It’s Lia you need to have a kk slider concert! in order to have the concert you need at least a 3 star rated island, and in order to do that your island needs to be decorated well, meaning flowers, items like lampposts, bridges, etc! that’s where i’m at right now (: hope that helps

When I only had 150 hrs in the game my island looked like trash. I spent one day redoing everything using all the knowledge I learned from past experiences which lead to my island totally transforming into a much more natural scene rather then stoney and blockey.

The stone pattern you were placing in grass, try placing them on the pathways. They’ll cover the path but not go over it so the custom paths won’t be so blocky. They also will mimic the path below so if you curve it the custom path will also curve

Night Owl i tend to use sand as an under path of its see through. Otherwise I always use dark dirt under full customs Incase I want to make a garden that’s attached to my path. Otherwise there’s a strip of grass between my path and dirt which makes me think of weeds growing in a garden. If ya put the same dirt path under custom path the dirt will connect to your pathway which looks 10x better imo
Use the grass path tool for the these kinds that have the transparent patterns...took me a couple days to figure out that must be one of the reasons why they have the grass as a path option!
Jwilly Productions Don’t do it. Your starting villagers get really plain houses anyways minus well get them later game. You can always find villagers later in the game and you can also get different trees by going to book islands or through friends. Also time skipping ruins the experience, the game was made to be played day by day and the key is to have patience and watch your island grow and get better. If you keep resetting because you are not pleased with what you have you’re gonna burn yourself out and not want to play for a while. I know this Bc I time skipped a little and my friend kept on resetting their island and time skipping and now they don’t want to play anymore... but hey you do you, I’m just giving my advice so feel free to use it.
havent tested it myself but i heard that if you fence dropped items in and put a stall (DIY recipe in the nook terminal) in front, it doesnt lower your rating. something to try if you plan on doing this! i never buy enough turnips that they won't just fit in my house so i havent tried yet 😂
When you put down custom patterns using your nook phone, you don’t have to close and reopen the design app to place each one. You can place patterns on 9 tiles. Custom designs are placed on tiles in a specific pattern starting with the one you’re standing on, then the one in front of that, then the one to the left, the one to the right of that, then on the tile directly left of you, then directly right of you, then in the back left corner, back right corner, and finally the tile right behind you. Hope this helps!

My island came with a natural heart pond, with native Patches (cherries from mom). I'm running with that and making my island a very soft/cute cafe and stuff. Just a safe place to hang.
I did the turnip crop idea before I saw this video because I saw it on twitter but since the turnips were considered a dropped item, it kept me at three stars for my island evaluation so hopefully I reach 5 stars and I can do the turnip farm again! Great video as always!! Getting excited to work on my island now haha

You should get more villagers (ask Tom Nook to sell some land which will give you a house to place. You should get 10 villagers in total), plant more flowers and trees, and put more furniture down. You can just place furniture or plants wherever and come back to them once KK has visited if you want to. It doesn't have to be neat.
Dont get discouraged! I didnt do anything special and I was suprised to get 3 stars lol. I think it was because of the random furniture Im placing outside. I also only have 8 villagers

Silly Stinky Skunk I have a couple “5-star” areas on my island that I have reconstructed. It’s really not as bad as people think and it’s great having the bones already there and not having to start from scratch.
I am so sad because I was going to buy a ton of turnips today. My entire inventory was cleared. I went to go find her and I couldn't, so I searched it online. It said she leaves at 12, I look at the clock. 12:02!! I was so mad I paid of my first house loan with frying pans. This is the second week in a row that I've missed her since I started last week Sunday.

nunuri you have to use your craft table and go to customisation, select furniture with fabric and then patterns is an option

Watch videos of 5star island tours, (there's a few great ones) you can get some really good ideas for your own Island.

They do mimic, but only if the custom pattern has a single transparent spot somewhere in it, otherwise it won't mimic what's beneath it.

I really recommend not setting down your turnips outside, but put them in your house instead. They GREATLY decrease your island evaluation score.
^^^ I created a whole farm scene for the turnips and was heartbroken to find placing 30,000 turnips outside decreased my rating by 1 star.
