can’t imagine any other game ANYWHERE having something like that
You can buy the recipes for the tools from Timmy if you want
That won't happen.
Tarantula Island, though
Made me so angry I nearly quit playing for good
13:10 LITERALLY MY VILLAGERS REPEAT THE SAME 3 SENTENCES EVERY TIME I TALK TO THEM ITS SO ANNOTING
Alana Archuleta IKR GOD i thought i left boring diologue behind in pocket camp
I HATE IT
emilyy I couldn’t stand pocket camp omg, I used to avoid my villagers
I feel like, since there could be so many variations of one item, you could just be able to customize them. You can already do that, but for some things, you have to get the different color when it would just be easier to customize them with the customization kits. Also, when making villagers, they should combine animal type, zodiac, and what canon personality they are. Like Renee, she’s a rhino, a Gemini, and an Uchi character, so they should combine those traits to make a unique character, which could influence their dialogue too.
katie cat ùwú Yessss!!! Zodiacs have always been a part in the game but never matter !! I want them to actually have a purpose !!
Wait you're kidding...
This wasn't a thing already?
Holy fuck this was a given that you could do it.
this game felt kinda half-baked when it was released, there are going to be numerous updates so i feel really terrible for those people that have already finished their entire island and are gonna have to remove lots of it to make room for more facilities and such
I don't mean to be that guy, but the game would probably be entertaining for a longer amount of time for the people who finished there island, if they didn't time travel as much.
@@gummibears211 Eh, I find it likely a lot of the facilities will be merged because there really isn't much space left on the island.
@@gummibears211 Thanka. lol.
Hopefully people who time travel know that they made that sacrifice when they finished their islands, and personally i think it would be fun to totally rethink ur layout when more comes! keeps the game more playable
i think the whole anti-time travel thing is bunk. like just let people play the game how they want, i feel like the entire point of animal crossing is to be able to play at your own pace and have fun with it
One fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait after another fish bait
bro you can put the controller down and stop spamming A to type a comment just saying
Crafting in bulk would be cook
Edit: cool
getting the clams for an hour, crafting one by one, taking them up top the mountain to get the stringish and golden trout to end up with nothing was the worse... and oh boy I still don't have a snapping turtle and I am making everything else just so I don't have to experience this again.
WoOhOOo
@@oscarkesten5512 unlucky. I had the same issue catching a stringfish. I think I used 50+ bait to finally get one.
Other tiny patch idea: Let me analyse fossils and donate the ones that the museum doesn't have yet, all in one go.
Just select all fossils when u asses them i dont understand
I`m amazed that no one mentioned durability bars for the tools. That`s like in the top five requests list
(sorry for the english, I`m not sure if it is written correctly)
well in the Nintendo Twitter and Intagram a asked Nintendo to include this.
as well as indestructable gold tools... ive never played an animal crossing game until new horizons, but ive seen many ppl comment about how its stupid that such a hard to get and expensive set of tools is breakable. its kinda stupid
@@k-koldgaming2509 Since you're a new fan you may nor know
But most tools actually did not break at all.
Tom Nook should give an option to buy a second smaller island for like 500,000 bells.
Liam Exists yeah
I went halves in Animal Crossing with my sister, she played the game first and gets the full experience whilst I don’t get the same town representative freedoms, never mind any creative differences we have with the decoration of our island... A greedy concept added I think to get people to purchase more switches as Nintendo has been pushing the idea of everyone owning their own switch (despite it being a console and NOT just a personal handheld device)
That point about aiming with tools is a good one tbh. Even harvest moon on the GameCube had an indicator of what you’d water/chop/till/etc.
Exactly, it's pretty frustrating the game doesn't have this basic ass shit in 2020. Nintendo has always been so out of touch and their games suffer for it. And people that only play Nintendo games are like here ye here ye it's the greatest thing since sliced bread its really annoying
I don't know about the mainline HM games but Rune Factory has always had the aiming facilitation he mentions too. Back from like 2006.
The slow pace is never an excuse to be inefficient though.
It's both Nintendo's greatest blessing and curse. Not listening to anyone allows them to create whatever they want, downside is they often have small/big problems with their games that often take a whole another game to fix
What are you talking about? They literally nerfed eggs when people complained about them
@@cowking6426 that's bc the outcry was so large they couldn't ignore it, in addition to it being a seasonal event. They might not be so flexible when it comes to tweaking the fundamentals of the game, but only time will tell
Being able to have a bridge _and_ an incline being built at the same time would make a huge difference.
Also not needing a river to build a bridge. I want to make a kind of suspended bridge but it wouldn't let me cause no water
Thomas Pereira good idea!! Bridges across cliffs would be so cool!
Maybe it's because there aren't any other "lloids"
around to help collect funds for the projects?
(That's my "in-universe" explanation for it, anyway...)
Also not limiting the amount of inclines and bridges you can build or at least raising the cap higher than 8. I was building up my town to have lots of mountainous terrain only to find out that I can only make 8 inclines total. I just don’t see why there has to be a limit to something like that.
Taelix Art 8 inclines AND bridges? In total?
I feel like this could’ve been a 60 minute video. I’d love a part 2.
7:17
For the shovel, I wish holding A would stop you completely AND bring up a transparent glowing square where your shovel is aiming on the grid
The ability to upgrade the look of or change the location of bridges and inclines without knocking the whole thing down.
