Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 08DEC2024 with tri-power

Today's California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0600 MST (16 min. late). There were 3 locomotives powering this 8-car consist, P42 #82 (in Phase VII colors), P42 #175, and ZP40 #824. They brought the train to a stop with car 7 to the mid-station platform for passenger service to 4 new patrons headed to Glenwood Springs. There were no passengers stepping from the train. But there was a person hanging near the back of car 8 who left the area after being called out by the conductor. With the station work safely completed, the high ball was given and on a clear signal the Zephyr rolled west toward its next stop at Denver's Union Station.
My thanks to the operating crew for the greetings today. And the boarding passengers as well.
